My fave thing about this movie is that it's seems to be set in the US, with all the American names and American style high school. Yet, it's in Italian, with Italian actors, so listening to them pronouncing those names sounds a bit unnatural. They should have just made it straight up Italian-coded or something.

God, I remember watching it for 15 minutes of the movies & have to pause, searching for the book, read the first book until the end, to understand WTF I'm watching. Causes the movie did so a horrible job on explaining what are these two characters relationship, depths, reason, motivation & anything!!. The worst part is that the s*x scene wasn't even great at all. I mean even My Fault have better scenes & explaining the plot. This movie is garbage. Ngl watching this whole review made me realize that people really don’t know what it’s like to survive domestic abuse lol. It very much captures how real and deep everything feels, like every breath you take is going to be the last one. And then not understanding what was going on with what Rigel was feeling the whole time made me realize that most people really just don’t know what it’s like to be mentally tormented like that by a parental figure. That shit is real asf😅 however I do agree that it would’ve been even more heartfelt if they added scenes where the two of them bonded more casually, and that being said I laughed the entire video even still😂

okay so I found the movie rather intriguing, can't say that I liked it but it felt obvious to me that there was stuff missing from the story so I started reading the book, haven't finished it, its extremely long and ive kinda lost interest but anyways, while the main plot remained the same, there are some choices made in the movie that felt very weird to me, while the tear smith thing is obviously present in the book its better explained, basically is a retelling of the boogeyman and that's what they used in the orphanage to scare the kids, but they don't talk about it with so many supernatural intonations nor is there that feeling felt throughout the book (like I get believed Rigel was a werewolf unto a certain point in the movie) also, the movie went for this "goth victorian dark romance" thing when while obviously its a forbidden romance but the gothic thing isn't present, bc of that alone I thought maybe the book was supposed to be set in like victorian times or set but no, its present day, and most of all is the change of Nica"S character, she's supposed to be kind of aloof and innocent as she's lived in the orphanage most of her life and isn't very good and social situations
