It’s designed for fires in commercial kitchens so there’s probably no need to have one for a fire in your home

@@Firealarmcollectorperson agreed. A type of fire extinguisher that every household must have is a class ABC which I have 2 fire extinguishers in my house and it’s always a better idea to have more than one fire extinguisher in your home even if you just live in a mobile home that way you have one fire extinguisher at each end of your house
I'll never forget the smell of Ansulex having worked on these and R102 systems. It is really irritating to your skin if you're not careful but it is highly effective. These and Amerex K class are the only ones I'd recommend

Awesome video! I am a big fan of Ansul extinguishers and the Ansul class k extinguishers are really cool! Nice that you have one, I am hoping to get one to put in my collection in the future!

I've seen the Amerex and Ansul class K extinguishers. Of the two the Ansul is visually superior. The black label against the stainless steel tank just pops.
@FireAlarmDude59677 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, functionally, it trails. The valve uses the same stem as dry chem units. As a result, the valve constantly gets stuck down. The stainless steel quality is also rather poor. It’s a shame, as Ansul generally makes some of the best extinguishers

hey bro why don't you make a video of your fire extinguisher collection that would be great

What kind of compressor adapter do you use? Also I have a 2.5 gallon amerex water mist extinguisher with no air compressor valve on the back of the extinguisher valve, I didn't know if you knew a solution

The potassium acetate in the extinguisher is actual only moderately corrosive. It smells really bad like vinegar but it shouldn’t be too harmful just irritating
@FireAlarmDude59672 жыл бұрын
It is very corrosive. Older class K units had their brass valves completely destroyed by the agent by the 5 year mark

Late reply, but if you mean hydro testing intervals, K-Class extinguishers should be tested every 5 years

Could be a cheaper grade of stainless steel at least for the handle, such as 201 or 409, and maybe not passivated.
