Ahh you do have the cable speedo conecting to the front wheel. I reckon its broken in the cable, you can test by putting the end down at the front wheel into the chuck of a drill, give it a spin and see if it makes the speedo work. I seem to remember having a brake in the cable and it wasnt easy to tell just by looking at it. 😊

Cheers mate, my speedo cable is bolts to the front sprocket cover, I've checked the wires as best I can, and it is connected. I have a replacement cable, but being put aside for now, as unfortunately my dog was badly attacked by a Rottweiler on Friday night, he's doing surprisingly well as a 14 y/o dog. The local newspaper want to do a piece about it.

@@HalfdeadRider Oh no, I'm so sorry. I luv dogs, big ones, small ones even in-between ones. Personally I'd have nothing to do with the local rag, the media often twist things and do you want your photo in the public domain, makes you easy to trace. @@BeansOnToast_YT yea he is being spoilt, extra food and treats, but being careful to not make him sick. I've spoken to the reporter via messenger, he's calling me tomorrow, so just a phone interview I guess. I will try to remember to record at least my side.

It’s the sound of the zx9r that really appeals to me it’s like a docile sound but in the background you know it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing……. I just read that it’s faster in acceleration than the zx12r although the 12r will have a faster top speed Regards Dave from Scotland

With the right exhaust they can be very loud, mine is now louder than before as I took the baffle out while it was off, but as it's a period correct long pipe, it's still not excessively loud. Yes your C model was the first production bike to do the quarter mile in under 10 secs @ 9.9 secs and 136mph, the mighty ZX12r does the quarter in about 10.4 secs. This is in part why I prefer the ZX9r, it's lighter and much cheaper to run, with a 12r you're paying all the extra fuel and insurance costs for a slightly higher top end that you'd barely use, plus in my opinion, the ZX9r is the better looking bike overall.

Hey bud, nice to see it's all sorted. I wish you lived here in Sydney, I could take you out on some amazing roads here. Your B roads seem to be very narrow and high risk for the fast stuff. I don't know I could get used to your roads over there. At least you guys are right hand drive, like us, so we give way to the right. Left hand drive and those those are bloody confusing. Keep up the great work, anyway bro. Ride safe. P.S. I just remembered something. In the last video, your throttle jammed up you when you first set off. What happened there ??

Would be nice to live there too mate 👍 The revving high I thing was a sticking butterfly valve on the carbs, just needed lubing from the fuel. Slight chance it could have been the new throttle cables snagging slightly at the carbs, but the throttle felt fine before and after.

It seems to be going well, sounds good and feels very strong. I've not been too far still yet, but did get a 40+ miles round trip in last week. Unfortunately my 14 y/o dog was attacked pretty badly by a Rottweiler the night of this video, so haven't wanted to leave him too much while he's healing.
