It seems like this tiny house company in Florida may be involved in some dubious practices. I have some information about the situation, especially concerning the lady with the container. I know exactly where she lives and where she bought it, which raises some serious red flags about this company 😢It's alarming how easily people can be deceived in this industry. We should definitely talk about the warning signs of a potential scam and share what we’ve discovered to help others steer clear of being taken advantage of.

Great video! Great research! I see so many of these too. This is what could contribute to higher prices because once you find the reputable ones you see how valuable it is that they are fully vetted with a proven track record. You might have said it in the video, but how did you come across this one? If it was a Google search then you can report it to them also so hopefully it won't appear when anyone else searches it. Thanks for your great work!

Hey! That's an interesting point. I did not think about how the increase in scams could up prices in the industry. Someone mentioned them in the comments but the Google report is a great idea!

@MicThinksTiny It could help a lot of people. I've seen so many search results & they're so similar that it takes a huge amount of effort to determine which ones are legit & who has the best prices. A lot of them want to email the price sheet before you can even determine if it's in the ballpark of your budget & whether or not you even want to want to go that far. It feels like a red flag to me that maybe some people get a better deal if the company isn't transparent up front what their units cost. One said the average price was $13,000 & when I asked for a quote going the email route they quoted me $40,000 & it was for a kit & not fully assembled like the ad showed at the $13,000 price. Glad you are doing the channel to help us all sort this out!

Mic - you should send a copy of your video to the Florida State Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. I would also send a copy to those companies whose images have been stolen. You are an inspiring person and I love your channel.

My tiny home pictures and videos have been stolen several times and the scammers would post my home for sale for a low price and try to get deposits sent to them …. I sold the home for $99,000 , scammers that stole my videos recently advertised the home for $21,000 ………

First, determine where you want to live in Florida. You may be restricted to an RV park for a tiny home as many areas of Florida are zoned to restrict the location of tiny homes and even mobile homes. Many areas only allow mobile homes in mobile home parks and not on private lots. There is a is builder in Charlotte NC that Mic interviewed on her channel. Watch that video. He looks like an honest guy and you could have the tiny delivered to Florida. The hurricanes in Florida are a real issue. If you were hit by a hurricane, your tiny might not fare so well. I have seen a lot of damage to even mobile homes that were impacted by Milton and Helene.

Hey! For sure check out Saylor with Coastal Tiny Homes. I'm not familiar with a builder in Florida but I'll let you know if I come across one. And yes, make sure you can legally put your tiny house on the land. Some counties/cities do not allow tiny homes on vacant land. I'm also in California!
