Yep, it’s a when not if. And the people who go their whole time without a wreck you got lucky. Skill goes into not wrecking but there is plenty of circumstances out of the drivers control.

I always love a new Oldsmobile video. I have two 60s Oldsmobiles i built and worked on both with my grandpa and he left them to me. I hope one day i can get them back to their prior glory. Looking good Kevin, I imagine there are some folks that think maybe you're OCD is a little out of control, but I like where your head is while you're thinking out to layouts and having them be symmetrical. In a design aspect that means a lot. I've been around the Sun a little more than 71 times and many years ago my grandfather gave me a bit of advice that I held with me my whole life while being a general contractor building light commercial and residential properties. He said "Be the job big or small, do it right or not at all". That was printed on the back of my business cards and it was a moto that my company stuck to until the day I retired and closed it up. Keep up the great build on your baby, one day it will be a joy to see you go down the track.

Hey Kevin, talking about the welds you talked about around minute 09:30 in the video. You definitely do the right thing welding them all around, even if they're overlapping. From a mechanical standpoint (trained mechanic from Switzerland here), it will make the whole cage way stronger if there is no flex in it. And it will flex if it's not welded no matter what you do.

I like the big X in the back of the car. I'll be even more interested in how all that front end is going to go. I'm a bit amazed at how much there is to building a race car. I would highly recommend the mini split unit for your office. I have one that I installed myself in my woodworking shop. It's a 110 volt heat / AC unit and it works awesome cooling and heating a 16'x16' shed. They are pretty affordable and easy to install yourself. I've been thinking of putting another one in my homes two car garage.

Kevin as a fellow 352'er here in Lake County and work primarily in Marion County, I can say that the humidity sucks in our neck of the woods. Get a Mr.DYI mini split for the office and get more than one dehumidifier for the shop. I have researched the Mr.DYI system and if it wasn't for the block walls of my standard "two bay garage" attached to my house, I would A/C my garage. Definitely if I had the money to build a garage in the backyard with wood framing I think the DYI system would so go in there. I would reach out to them if I were you not only as a sponsor for a future video but, also just a better system for your shop layout. Was never a believer before but a "fast cut" style grinding disk changed my life on grinding welds away. I really should stop welding things permanently before finding it won't work 😂
