ill give my answer here for now because im not sure if id be able to make a whole video on this! for the act, i honestly don't think anyone needs a tutor or any outside help. personally, i took one or two practice tests in the summer of sophomore year and got a general grasp of what subjects i was strong and weak in. i was content with my science score but not the most confident with the others so i got subject specific prep books for math, english, and reading and completed all of them over a few months span. also keep in mind, i would stick to one subject for a whole week and then move onto the others because for me, i wasn't able to retain a lot of knowledge if i jumped around a lot. after completing the subject books then i got a prep book that was just a bunch of old act tests and i would take one once every week or two during the summer! i didn't really do any studying during the school year because i was busy but i would try to take one the night before the actual tests to refresh my memory. i also recommend taking the writing section even if your not confident in it! im pretty sure i got an 8 out of 12 on every exam except the last one lol. in terms of this years college application process, i highly recommend you to take the act or sat even if its test optional. its kind of like how a lot of schools say their supplemental essays are "optional" but they're really not unless you have a specific and good explanation on why you didn't take it. hope this helps! (looking back on this, maybe this is enough to make a video on lol)

all my interviews were in mid - late november after i submitted everything! the interviewer reaches out to you through email so you don't have to contact them first. i didn't go through the regular decision round so im not sure when those interviews take place. good luck!

omg I'm shook; we're basically twins LMAO,, I'm also Korean, and my legal name is apparently really difficult to pronounce (people mess it up SO BADLY and make jokes about it too), so it gets pretty frustrating especially when I have to tell my teachers in the beginning of each year that I go by Hailee >:( I was also thinking about legally changing my name for college next year, but I'm still not sure if I want to do that.
