i can see wat you mean , problem with plumbing (if you dont want waterlines showing) is that its usually behind finished walls so if you have a problem you need to start over or at least start cutting holes had this happen to me installing a build in hanging toilet , it was leaking and i couldnt find it , broke the toilet getting it off for the thirth time and was tearing my hair out along with the subwall in front of the reservour turned out that the extention tube from reservour to toilet was leaking around the o ring , you need to put grease on that or the O ring for the pipe to slip over it or it will roll back over the pipe when you slide the outer one over it it works now but if it hadnt been leaking it wouldve ended up cheaper and looking way nicer lthan it does now

I see your offset tub faucet as the sensible way to install it. Forever I have asked WHY it is right in the center where a person's head would go if two were sharing the tub. Kids always bang themselves on the faucet right in the middle. Offset to the side is way smarter. You're genius-es!!

he couldve mounted it in the center of the long end of the tub oposit of where you step intoo the tub , you can still stand under the showerhead but when there two in the tube the walls behind them are bare , they can allso operate the faucet by reaching forwards instead of reaching behind or reaching over the other person

Our tub/shower plumbing is offset too. The plumber explained it to me at the time, but now after many years, I don't remember the reason, but I am so used to it I don't notice it any more.

I have to tell you, if this is a kids’ bathtub, the off-set spout will save your little one’s heads from bumping up against the spout. Our granddaughter cut her head on our tub’s spout because our tub slopes slightly towards the drain, and so she slid slowly to the drain and when she raised her little head, BAM, right into the corner of the spout. Ingenious on your part.

As always, I should probably wait till the end of the video before I say anything, but I don’t think I can miss on this one. As you know, I am from New England, where it snows all the time as well. The only thing I have learned as a landscaper., with steel toe boot is the toes get too cold too fast. The steel is very rough. Hope this is helpful not harmful. I guess in due time you would find out, but if you don’t know in advance. Perhaps you can trade them in. It is a great gift thank you guys for your video. God bless you Dan. They have inflatable hot tubs if you're not ready for a permanent build in. Personally I would go that route to see if you'd use it enough to justify the cost and the safety issues it presents (kids+water=drowning hazard). Most hot tubs rarely get used after the novelty wears off. And then there's upkeep and health hazards from things incubating in the hot/warm covered water. An indoor soaking/whirlpool tub makes more of a wiser investment. Don't know if it is too late for that

recently had to make repairs/ replaced shower mixing valve as they were leaking in the wall and had cut in a access thinking to myself that this should of been part of the installation not knowing where the water supply lines rough in and electrical note these valves were controlled with electrical solenoid ( pay for shower S) fortunately there was toilet stalls opposite side of Wall made location to place access relativity easy compared to some others i have had to do some installs used Sheetrock for tub shower and standing shows in my my i would never use sheetrock in this application

It looks like the right side of the shower had to get bumped out 4" to adjust to the size of the tub....why wouldnt you have moved that bump out to the shower head side so that you would have the room to center the shower head?
