in organics a dryback would be about 200mbar on a tensiometer. in a 3x3 bed in water about every other day 2 gals. usually get a swing of 190(dry end of moist)-40-60(very moist). this allows water to reach the bottom of the bed, in the last i’ve had trouble keeping the whole bed moist through flower. often times i would have dry pockets checking between rounds, despite using BAS Qujilla. don’t let your soil dry back. think of it as letting it get barley moist to very moist. i’d say the last 2 weeks of flower would be the exception. i let my plants get to 250ish mbar before watering during that time. i’m sure there’s little difference, i’ve never tried. this is just my method, hope this helped someone

I use both recharge and stash blend. But I use silicium so when I use that I don’t add stash blend on top bc of the silica in it and it lowers my ph. When using silicium I use recharge along side of it. Both great products, easy to use. Just have certain uses for each.

Purple stems is something i allways get in the Winter time if night temps go low like 18 degree Celsius.... Other cause can be that the roots outgrow the pot! Also in that Situation i allways get purple stems, if both those points are not given i am sure it is genetic in my case. Maybe that helps someone... No matter how much you feed if you rootbound like crazy nutrition will not work as usual! Growers love 💚

Dry back are applied in wicking beds where constant moisture is maintained , they are to reduce the water activity in plant , which will reduce drying time and prevent mold , also stresses it to produce more terps and flavonoids theoretically speaking
@johnkehoe836813 күн бұрын
use a house scale for weight if your in pots easy to do without moisture meters for home growers and you most certainly you can do it in organics
@THEBULK102312 күн бұрын
my stems got really purple and rubbery type , i could bend them in half without snapping them. the environment they were grown in was perfect what i think it could have been for me was no nutrients because right when I added nutrients nitrogen everything came back to normal after a week or two.

Love your show! Questions for you: -Do you use enzymes? Specifically Hygrozyme and SLF 100 and could you speak on their functions? -Do you use or have experience with using PGR's? Specifically Triacontanol as it is in a different class imo. Can you speak on its function and application? -What products, if any, do you use to deal with salt build up? -How do you deal with toxicities due to salt buildup besides flushing or reducing nutrients? Soil conditioners like SLF?

I have a question: What happens if you leave the organic plant to dry? No chop, no hang, just darkness, 60° 60% RH. I know it would dry slower because now the pot has to dry also, but isn't a slower dry what we want?

When growing in a high tunnel or green house a lot of farmers graft there tomatoes for a variety of benefits. Do you think there would be benefits to grafting the plant we all know and love?

@TN_Underground51c12 күн бұрын
The reason for the dry back is to grow the roots make them reach deeper for bigger roots bigger fruits. I wouldn’t recommend it during flower you should have your roots where you want them by flower time.
@philcapenmsgamingsports5 күн бұрын
I get purple stems alot and it stunts the growth , i believe it's due to my high ph water , I've since added fish fertilizer to bring it down not enough to truly feed jusr enough to bring ph down to 6.5 or so . Then I'll get healthy green growth and will grow again, when purple it doesn't grow much very stunted.

@K.I.S.S_420grow12 күн бұрын
@@Dino_Hunter_420 I did it already an it seems fine but I’m sure your right. It’ll clog up after a while ima start just mixing up a few gallons and watering them that way. Then the blumats should kick back on when they start too dry back

Nothing wrong with purple stems ive had 1000s of plants outside in the past with purple stems and they turned out great We had agronomists check soil and nothing wrong with it plants got huge and top buds there could be deficiency that caused it but most times it's genetic so young new growers dont panic and dump heaps of salts on them just give a little and see if there is a change

Flushing? People really dont understand: stop feeding last couple of weeks in flower. Organically, you dont have to do anything. Keep watering and let the plant take up what it wants. Just cause there's a plate of food next to you doesnt mean you have to eat it! A lot of these issues are common sense imo💚
