I always found the victory platform very easy to diagnose if you understand how the gun works and the pathway of the air. I loved mine. The spool engine is awesome

Wow those pressures are way too high. No wonder it leaked. That pressure tester looked like it had never been taken out of the bag.
@brucecook5024 жыл бұрын
I had the same exact issue with the pressure tester I bought for my victory, and ironically I bought it from ansgear. I also had those slightly larger pinkish orings at my disposal and replacing those 2 stock orings with the larger pink ones fixed my leak issue too. That was almost 2 years ago, and it still works perfectly with no issues to this day. btw, my settings are all way lower on my VIS than this victory in this video. I dont see why the stock settings are so damn high. My lpr is 58psi, hpr is around 178psi to get 280fps, and dwell is 4.5ms, and my consistency with these settings is +2-2 all day long, absolutely no shoot down issues, and air efficiency is outstanding, just over 14pods from a 4100psi fill just like in the hk army vcom video.
@ConTheDon1872 жыл бұрын
That's really low dwell, you could really just run into drop off issues in velocity with higher rates of fire, but lower dwell is more efficient so that helps too.
@wadeboutilier22034 жыл бұрын
Classic case of user error. People just go out and buy expensive equipment and just never read the manual. "Bob long sucks!" They exclaim as they don't bother to check their orings ever and slap on an 800psi tank. "Mom should have got me a geo". I need my dwell low as possible for no reason!!1
@Smokefools66914 жыл бұрын
All to true. They really aren't difficult to maintain. At the same time. Before Field one Bob didn't include a manual with the marker. You could download the pdf. I think that partially contributed to people messing them up and then saying BL sucks.

I have a 2k12 G6r for 2 years only have had 1 leak and it was my fault I didn’t put an oring on the right way. I hate when a someone that has been playing for 4 months asks me if they should get a bob long and I give them my honest truth. I tell them they NEED a slp reg and the need to take care of the gun and if they have any problems to look up the manual and not just start messing with the gun and taking it apart unless I am there since I have taking my g6r and a few other g6rs apart several times and they get mad because most of the time they say o well I have a mid pressure reg and I don’t need to take care of it and when they say that I tell them not to get it and if they do and mess with the gun and break it I’m not helping them
@wadeboutilier22034 жыл бұрын
@@yeti9798 all good points. One thing I have to add though, your g6r doesn't require an SLP regulator. It's perfectly fine running at 450. It's just the foolish people screwing on their Pure Energy 48/3k steel tank with their 850psi output that really grinds my gears lol.

Love these little videos. Hey Rory, any chance you have a SFT/ NXT shocker or a DM4 lying around? My buddy has 2 ancient guns and I replaced like 20 o rings between the two.. fixed most of the leaks... but still can't get the Shocker where I want it... DM4 is driving me mad...

I believe this was my gun, it was returned to ANS for poor anodizing quality. Nearly all the pink accents exposed to sunlight became bleached within one hot day of play in the height of august. I had requested the gun be redone in the same color scheme however completely polished rather then the 3-D two texture splash, to which ans reluctantly obliged. The anodizer mistakingly redid the gun as it was done originally. At the risk of a repeat I opted for a refund. Imo, I would avoid their custom anodizing. I’d also like to add, The gun was completely operational otherwise, completely air tight. The dwell that Rory snakily remarked about was double the lowest possible setting, here’s a link to the gun running at 3.2 ms, while still shooting consistently over the chrono, might I add. kzbin.info2hQ_C-PzVKM?feature=share

I've been teching guns for ~30 years. I've never seen a bad solenoid. Lots of low batteries, always change that battery and pinched orings on the bolt.
