JIN and all BTS members have always said they'll go when called. Bighit wasn't even one of the 27 entertainment agencies to ask for military exemption. SM, YG, JYP, Pledis etc were one of those companies to ask exemption fir their artists. No idol have ever faced so much dehumanization like Jin.. he was called an old hag by the kpopies since he turned 24 yr old..kpopies thought BTS would lose relevance and army would focus on their faves.. now look at BTS... they're all serving with pride and Jin is coming back in JUNE.. it's only happiness for BTS and their ARMY.

Techinically South and North Korea are still at war they only have a Cease Fire Treaty (agreement) but North Korea keeps breaking and keeps threatening South Korea. BTS are the only Kpop Idol's who hold an extension eg they don't have to enter until their 30th birthday which is 2 years later than any other Kpop artist. J Hope also prepared another Album to be released in April called "Hope on the Streets" along with a documentary. I think it's a great idea for Kpop Idol's if they have the time to prepare things for their fans that can be then be released later while they are serving their country just like the BTS member have been doing eg V and Suga etc etc. Can't wait for the BTS men to return. Jin and J Hope this year the remaining 5 in June 2025. I hope all the performers who are serving keep safe and healthy.

I'm waiting for Jin and Hobi and Ha Sung-woon along with Kang Tae-oh. I'm surprised that the artist who had been diagnosed with Bi Polar and Panic disorder was allowed to enter the military. The stress of being in an unfamiliar environment would be considerable and not healthy for him. I'm so glad that SUGA was assigned to public service because of his shoulder injury. His mental health appears to be good these days so I didn't want to see him suffering a set back. Look what happened to poor Taemin who had to be transferred to public service because of the mental toll that being in the army took on him.

In this case, Korea makes an evaluation before the enlistment date, it's both physical and phycological. If Mino went to train for the military service, it means that he fell within the categories 1-3, allowing him to train (most likely under treatment). You can find more details about the grades by looking for South Korean Conscription.

Many of these idols seem to be performing whilst in the military. I thought this was frowned upon now. All the BTS members are serving in quite harsh conditions while some of those idols shown look like they’re having a party. I don’t really know many of them so perhaps I’m misunderstanding?

Some idols are allowed to participate in festivals. For what I've investigated, the same idols volunteer for that, it's not something mandatory. As Hybe controls most of the marketing for BTS, probaaaably (but that's a guess), they might not let them participate in those festivals.

Don't be nasty to other idols in favour of BTS. I doubt they appreciate it. Many of them are friends with their peers. In this video, you saw Jin taking a photo with another idol. Please grow up!

Please before making biased remarks about Americans not honoring our military. Check how many of our men signed up for service. What is the difference between being expected to serve or the draft. It is the same. Making statements like this does not promote peace.

Hello, quoting what was said, “We might see it as something awful and sad. Seeing our idols or actors leave to receive military training, it’s something we’re not really accustomed in America.” This remark is nothing about dishonoring or disrespecting our military force. But you will never see Kanye West or Justin Bieber being asked to get military training. It’s not a biased opinion, it’s facts. In America men are not forced to be trained, this is something that used to happen in the past but not anymore. Korea still does it because of their history with North Korea

War is the extreme opposite of peace. BTW Israel has mandatory military service too so even if people live in America or the UK etc, as Israelis of both genders, they are expected to serve.
