I sort of wish there was a video essay that focused on each game and its multiple endings, following them like a flow chart style, pointing out each cannon(our definition) ending and why it is. And then discuss what each side possibility ending is and what we learn from it

That would be so awesome. Finding the definitive canon ending, or trying to, for each game in one video would be very satisfying, and possibly useful (especially for the more confusing games). I feel like some of them are "good" or "true," so maybe that wouldn't be very interesting for the earlier games, but I'd love to see and explanation of every ending regardless.

The bunker could have more than one entrance. Plus if you have to crawl through literal vents in order to navigate your job where you electrocute animatronics as if they were animals to "motivate" and keep them in line, then going through a house to access it wouldn't be over these guys weirdometer. No clue who could be running it, probably what's left of the crumbling Fazbear company.

Being that Michael eats popcorn and watches tv in a room with the same art deco sun clock, Michael likely inherited the property. William only opened circus baby’s restaurant for one day before it was shelved and moved down into the bunker. He likely lived for a while maintaining it before he got locked and bricked up in the private room. He likely had checks and balances in place to run the business in perpetuity as long as some sort of revenue stream was occurring. At least that is what I always thought.

I love the Completed Burntrap Theory for the Tangle fleeing Ruin. It makes a lot of sense, and I wonder if the story Count The Ways was hinting at someone being tortured inside the Tangle?

Wonderful podcast as always. I agree with you about 1-6 being in universe games and Steel Wool subtly tweaking old details to fit a new story. Especially fascinated to see how the Into the Pit game will turn out in this regard. I have a theory that they'll tweak the (previously memory-based) ballpit into an actual time travelling one but we shall see. I really like your 'hill I'd die on' theory about Michael. I'd like that to believe that too.

I mean I guess so, there’s still strange evidence that she’s around in ruin with the graffiti. A strong theory is that Vanessa and Gregory made MXES (which doesn’t make sense to me because why would Vanessa make something that looks and acts like her abuser) and went back to RUIN. But, if it was Vanessa writing the graffiti on the wall, why wouldn’t she have put her name instead of her evil side “Vanny”. I think I’m going off topic here from what you asked but what I’m trying to say is, there’s some evidence Vanny is still around, possibly meaning Glitchtrap is too

When it comes who likely wrote the code wall in Security Breach, we have to step back and ask our self why especially there an what's more, why is there even Michael's room. The only characters who we knew the layout of the room are Michael himself and the Funtimes as Ennard. It would surely make it easier to theorize when those kind of fundamental questions are getting at least partially answered.

Here’s another way things could have gone: Gregory frees Vanessa and grabs the head of glamrock Freddy afterwards they escaped from the pizzaplex. Meanwhile, vanny’s experiments from earlier did allow burntrap to come alive. He escaped, so the tangle follows. Then Cassie’s dad is hired to go to the destruction and salvage what assets they had. Unknown to him and the company that the mimic was still trapped. He goes through help wanted 2 only to then be claimed by Glitchtrap or the Mimic. I think the whole “vanny crushing Glitchtrap” was in someway a message that her mind was no longer under his control. There’s things that could be changed, but at the moment that seems the most logical chain of events.

In your layout of how things were positioned i think you need to consider how the environment changed over time. It's clear to me that the house from midnight motorists once stood in the woods that now resides the pizzaplex. With the massive size of the pizzaplex would it be reasonable to assume that not only Jr.s was covered up by the 'Plex but the Fnaf4/Midnight motorist house was consumed by it as well, making the hidden living room we find within it's walls the real deal, but also the last remains of the huanted house. This frees Vanny from having to construct the room and make the code but just a forgotten element of cheap construction with a whole room sealed between its walls. And opening the message writer to be any number of characters, whom i suspect most being Henry or Michael

What if the burntrap ending is canon by Scott definition, and he's implying these are events that could possibly happen if the characters had chosen that route instead? So Gregory didn't Inverness and destroy the lair, but he did free vanny of his control so no ones watching over him anymore, (then they convert the lair to a prison, shutting it down and severing any connection so now it's just mimic programing, and that's why the 2 programs were working together to defeat mxes so they can reconnect maybe?)

Regarding the difference between Carlton and Michael's remnant 'treatments' - Carlton gets a full syringe into his heart and survives / returns to being a full healthy human. Michael has trace amounts left in him after having his organs and bones being torn out of him and gradually becomes a rotting walking skin suit. What if the difference in results is due to the amount of remnant they each received + the relative damage done to them during the 'injection' process?

Might I suggest a slight modification to the lovely diagram you drew? You see, Fredbear's was relatively small, and the megapizzaplex is massive, spanning, I would say, multiple city blocks essentially. Therefore, rather than the FNaF 4 house being separate/near it, I think it make more sense to assume that the megapizzaplex was built over that as well. This adds an extra dimension to the room in the pizzaplex with with the wall code and basket of butters and tv. I'm not necessarily saying the pizzaplex was literally built around that room (because the way you access it clearly implies some shenanigans), but I think it works, symbolically if nothing else, as an indication that the FNaF 4 house is 'part of' the pizzaplex in some sense.

16:00 I really think that the in universe games are 1,2 ,3 (maybe 4) because the nightmares are mentioned by micheal in the logbook. So they could just be from there. And Fazbear is definitely the type of company to take things like ennard and scraptrap and make merch out of them especially becasue they try to "erase" tge past in Help wanted so if they make them into characters attention would be pulled there. Kinda like that conspiracy theory with "Disney Frozen" that the frozen movie was made to draw away from the actual frozen head. That conspiracy is nonsensical but its a perfect example. Edit: Plus even if only henry and micheal saw them there are still records of them like the molten freddy blueprint. Edit edit: and that golden freddy does not appear in help wantes at all which means he wasnt in the indie games.

As for William Afton controlling the other animatronics in the games, like the movie and books, I think there's actually some pretty strong evidence for it in the games. Or, at least, it would explain a lot. Especially in Fnaf 6. Why Baby went from a manipulative, deceptive killer, who loves to pretend to get what she wants... to just a really big Daddy's girl. It would explain a lot if her attitude in the game was because of a little more than just... feeling guilty for disobeying her dad that one time and it getting herself killed. And Lefty. Why do THEY kill you? Like, in Fnaf 2, sure there was the new security systems which were going haywire, and her viewing you as the enemy- something quite possibly valid, with your theory of Mike working for his father back then. But now? And beyond just that- WOULDN'T HENRY DESIGN LEFTY TO NOT KILL PEOPLE!? And, on top of that, the ACTUAL psychopathic killer is just, there, with them. You'd think there would be a scuffle between Lefty and Scraptrap one of the many times they come face to face with each other in those claustrophobic vents... but instead... Lefty chooses to ignore that, and go for the nightguard trying to help their father? ...but, if Lefty, the puppet inside, or both, are under some level of control from good ol' William "I always come back" Afton... suddenly, some details make a lot more sense...

I’m still stuck on the fact that HW 2 has mini games from Pizza Sim, and if we’re playing as Jeremy then that means he also experiences Pizza Sim, except he’s only confirmed to have collected Pig Patch, Lefty, and Scrap Baby, but not Molten Freddy or ScrapTrap, so he didn’t get the Henry Ending, he must have gotten one of the other endings.

If we’re believing that Glitchtrap wrote the triangular wall code, I believe that’s how Gregory got taken over by the Glitchtrap virus. He watched all of Freddy and Friends On Tour, which happens to be playing randomly in that same room, and all those glitched frames that make up Glitchtrap were how it got into his head. The wall code tells him to destroy the Glamrocks because THAT’s how Glitchtrap wants Gregory to build Afton a new body, because that’s exactly what he does - he destroys the Glamrocks and upgrades Freddy to make him strong enough to get down to FNAF6, where Burntrap immediately tries to transfer into Freddy.

So I was actually thinking about the whole "William-controlling-the-animatronics-through-remnant" thing. Remnant only takes a hold over something with a consciousness, right? A.I. and technology count as a consciousness, as we've seen with things like the Fetch endo being used in the Stitchwraith. What if William intentionally injected the animatronics with remnant, knowing that their programming would be taken over by it? That way, he could control the programming, which would effectively control the remnant as well. And that got me thinking further. What if the Springbonnie suit somehow remotely controls the animatronics' programming when William wheres it? Let me explain because I know that sounds like insane fanfiction bullshit. When William returns to the fnaf 1 location to destroy those animatronics, he hides in the Springbonnie suit when the spirits manifest. Why does he hide in the suit though? It's not like that suit somehow makes him invincible or something, protecting him from the crying children. I imagine that those crying children we see are manifestations of remnant and agony that have become loose from the animatronic programming now that William has destroyed them. William, in a panic, doesn't take that into account and tries to take control of the children using the suit, so he can stop them. That's why he put on the suit, but he's a doofus so it springlocked him. This was kind of a thrown-together theory so shit might not make sense. Oh well, just something to think about I suppose.

If you say that the endings in Security Breach are possibilities, would that mean that they *could* be leading to multiverses or something? There is around at least 6 endings in Security Breach and 3 endings in Ruin. So both could be leaning towards multiverses. But who knows, I could be wrong.

I think it’s a lot simpler than “burntrap ending didn’t happen yet” or “burntrap and vanny already got out” etc., the easiest and most reasonable solutions are often the answer and overlooked. I just think seeing the Tangle in Ruin but a lack of Burntrap is showing that he is inside of it still, and with how the Tangle had been tunneling, it had just escaped with William being tormented inside it before Vanny or anyone could try and start those experiments and to get him running again. And it makes the narrative satisfactory as we have some piece of William remaining in the form of Glitchtrap as an antagonist, while his spirit or consciousness is being tormented in UCN, of which the Tangle is the vessel as was suggested.

Again, I think Vanny and Glitchtrap just escaping off screen is horribly unsatisfying from a narrative perspective, and now they’re just safe? I don’t think the Tangle is on the move and tunneling to follow them, it’s doing it to escape and play keep away with Afton.

maybe ennard and shadow bonnie are known trought rumors an hurban legends in universe. we know that Michael was well known and that he lived in shadow for a long time, so maybe he could have spoken about his story, or maybe fazbear enterteinment knows about him an d all the Afton tragedy so they are trying to cover up the story. for the shadow animatronics we know that some kid at the fnaf 2 location has seen them because they created the paper plates pal , who are childish representations of shadow bonnie and shadow freddy, so maybe the deverloper or faz. entertainment interwiewed them and used theyr sightings as a made up story. or maybe they were caught by the security camera's tapes of the fnaf2 location like we see in the game. After that they becomed a famous , in universe, hurban legend. This could be also the way people, in the fnaf universe ,came to know about Ennard's existence (rought the camera tapes of the sister location secret room).
