You should tie your mag drill off when drilling up high, just in case someone trips over the wire and unplugs it.

A piece of old ply wood drilled as the template, makes life quick, easy and repeatable, saves drilling steel plate as a template or constantly transferring measurements 👍

You could make marking the fixing holes on the beams easier. Drill your template out with just a pilot hole clamp it in position then drill through with your pilot drill bit just enough to create a dimple. This will allow you to position the pin of the mag drill. Accurate and easy to repeat. 👍

Hi, it would seem prudent to me to add a camera to the fork area and a screen in the cab for those fiddly bits and for times the arm is extended to any sort of distance.

A bit of lube when drlling the drilling the holes would cool the cutter or even a washing up bottle with water in will help to cool the cutter
