When I was in my young 20s, I accidentally went on a rant about how much I hated my body and my mom interrupted and said "hey, stop being mean to my kid." And I think about that all the time. I would never want anyone to talk to my sister the way I talk to myself. Thanks to all the strong mamas out there.

Christians are COMMANDED to judge. We are called to lead others away from sin and error. But, we are also commanded to not be a hypocrite while judging. So do not believe any "Christian" who says phrases like, "I don't judge others", or "We aren't called to judge", or "People are free to live their lives how they want", or "Only God can judge me"... THIS IS TUPAC THEOLOGY, NOT BIBLICAL THEOLOGY. John 7:24 - Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. 1 Corinthians 2:15 - But he that is spiritual judgeth all things... 2 Timothy 4:2 - Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

I love what you said about when you talk negatively about yourself how you think your husband might think you’re bashing his choice in wife (however you phrased it exactly) I never thought of it that way. You’ve definitely given me something to ponder and hopefully change about myself in a positive way, thank you.

That part definitely hit home for me too. My fiancé and I are both very self deprecating. We get very upset when we see others being treated bad yet don’t have that grace for ourselves. Hopefully in time with us working more on learning to love ourselves as much as we love others we can break that habit.

I have to say, I'm not religious at all (I was raised Catholic and it really pushed me away from religion and the idea of God), but I really enjoy your channel. I had a very stereotypical view of Mennonites and I think it's great that you're breaking through that barrier and showing what a "real" Mennonite is like. I think it's easy for people to say that you're weird, or lump you in with the Amish, and I'm thankful that you're showing people that this isn't the case. While I don't agree with many of the things you said and believe, I do think you have a great approach to being non-judgmental and understanding that people choose to live different lives and that's okay.

Definitely something to think about. I think people, myself included, see Mennonite women as quiet and demure because of God’s peace and grace within most of you. No matter if you are generally outgoing or are just being silly in the moment that quiet spirit always shines thru.

I grew up in a VERY baptist Christian house and they were very strict about what I was exposed to in terms of beliefs and things like that. I’m lgbt and it was very difficult for a long time. I appreciate that you take time to answer questions and that you give honest answers based on your experiences. You also seem very respectful of others who may not share your views. I am a Christian who grew up going to Catholic Church and have attended a non-denominational church with a pastor from a Baptist background most of my adult life. I am part of a homeschool group with Nazarenes, Lutherans, Apostolics, and non-believers. We had a few Muslim families in our group at different times as well. I think it is great to have a diverse group of friends and associates so that you can learn to enjoy the company of others who may not share your background or beliefs. Obviously like you said it is much easier to just stay within a group of those most like you but I have found I have grown more as a person and it has deepened my faith in God to branch out. You seem like a beautiful person inside and out and it’s great to know God is blessing your family through money made via KZbin and that you have a platform to share your positive views on family, homemaking, and God.

I just love listening to you. I’m a conservative Christian, and I just love how you emphasize the Bible as the only reference we need for deciding how to honor God. Also, that the individual rules and guidelines individuals or families or churches follow on certain issues that are not completely black and white in the Bible need to be made according to our own hearts and consciences and what the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts. I struggled with not being able to separate human rules (maybe not even bad rules, just not really biblical mandates) from God’s actual black and white commands and I found great freedom when I learned to distinguish between the two. Not that I went off the deep end and just decided “anything goes” but I did learn that non-sin issues are often a matter of conscience or just personal choice, and it is our job to please God, not man. It released me from a good deal of guilt, anxiety, and also judgmental and self-righteousness attitudes. Galatians 1:10. Love your positivity and light.

Meagan I have a lot of years under my belt and can say with assurance that agreeing to disagree does not work all the time. It's fine to chose that path until someone else's beliefs infringe on yours and your living out of them. Perhaps living in PA all your life has kept you from having to deal with this? Out of concern I would caution you to be easier on yourself. Pleasing KZbinrs is a hobby whereas pleasing God and taking care of your family is your primary goal. Thank you Megan for this. I grew up in a similar church (Swiss Apostolic now American Apostolic) but basically walked away while I was a teen. Partly because my family moved to another state and partly because of the time I grew up in. I tell you this because almost 2 years ago I felt the need to go to church. I looking back over that time, your feed popped up and as I watched you express your faith just by being you, I made a decision to return to church. Long story short, I went back to the church I grew up in and am in a much more peaceful place. I may or may not become a full baptized member at some point but I do feel more settled in my soul. I've even taken to wearing what we call a bindalee daily.

I'm still chuckling to myself about your "80s" music comment! At 43 I feel old compared to you!😉 and as a mennonite I am SO thankful to hear you explain how you feel on some of these subjects! You do very well in what Christ has called ALL Christians to be. A true disciple of Him! The greatest comandment is to "Love as I have loved you..." with out Love for one another we have nothing. God Bless you SO much!! Keep being your chipper self. And even if you have "non-chipper" days, Keep looking to Christ!💖💖

Hi Megan. I just wanted to thank you for your awesome presence! Listening to you helps give me the confidence I have been needing to move into a full-time spiritual direction practice. I am trained and certified, but have been feeling a lack of courage that I have something relevant to offer. Your courage, grace, and confidence is infectious and touches me deeply, helping me to let my own God-given spirit shine. And what a wonderful and inspiring community of care you've built here by offering these videos. Sending many blessings and good wishes your way.

Hello, Megan! I love and appreciate your honesty in this video! Don’t ever doubt your convictions. From someone who did not find the Lord until late twenties, now in my forties, trust me when I say that it’s almost impossible to drink a full alcoholic beverage and not get a buzz. Therefore, I whole heartedly stand by no alcohol. If people are honest, it all taste bad. 😉

Everything in moderation and being drunk is sinful - however coffee can give us quite a 'buzz' too! Jesus turned water into wine and didn't condemn drinking of alcohol at all. I can honestly tell you that my occsional glass of wine or a cocktail tastes very nice! But I don't like Whisky either - despite being Scottish.

@@missyc9385 really? Tell that to all the people, like me, who can't have coffe in the evening as then they can't get to sleep! A B12 shot won't to that and one glass of wine won't alter your state of mind or cognitive function. I have friends who choose to have no alcohol for various reasons but there's no reason to rule it out for everyone.

I assumed Mennonite homes would be simple and not overly concerned with decor or trends ...I was wrong . the homes I see on these youtube channels seem magazine ready lol and their always decorating and shopping hahah . Im working on letting things be functional and not caring so much on material things ...prioritizing prayer and spiritual health... stuff and focusing on material things separates us from our spiritual health

Lol on the whiskey.🤣 my mom always kept a small brow medicine bottle of whiskey in the medicine cabinet that she used mixed with honey & lemon to soothe a cough. @@MeganFoxUnlocked try making it into a 'hot toddy' - warm the Whisky slightly and add a couple of whole cloves (not powdered!) and some honey. The alcohol in the Whisky is medicinal as is the cloves and the honey. It's much more palatable that just knocking back a shot of Whisky and will do you more good (very soothing to the throat due to the honey)!

Thank you to make this planet 🌎 a better place to live in through who you are and the values you promote!! PS I am of another faith: I am Jewish and we , like you believe that the bible is as relevant today as it was almost 6000 years ago, that there is such a thing as the role or a man and the role of a wife in a marriage, that modesty is great 👍 and that we should teach our children , leading by example, that the love for G.od is a central part of their and our life!!

Megan, thank you so much for this video. The end especially. I had to have a hysterectomy at age 39 and it caused me to gain weight and make my hormones crazy. I have always been a very athletic in-shape person and all the sudden I started gaining weight for no reason. Its so frustrating trying to figure it out and try to get it straightened out to feel better. It made me laugh when you said "mennonites use whiskey as medicine". I'm from Michigan and the first line of defense medically is Vernors Ginger Ale. Its the cure all for everything. So funny how different areas of the country have their things.

Hello beautiful! I am so excited that I stumbled across your channel! I think this is awesome! Thank you for sharing your lifestyle . I've always been curious about the mennonite culture. We have mennonites around my area and they are some of the greatest people I know. They have the best market here in the fingerlakes region ( Saunders) delicious produce and salsas. They are so hard working and friendly I commend the way you all set yourselves apart from the world. One thing for sure is you can totally see the glory of God in the mennonites I know. The discipline and the dedication to abide by the bible is incredibly honorable. I am a Christian youtuber as well! My husbands father is a Pastor and has a church that we attend faithfully. I love to see other ways that people of Faith live and serve our Lord and savior. This is the first video of yours I have seen but I'm hooked and I can't wait to see more! God bless you! ♡

I was in a Beachy Mennonite church. I felt that there was too much competition among members(If one family did something, the next family would do it better & costlier). I often questioned the woman were told to dress modestly, but the men would wear shorts at home/shirtless at the beach. I guess thats the reason I not there anymore...

Thinking about the question where you mention that you spend most of your time with other Mennonites... I’ve found that I tend to spend most my time with other “religious” people, whether that be other practicing Muslims, Catholics, Orthodox, Jewish, etc because they can often understand holding onto religious standards and traditions, and how we each draw lines at certain things. But I also get along with other non religious people who are open minded and understanding. I’ve met carrying people who aren’t religious but try to understand and be courteous because they care able our friendship! Just thought I’d share

As a Christian woman, mother and wife thank you for not thinking us with piercings and tattoos are bad. My hair does get colored purple from time to time. I had to cut my hair cause my long hair was making me have headaches. Though I do miss it cause I could put up in a messy bun or have my husband braid it. I got nice compliments from mennonite and amish women plus the little girls. They never said anything to me about my piercings or tattoos they treated me the way I want to be treated.
