I am 22, I am currently fighting a brain tumor and it's has really gotten me thinking about death. Before i found out I had a tumor I didn't really think about it, but now I am up most terrified and it has brought out the worst of me. I now have huge anxiety attacks or panic attacks and I find myself thinking negatively a lot. Death is something I am truly scared of, and it's hard not to think about it. Anyway thank you for all you do, your videos have helped me sleep and take my mind off at night, and I am glad I found your channel.

In regards to the simulation conversation; maybe the reason we experience deja vu is because whenever there is a glitch that we might catch the creators of the simulation do a roll back. Just wanted to point out Rift, you said somewhere "back when we were Neanderthals" but in actuallity there were a lot of human-kinds in the prehistory, but we were not the Neanderthals. 'Our' kind however is just Homo Sapiens. All kinds of 'homo something' lived along side eachother at some point. (Homo Florensis, Homo Erectus, Homo eclitus etc. Etc.) Neanderthals at some point have completely dissapeared. Two leading theories as to why: - We crossbreeded with them (hence suspected Neanderthal dna strings found in homo sapiens dna) - We completely made them go extinct. Homo Sapiens is known to not be the most "accepting" species so its entirely possible we made them go extinct just like a lot of other animal species.

I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. Now, contemporary atheism mostly clashes with the issue of the portrayal of god as another object, force or rule in the universe. Interestingly enough, Rift touched upon the very fabric of god in this video, but not, perhaps, in a way he intended. What separates a modern-day man from any other godless animal that is man? A moral compass. A ruleset of laws which we came to know and respect. We are not hardwired to obey them, but we still perceive them as a foundation to our existence. As a man who studied religious texts in his education, Rift is probably familiar with many statements in the Bible that compare God to Man. Especially through Jesus, who bears the universal story of a hero (i.e. of the Hero's Journey) and is a man. Now, one of the more famous passages is of Luke 17:21: "The Kingdom of God is within you". Just let it sink in. We are not bound by any external force to behave the way human morals dictate us to, but our society makes these morals necessary for it's existence. So, in a way, God is you yourself. But more specifically, you, as you perceive yourself in a society. And sets so many stones in place. Like why the God is called the all-powerful creator - because human society invented the wheel and built itself marvelous monuments of architecture, reached into space and will do so much more. In this regard I can interpolate that religion is not humbling man before God, but instead shedding light on Man's ability to be god. And why so many people say "Oh my God", because God is yours and yours only, since it is your perception of yourself. And that's why every religious person believes differently, even in a same god. Something that struck me as an epiphany in the middle of a crisis in my life.

Pree Assma hey bro, First off metaphors aren't true or false, there not truth apt, what you're saying is not logically required to accept, unless you're claim is that all religions were created as metaphors intentionally which i don't see proof of. There's no moral compass, although there's objective morality, empathy and prosocial behavior being in the category of moral,but what we value through morality isn't sense value is personal and incommensurable and in some cases mutually exclusive therefore no moral compass. The last bit just seems like word play rather than anything else.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
