Chase twohundredmph of course not! But now your under the hypothesis that only good things happen to those who believe in God. The difference is... we know where this goodness comes from. And that’s the grace of Jesus Christ. Without the presupposition that God exists, there is no basis to call anything good because there is no moral standard. And if morality was subjective... then you can’t say what Hitler did.. or a rapist.. or anything in that matter is wrong

Let us be very careful to judge Ravi Zacharias, his team and their ministry because it is a very fearful thing that happened, and judgement is not our portion. If your and my deepest and most personal sins, including the lusts and desires of our hearts, were displayed for all the world to see, there would be no difference between him and you or me. He has gone to be with the Lord. We are still here, to figure out how to respond, and how to present our hearts before the Lord. Ravi is afforded our forgiveness, not because of how intelligent or eloquent he was, but because his life was worth Jesus' death, just the same as yours and mine. In the end we are all victims of sin and its devastating effects, in one way or another. It's a mistake to imagine what happened to Ravi can't happen to any one of us, in the right circumstances, with the right people around us and the right issues going on in our and their lives at that moment. Judgement is the Lords' alone. Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.

Ravi is asleep in his grave just like Adam and Eve, waiting for final judgment. No one has a head start on anything. The wages of sin for all is death, not hell. Hell is Satan's snare along with trinity and the never dying soul of man. --All deceptions. It also says we MUST do righteous judgment. 😂 I love the answer about arts. That’s why in the Bible never says “ In the beginning was Video” but It is in the Beginning is the Word. So when transmitted into the picture it must be accurate. Think rightly and translate it artistically as an illustration not the reverse or the other way around. Even arts must have a boundary. Worship God in beauty of its holiness.

Kibbie Lou, I agree it is narrow because there is only one way, which is Jesus. the world seems to offers so many other ways to apparent happiness and false salvation that is confusing for the world. But as Ravi said, yes salvation is through Jesus but HIS grace and Mercy is so large. That's what we have to convey to others, help them to see from another point of view, from HIM the path looks huge!!!!. God bless

The way is narrow because we must approach God everyday with a meek, humble and contrite heart. This is what Jesus meant by saying "deny yourself and take up your cross daily". He meant laying aside our own willpower and depending completely on Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us. He paid for our sins and deafeted sin and death forever. He is our salvation and our victory. 1Corinthians ch2vs1-2: "And I brethren, when I came to you, came I not with excellency of speech or wisdom(of man) declaring unto you THE TESTIMONY OF GOD. For I determined to know nothing among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified."

Sasu Poutanen I find it funny you don't understand mark 6. Nearly every time the Lord Jesus healed anyone it was said your faith has made you whole, the roman solider that didn't need to see but knew if the Lord Jesus willed it his servant will be healed, read what the Lord Jesus said, I have yet to find among the people of Israel such faith. quote if you have the faith of a mustard seed you can move a mountain. God doesn't force himself into those who reject him especially his own, it is not For God to show off with his all mighty power in order to make them believe rather the faith in the Lord Jesus is they key to our salvation. Without faith in God we have nothing. In the same verse the Lord Jesus did put his hands on the sick and they were healed. So where is your accusation that he has no power ? Mark 6 is a message about faith, if you reject God then he will not save you my friend. You are an ignorant to say the least, because you fail to understand that the holy bible is a complete book from start to finish and no one can understand the Lord Jesus just by reading one verse. If that was the case then God would of revealed one page with I am God worship me and that's it. Repent and turn from your wicked ways. Mohammad is burning in hell for his sins and filthy ways

Most of us are guilty of looking at life with a magnifying glass, and we should be looking into a mirror , the Lord said he that is without sin cast the first stone, and then he asks where are your accusers, theirs none , and he the Lord replied no I accuse you , and he was clear go and sin no more. However we still may , however we shouldn’t have the mentality to desire to engage in any sin, and he did say if a man know to do right and do it not unto him it is sin. Only one can Judge , yet he chose to be merciful unto us.

Hebrew is only one semitic language among others like Arabic or Aramaic. Original hebrew as a language is lost and no one knows how to speak it anymore. The hebrew you see in the Masoretic tanakh is just a modern educated guess how the old hebrew sounded and looked. Nothing divine in the hebrew language.

For years, Mr. Zacharias claimed to be a "professor at Oxford." He made the claim in speeches to fans and donors and at his website. On August 22, 2018, Mr. Zacharias was forced to admit that he had never been a professor at Oxford. For years Mr. Zacharias claimed to be "an official lecturer" at Oxford. In September of 2016, the University of Oxford stated in writing that Mr. Zacharias has never been an employee of the University. For years, Mr. Zacharias claimed in his author bios to be "Cambridge educated." In August of 2018, Mr. Zacharias admitted that he had never enrolled at the University of Cambridge. He based his "Cambridge educated" claim on merely having observed lectures at the University of Cambridge for 2 -- 3 months in 1990, when he was in his mid-40s. For years, Mr. Zacharias has claimed that he studied "quantum physics" at the University of Cambridge under the renowned physicist, Dr. John Polkinghorne. The University, however, has confirmed that Dr. Polkinghorne only taught Buddhism and The Science/Religion Dialogue during the term Mr. Zacharias attended lectures at the University. Mr. Zacharias observed science/religion dialogue lectures and converted this to the claim that he studied quantum physics "under" Dr. Polkinghorne, a claim he makes widely in his public lectures. Mr. Zacharias claims in his published writings that in the mid-1980s he chaired a "Department" at Alliance Theological Seminary in New York. In fact, the Seminary had no departments when Mr. Zacharias was there. Mr. Zacharias claims in his writings that in 1965 he won an international preaching competition in Hyderabad, India, and was awarded the "Asian Youth Preacher Award." This award never existed. Furthermore, all three of the judges at the competition have stated that it was an India-only competition. Despite compelling evidence of career-long deceit by "the great apologist of our time," Mr. Zacharias continues to receive awards, speaking engagements and book contracts from Christians in the apologetics business. His own denomination, the Christian & Missionary Alliance refused to discipline him; the Southern Baptist Convention invited him to speak at their Dallas Convention in 2018; four months after Mr. Zacharias settled his lawsuit, HarperCollins Christian Publishing announced a new book contract with him; and apologetics organizations, churches and Christian colleges continue to invite him to speak to their audiences. Mr. Zacharias was a recent speaker at the Anglican Church in North American annual assembly in Plano, Texas. I, David Virtue, attended this event and heard him speak. Dr Ravi Zachariah you are an amazing person who is filled with the RUACH HA KODESH (Holy Spirit) I have always enjoyed watching you on KZbin. I have a small request to make, could you kindly start using our Creator’s true name which is YHWH or Yahweh and HIS beloved Son’s name is Yahshua Ha MASHIYACH. The RCC have kept YHWH’s name hidden from the public knowledge for centuries. On 24 February 2017 speaking to a delegation of Jewish Leaders at the vatican on Thursday Pope Francis revealed he has instructed the Vatican Secret Archives to unseal a set of ancient scrolls that had been kept hidden from the public knowledge for centuries by the Roman Catholic Church. The scrolls which were encased in marble and buried in 463AD are said to contain the True Name of God as communicated to Moses in the Book Of Exodus. Pope St Hilarius issued a decree striking any mention of God’s name from official Church literature. It is about time the RCC is brought in line. If the Catholics wish to treat the pope as their god then that is their choice. As a Christian i refuse to disobey my Maker especially when learning the truth. God, Lord, LORD god are all generic titles that are given to lesser gods and man. Satan is also referred to as god. I think personally that referring to the MOST HIGH with a lower than lower title as that used on the evil one presents a serious issue. LORD is Baal.

I consider the 6 day theory an insult to creation. Time is a function of environment and therefore you could not make an absolute measure of it until you have created the environment, please go take a basic physics course in a college and you will understand.

Let's open our mind to thinking on scale. If I told you to build a doghouse in 7 days- could you do it? I'm betting you could. If I told a five year old to build a doghouse in 7 days could he do it? Human beings are akin to the 5 y/o, we could barely fathom the mechanics because while our species are intelligent, there has to be something that compared to us is exponentially, if not infinitely more intelligent than us. An ant, if he could would view humans as a "greater force" or "god" if you will, but it will never be able to understand how existence works from a human perspective. Imagine that from an animals perspective- human beings as we know ourselves to be do not exist. It is only when we impose our will that animals realize there is something greater than them. We are on the level of ants, we are like animals- so to speak. We will never really understand existence beyond what we can observe. Also, a mere thought puts something into existence, so just the thought of a day puts it into existence (not everything that exists is physical). Case and point-cell phones, 100 years ago impossible- not even a thought. 50-60 years ago improbable- maybe in the movies, today- do you prefer Apple or Android?

There is strong evidence that current monotheism evolved from polytheistic religions. How does one conclude that monotheism is true while simultaneously claiming polytheism is false. Additionally, how can one claim their specific religion to be the only true one when all religions hold the same level of evidence that they are the one true religion. I hope to hear the answer to this.
@MojoPin1983
@MojoPin1983 4 жыл бұрын
@MeanKno Whether your first sentence is accurate or not is irrelevant; what matters is not how we arrived at monotheism, rather, 'is it true?', and if so, which theistic worldview is the correct one. *Why Polytheism is false and Christianity True?:* kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZonQe5KNa7aqqNk "Additionally, how can one claim their specific religion to be the only true one when all religions hold the same level of evidence that they are the one true religion. I hope to hear the answer to this." All religions don't hold the same level evidence. I think what you meant to say is that all religions claim to be the exclusive truth. Well, some religions aren't even theistic. There is no deity in Buddhism, for example. To answer your question more thoroughly, refer to the following links: "Christianity is unique among theistic worldviews. Some religious systems are based purely on the doctrinal, proverbial statements of their founders. The wisdom statements of Buddha, for example, lay the foundation for Buddhism. In a similar way, the statements of L. Ron Hubbard form the basis of Scientology. But in both these examples, the statements of these worldview leaders exist independently of any event in history. In other words, these systems rise or fall on the basis of ideas and concepts, rather than on claims about a particular historical event. While Christianity makes its own ideological and conceptual claims, these proposals are intimately connected to a singular validating event: the Resurrection of Jesus Christ." -- J. Warner Wallace, *Verifiability is a Christian Distinctive:* coldcasechristianity.com/writings/verifiability-is-a-christian-distinctive/ *Mining for God | What Sets Christianity Apart from the Other World Religions? | William Lane Craig:* kzbin.info/www/bejne/gamWkpl7rtlpeas *Why is Christianity Right? | Ravi Zacharias:* kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWbUe4OQrriibaM *Why is Christianity Right Among Other Religions? (William Lane Craig):* kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqawg4Nul7-Le7M "I hope to hear the answer to this." With respect, I would gently urge you not to wait upon KZbin commenters to answer questions for you. Most people will never read your comments on this video. If ascertaining the truth is your goal, then you ought to be diligently searching for it instead of relying on others to seek you out and answer your questions for you. You're obviously intellectually curious enough to be even asking such questions, and engaging in this sort of dialogue, so I would encourage you to take the initiative to do your own research. If you just sit back and wait to others to do the tough work for you, you may never find the answers to the questions that you're mystified by, and that would be a sad thing. There are good answers to your questions, if you are willing to put in the time to conduct an objective investigation.

@@MojoPin1983 Great reply in that you provided some resources for me to look into. My only qualm is that you provided mostly YT videos and I am weary of those as anyone can claim authority while making a video full of false information or opinions. I will check them out either way. I wish you'd suggested some textual resources written by a scholar on this topic with possible ecidences - besides the Bible - to support their claims. For example atheists provided me with: 1. A History of God: The 4,000-Year Quest of Judaism, Christianity and Islam by Karen Armstrong 2. Who wrote the new Testament? By Burton L. Mack 3. The Bible with Sources Revealed by Richard Elliot Friedman and a few others with verifiable evidence backing their writings (I can provide other books if you're interested in reading). Although you are right about not seeking answers in YT comments I always believe that whether people engage or not doesn't matter. More so questions like these (I hope) encourage passer bys to think more on the matter or maybe dig deeper into their own world view. Thank you for replying and giving me the opportunity to learn more from the Christian perspective on a subject matter I find very interesting.

@@MojoPin1983 As a follow up. It appears that the people in the videos you privided are scholars in their field of study and I appreciate that, but they aren't offering evidences that I haven't heard before or that I haven't heard other religions and atheists counter. They mostly are all using the resurrection of Christ as why their religion is THE correct one, but besides the Bible, there is no reason to take this as true and as a matter of fact Judaism and Islam would both say this claim is not true. In the case of Islam, which I've studied less than Christianity, but still quite a lot, they claim their book contains all types of scientific and mathematical breakthroughs that were provided by God as their evidence. The point I am trying to make is that all religions use their Holy Book as their "evidence" while simultaneously saying all others are false. The sources you provided are basically doing more of the same, but through the Christian lense. Anywho cheers for answering me in a respectful way.
@MojoPin1983

@MeanKno I provided other sources than just KZbin videos, exclusively. The medium is irrevelevant, however. What matters is the content, and whether those who are writing/speaking have the credentials to discuss the topic(s) at hand. Many of the sources I provided feature William Lane Craig, who is an eminent theologian, and one of the world’s top Christian philsophers. He is more than qualified to opine on theological matters. If in doubt, you can always research the people that your interlocutors suggest, in order to determine their merit. Don’t discount the Bible (namely, the gospels and letters of Paul) as valid historical sources. They are our earliest and most reliable accounts pertaining to the historical Jesus. As for books, I can suggest many. With respect to theology, you might want to look into *The Blackwell Companion to Natural Theology* by William Lane Craig and J.P. Moreland. Additionally books on the subject that are worth reading are *On Guard:* *Defending Your Faith with Reason and Precision,* and *Reasonable Faith:* *Christian Truth and Apologetics* (both books are by William Lane Craig). With respect to Jesus’ resurrection (in addition to the aforementioned books by William Lane Craig), a good introduction would be *A Historical Case for the Resurrection of Jesus* by Gary R. Habermas and Michael R. Licona. If you want something more advanced, and scholarly, I would recommend reading N.T. Wright’s *Christian Origins and the Question of God* (4 volumes) series; namely, *The Resurrection of the Son of God.* N.T. Wright is arguably the preeminent Biblical scholar of the last 100 years, and said book is probably the most comprehensive literature on the subject that has ever been written. “As a follow up. It appears that the people in the videos you privided are scholars in their field of study and I appreciate that, but they aren't offering evidences that I haven't heard before or that I haven't heard other religions and atheists counter. They mostly are all using the resurrection of Christ as why their religion is THE correct one, but besides the Bible, there is no reason to take this as true and as a matter of fact Judaism and Islam would both say this claim is not true.” If Jesus’ bodily rose from the dead, as he predicted, then he vindicated his divine claim and proved that he was/is God incarnate. If this was a concrete event in history, then it’s game, set, match; Christianity is true. Why, you might ask? The law of contradiction states that any two opposing things cannot both be truth at the same time. ‘A’ cannot be both ‘A’ and ‘B’ simultaneously. For example, Christianity and Islam can’t both be true because they claim very different things about Jesus. Either one of them is true, and the other false, or neither of them are true. They can’t both be correct, as that would be a logical contradiction. With that said, refer back to a couple of the links that I cited. The uniqueness of Christianity is that its core doctrine is predicated on the claim that God has entered into history, taken on human form, and given a historically verifiable means of demonstrating this through the bodily resurrection of Jesus. Again, refer to the J. Warner Wallace quote that I previously mentioned. “They mostly are all using the resurrection of Christ as why their religion is THE correct one, but besides the Bible, there is no reason to take this as true and as a matter of fact Judaism and Islam would both say this claim is not true.” That is question begging. Why doesn’t the Bible count as *real* evidence? See the following clip?: *Are The New Testament Documents Historically Credible?:* kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJKkiJ1vrttpers&t There are several reasons why we shouldn’t trust what the Quran has to say about Jesus. I will highlight a couple of things. The Quran denies one of the most solid facts of ancient history: Jesus’ crucifixion. It claims that it was only made to *appear* that Jesus was crucified. Additionally, the Quran was written by a *single* author, more than *600* years after Jesus’ death. In other words, we have no contemporary, independent eyewitness testimony. We have the word of a single man who wasn’t even alive during the same era as Jesus and his disciples. Contrast that with the gospels and letters of Paul, which are early, multiple, independent, biographies and historical accounts written by (in the case of Paul) and during the time of the eyewitnesses, thereby giving us multiply-attested accounts of the life, ministry, and death of Jesus, as well as the ensuing events, which could be fact-checked by Jesus’ contemporaries. On those grounds, I think we have good reason to believe that the Quran is historically indefensible. Yes, virtually all religions will lay exclusive claims to the truth, but most of them aren’t even grounded in any historical event(s) whereby if one could disprove them, the religion would be false. It basically boils down to the three monotheistic faiths: Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. One needs to examine and weigh the evidence. I think Christianity stands head and shoulders above the others with respect to evidence in its favour. As I demonstrated, very briefly, Islam stands on very shaky grounds, and Christianity is what Judaism was pointing to. Jesus was the consummation of the Mosaic Law. Perhaps I should address the minimal facts pertaining to the historical Jesus, in case you are unfamiliar. The gospels are written in the genre of ancient Greco-Roman biography, similar to those written by Arrian and Plutarch about the life of Alexander The Great. There are four, historical facts that must be explained by any adequate historical hypothesis. Virtually all ancient historians and New Testament scholars (Christian, Jewish, and *critical atheists)* affirm the following: *Fact #1: After his crucifixion, Jesus was buried in a tomb by a member of the Jewish Sanhedrin named, Joseph of Arimathea. The death of Jesus on the cross is one of the most solid facts of history.* *Fact #2: On the Sunday following the crucifixion, Jesus’ tomb was found empty by a group of his women followers.* *Fact #3: On multiple occasions and under various circumstances, different individuals and groups of people experienced appearances of Jesus alive from the dead. This is a fact which is universally accepted today by New Testament scholars.* *Fact #4: The original disciples believed that Jesus was risen from the dead, despite their every predisposition to the contrary.*

Does Ravi read KZbin comments? Probably not. Here's a contradiction I would like to put forward to you online theologians: God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus are the Godhead, the holy trinity; three persons codified as one. Satan tempted Christ a total of three times, in the dessert, atop a temple, and at the top of a mountain. Did Satan tempt Christ as part of the Godhead? Or, did he temp Christ as and entity separate from the Godhead? Either of these outcomes produces a logical doctrinal issue for me. If Christ is part of the Godhead, Satan is effectively temping God, a being more powerful than himself, with whom he would have no leverage. If Satan tempted Christ as a man, it undermines his divinity (and consequently the trinity) which pushes doctrinal cohesion out of reach. Any explanations out there?

Christ was both man and divine. Both the Son of God and the Son of Man. He had a mother of flesh but was born of the spirit of God himself. Christ exhibited humanity as evidenced by his crying out "why have you forsaken me?" And when he prayed in the gardens for the cup to pass him. A hard concept to understand yes. Confusing yes. But I'll also say this. Yes the devil is tempting a being of far greater power than his own. When you think about the history of the devil, being cast from heaven from wanting power like God. If satan, a being of significantly less power than God would defy God, it's not farfetched for him to try and tempt God in flesh form. Temptation in itself is not a sin. It's what temptation causes you to do. Jesus did not succumb to the devils temptation, leaving him sinless in this area, further fortifying the idea of Christ in the Godhead.

@Tim Girard William Lane Craig has several, thorough articles on the divine and human nature of Jesus, on his website, reasonablefaith.org. They might help to answer your questions.

Jesus was suppose to live in perfect submission to the father as a man. I believe that Satan tempted him to use his power as God to usurp his mission as a man. It didn't work obviously. Jesus endured the temptation and didn't sin obviously. So he tempted his human flesh. God can't sin. So how could he be tempted as God.. that make sense?

I heard patiently his response for a question about narrowness (ca 50:00 min. and on) of Christian path, I couldn't believe how patently he avoids the basic problem of Christian exclusiveness. Christianity and every exclusivistic movement of a kind has unsurpassable problem, that beyond, before and along christendom there is a world completely unaware of Christ and grace-salvation. Every system pretending to universality should be able to respond to the problem of uneven distribution of God's grace around the world. But even the brightest minds of Christianity fall upon that problem. Aparently, tribal vision of salvation, which secures only me and my close one is sufficient for majority of Christians. Frankly, this system shouldn't even start without satisfactory response for that question.

Jacek Siemieniuk the answer is that God is just and His judgment is unquestionable as He knows the heart of us all, deeper and more honest than we even are with ourselves Ultimately we do not know what happens to those that do not know Jesus and never will know Him Thats the truth. We don't know. But God's judgment will bring justice to every soul To make the claim that they are going to hell for not ever hearing the gospel is pretentious and an attempt to play God

He doesn't believe the holy word of God!!! He proves that when he speaks of us being a part of culture: They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. John 17:16 KJV I am not part of any worldly culture!!! I am in the world, but I am not of the world!!! I am of God!!!
