Is there a difference in the effective results between old and new models of professional machines?!

Hi, so I had my session number 2 day. In my first session she removed the dark hair on my chin and it had made a big difference and the result was amazing, Skin healed very well. There were some fine long hair still there. Today I went to my second session and the electrologist said “your results are amazing etc and then there were some dark hairs but they hadn’t come out of the skin yet and that I should’ve waited a bit longer to come back” which I agreed with. She started to scratch the skin so she could get the hair and she was like it’s difficult. I told her it’s completely fine that she doesn’t do those hair as she can do the other ones which were fine hair. She did those hair that didn’t come out of the skin anyway :(( after my session I looked at my skin that those areas she scratched were red compared to other areas. I’m scared right now that the scarring might not go. I didn’t realise at the time that it would leave red spot. I took pictures on my phone before and after the session and I don’t even know what she did bc the hair is still there, I don’t see any difference between before and after. I’m not too sure how she managed to do 30minutes session, but a lot of the hair still remaining. I completely understand it’s not possible to remove all hair in 30minutes section that’s expected but this session seemed to be useless. I was under the impression that most of the fine hair on my chin will be gone today since she had such a good job on the first session. Has anyone done this to you where they scratched your skin??!! I’m kind furious right now and little hopeless. Maybe it’s not possible to see those hair under the light ? I’m not too sure what the problem is tbh. Is it because they are lot lighter in colour that she is not able to see under the lamp? I don’t even know anymore. I don’t think I’ll ever go back again especially when she scratched my skin I swear they aren’t supposed to do that. I don’t know what to do now. I really don’t like that fine hair on my chin. I can see it with my eyes in the mirror and leaves a shadow. Any advice?

another red flag was in the first session she was like I should do laser hair removal for my chin hair since it will be quicker. I told her I have heard stories that laser can make it worse. She was like that’s one in rare cases. In my mind I was thinking to myself “no way I am going to even take the risk as already I feel enough distress about the hair” Only reason I went back even after hearing that because of how well she did it and the minimal redness, you could barely see it. Thank you for your videos btw they mean so much to me. I appreciate your help

@@dramaprama9187 hi, well maybe I did overreact a little but I’m so glad I don’t have any scarring, the redness went away after few weeks. I followed the advice of not touching the area for 2 days. I didn’t touch it once during the 2 days .My skin is same like before. I was worried for no reason. But my hair is back though, I think I see little difference. It would have nice ofcourse if it didn’t come back. It will take atleast 2 years of session for it to go :((( I am unsure whether I will go back to her. I have been looking at other places, she seems to be the cheapest atm. I think my advice for anyone reading this is what until your hair from first session has come back and she also told I should exfoliate the day before which I think is good advice.

@@dramaprama9187 how long have you had electrolysis for ? Do you have any hormonal conditions? I did a blood test, they said my hormones are normal but I have high prolactin levels and have low iron which I’m taking supplements for. They referred me for an ultrasound appointment to check pcos even if I have regular period, they said I could still have anovulation

I've been wanting to try electrolysis but I'm not sure where to go. I was keen on trying your salon based on your vids, but noted that you stated in a previous vid that for privacy you didn't want to share the place. They would've gotten new clients because you provide useful info. I look fwd to your reviews of other places.

Have you tried silicone gel? For the scarring? I saw online it’s really good for scarring, im thinking of getting this done soon, but I’m so embarrassed to have scarring and noticeably red skin and I feel makeup would look horrible over it if it goes wrong, so I’m trying to find a really good electrolysist, but I feel like salons may have undertrained workers? 😢😢😢😢 I wanna get it done but what’s stopping me is going in public like it, might have to book holiday after, maybe save a lot of money and finally quit this job and get a good result so it’s less noticeable then find my new job which is due anyway, anyone have any advice for this??

That’s not true to say each hair needs multiple treatments since when elektrolysis is done right the hair won’t ever grow back in the treated hairfollikel new hair might appear but in a different place

Hi Melis I wanted to ask you about few things. I don't have pcos but I do have alot of hair on my face..My aesthetician is telling me to get around 6-7 sessions of laser hair removal and after that I'd get elecrolysis for the remaining hair to get rid of the hair 100%. I would love to get your advice and opinion about that please!! I would really appreciate your answer. Thank you💕💕

Or do you think doing that won't get rid of the hair 100%? Should I just go for elecrolysis right away? Or in your opinion what she recommended is a good idea?

It could take years depending on how much you need to get rid off. Lots of hairs? Min 1-2 years probs. Only a few, probably a few months and done. Good vid btw 👍

Hi Melis, is it okay to put lidocaine on skin before a session? The electrologist said they would remove it during the session as they go.

In terms of scarring do you think for the upper lip hair laser hair removal (with seprano ice) is better than having electrolysis if you’re scared about scaring and you personally know wax has worked for you Etc

I had my first session today, my skin has dealt with it well, not too much redness. How do I tell the difference between feeling the hair being on the hair pulled out and the needling going in. From your videos I know you are not meant to feel the hair being plucked out but I think I did feel on few hairs being plucked. I didn’t realise I had so much hair, there’s still some left. I went to Elite cosmetology in Ealing. They made feel comfortable. How long did it take for you for the pcos ultrasound referral, It’s been around 2 weeks now
@itsmelisates
@itsmelisates 3 жыл бұрын
You don’t really feel the needle going in too much. You shouldn’t feel the hair come out but if you do it feels like the hair is being plucked out. You may feel them giving a little tug on the hair to check if it has been destroyed before sliding it out. I can’t remember how long it took for the referral for the ultrasound sorry.

Here the question I wanted to ask: were you on treatement for your hormones during electrolysis?
@itsmelisates
@itsmelisates 3 жыл бұрын
When I was first diagnosed the doctor said i can take the pill to help with hormones. I took it for a year while getting electrolysis but then stopped. The remaining time I didn’t take anything while having electrolysis.

If a 15 yo gets electrolysis that hair will be gone forever, just because new hair comes to come in didn’t make electrolysis unsuccessful. She now just has less total hair to remove.
@itsmelisates

If they are able to spend the time and money to do it at 15 and then possibly do it again once the hormones are settled they are welcome to take that option.

I am losing hope with electrolysis, i don’t see any difference after x4 sections each 30minutes, I go every month as that’s when the hair grows back for me. I feel like it is not working, my hair is growing even more longer. It’s just so distressing. I really did have high expectations…. I feel like it is a waste of my money. The electrologist is saying that I should think about laser as my hair is dark and coarse. I am also getting long fine hair. I thought I would see some difference. You said laser on chin hair can cause hair growth for some people. I do not have it in me to take that risk. I am not sure if it’s because electrologist is not doing right or what. I have only been to one person. I think it’s getting worse for me, I know this because before I didn’t have fine hair that were long .sorry I literally don’t have anywhere else to talk about this.. do you have any advice? Do you think I should try 5 minutes session at different salon to see if anything changes? I almost want to give up on electrolysis and just use scissors to trim it. After sessions, I never pluck or shave. I avoid touching the air at all. I do occasionally trim it with scissors but I never pull the hair

Hi, I would need a lot more information e.g medical background etc to have an idea about what’s going on. But from what you’ve said so far I do have a video that may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpnMfHZ6r7Z4o9k Four sessions is not a lot to notice a difference in most cases. In this video I give 3 examples of when you can possibly notice a difference. I personally don’t recommend laser for facial hair. It is worrying to hear that electrolysis has made the hair worse as this is impossible. It might be worth trying someone else out but it does take time to notice a change. I hope this helps x

@@itsmelisates hi, thank you for getting back to me so quickly, you have no idea how much your videos mean to me. I really appreciate everything that you do. Medical background- I have done a blood test, they found that I had low iron which I have been give supplements for. They also found high prolactin levels in blood, informed them that I wanted to know the cause of my hair growth. They did refer to an ultrasound appointment but unfortunately I mixed up the dates and I didn’t put a reminder on my phone as I thought they will send a reminder but they didn’t. That was a mistake on part. As soon as I get the time I’ll make sure to get another appointment. They suspect it’s pcos- they also think it might be because of an ovulation. My periods are regular
