My pick rate has been around 60 :( it’s my second week and I feel like I’m going fast but I also like to make sure and double check that I’m picking the right items.

here are some pointers I've learned when you scan the correct item, it tells you to scan the tote. if it does that, then scan it, bag it, toss it, and move on. if you scanned the wrong item, it tells you also, if you're trying to find an item and it doesn't look like it's on the shelf, there's no need to stand there for 5 minutes trying to find it. if it's not in its spot, then it probably won't be anywhere else, so it'll almost always be a waste of time to spend more than a few seconds looking for it. hope this helped

FTPR (first time pick rate) is not the first walk. It is all the walks and is calculated by how many items you are able to find the first time. So hitting item not found during your shift at any time affects your FTPR. Edited to add you want this to be 95% or better.

How would I go about getting a higher pick rate? We're told to do the first one, and it's usually general, oversize, or produce. I'm in the 80's mark with those selection. It's a little frustrating going for 100, and not making it.

It depends on how many customers are on the floor while you are picking. They do ask questions during peak times. Also, getting familiar with knowing where everything is located in the store helps.

Can you talk about Stage and Collect? What happens after the pick is done, getting ready for customer pick up? Thank you
@Zero-mb6fk
@Zero-mb6fk Жыл бұрын
late reply troll when your picks are finished, someone stages them in your opd area where the ones that prep (collect) the orders can put the totes on bases so the distillers can grab em and go staging is done by scanning the tote, where it then shows the location that the other totes for the order are, and placing and staging it with the others prepping an order is done by selecting an order to prep, and collecting the totes from their staged location once you've collected the totes, the order is marked as "Ready to Dispense", and someone distilling can take it to the customer when they arrive
@texasboii5539
@texasboii5539 Жыл бұрын
@@Zero-mb6fk so there’s actually a position at Walmart that stages the order and then they take it out when the customer arrives?
@Zero-mb6fk
@Zero-mb6fk Жыл бұрын
@texas boii it isn't a dedicated title. if they have enough people so that someone can solely focus on staging, then they'll have someone only do that until they need them somewhere else. with distilling (taking orders outside), it's usually a few people that are well-experienced in it. while having someone stage isn't always necessary because it's only for the sake of organization, distilling is a requirement, and there will always be someone doing it. to finally answer your question: no. everyone in online grocery is part of a single big team, and they just put people where they're needed.
