I want to get a couple extra 2 and 1/2 gallon pressurized water extinguishers. I noted that Amerex makes a reasonably priced one.

Their control barriers are provided with interchangeable base/foot for simple storage and repairs. These types of interlocking barricades are well suited for perimeter stability and safety even for fire protection. Water mist extinguishers are rated for class A and C fires. The water mist extinguisher, not to be confused with a water extinguisher which is rated for class A only, differs in two ways. First, it discharges a fine mist which serves to remove the heat side of the fire tetrahedron, hence it's name, water mist. Second and most important, the water inside is deionized, to make it non-conductive. You see, pure water, or deionized, is actually a very poor conductor of electricity, and tastes pretty bad. The minerals and impurities in water is what makes it a good conductor of electricity. It should be worth noting that when faced with a class C fire, after the power has been shut off, the fire can then be treated as a class A or B fire depending on the fuel Involved. Therefore an extinguisher suitable for C fires will always have either an A-B-C, B-C, OR A-C rating, with the "C" simply meaning the extinguishing agent is non-conductive.
