I will be curious to hear how many years those solar panels work for. Being able to remotely mount the panel is my concern with mounting them on building's that are in the shade always. I really want video output for an external monitor too while at home.

Maybe I can make a follow up video- I have has a few of these smaller solar panels last a good while, then there are others that fail in a year or 2

It's wireless but uses your Wi-Fi to notify you, so no, useless during outage.

Wireless is easier to set up, but wired is more reliable.

I had a wired one and the wires would go bad all the time, it was very frustrating.
