Hi Glory! the best way to memorize and know more scripture is to READ the Word more :) it has helped me tremendously. may we continue to hide His Word in our heart so that we may not sin against Him, sister! (Psalm 119:11) also - do not be shy to toot your own horn, lol! The Lord has blessed you with your creativity and we LOVE that you share that with us in your videos! 🥰

It’s so great to see how positive and grateful you are. It shows you’re not “happy because life is perfect” and you “know the Bible word for word” but it’s your perspective and thankfulness. I had been feeling shame about not feeling like I hear from God a lot like other people seem to. In my dating annd career purpose i don’t feel like God is giving me any strong signs but people keep making it seem like I should be seeing signs or hearing stuff but I’m just trying as I go. I’m gonna try to really appreciate where I am more too

Congrats on 50k! I actually found this channel not too long ago. I found Slice n Rice years ago, probably around the time you got married. I just realized you and Matt have your own pages and immediately subscribed to both! As for babies....I had 4, the first two were 2 weeks short of two years, then a 3 year gap between 2 and 3 and number 4 came 4 days after my 3rd turned 1. I always had 2 in diapers. My husband and I always wanted 6 but I had some complications after number 4 so we stopped. We always talked about having one more but I was always scared. When my youngest was 11, we started talking again. We decided to have one more. Talk about starting all over again. And he was born when I was 41. It was rough. Anyway, take your time, but don't wait too long 🥰.

37:50 the best advice to have kids be bilingual at home is if you don’t speak English to them at all. The same way your parents shouldn’t speak to them in English, you shouldn’t either. Especially since they’re going to learn English regardless when they step out or when they go to school, or talk to people not inside the house. There needs to be a strong influence of that and it starts at home, with you. Of course, TV and music clubs or classes are helpful to learn, distinct words and ways people speak Korean, but again the strongest influence has to come from home because it’s something that they have to live with. it’s going to be weird if you start out of nowhere but trust me it’s only going to be a little bit difficult for you because you want them to do something that they would understand in English. You have to start with speaking, doubled, first Korean, say exactly what you want to say, for example, give me the toy. First say the sentence in Korean, then point the item and say, toy, or car or whatever it is at you’re saying. Say the full sentence again, and then say in English. Do that for about a week or until you start feeling comfortable to just not repeating it in English, because they now know the tones, they now know the accents, they now can associate certain words to what you’re speaking of. It will become to them, because mommy is speaking a language. And without them, knowing they will be learning the language. But you cannot break! that is the main key. When you greet your parents, your loud in Korean and make sure they do the same thing with you. It’s as if you’re living in Korea, they have to speak the language no matter what. When I used to babysit, I would teach the kids I was with Spanish. I was only with them maybe two days a week. But when I was there, they learned Spanish! So imagine if you talk to them all day it will definitely be a lot easier, then for them to learn when they’re in elementary school middle school or high school.
@glorybrooks5 ай бұрын
I can imagine this working really well! I don’t speak perfect Korean but at least want to try saying the sentence in Korean and English and making sure my parents ONLY speak to them in Korean. It’ll be hard since the hubby speaks no Korean at all but maybe it’ll help all three of them learn at the same pace and time 🤪
@MoreLillyMoreLime5 ай бұрын
@@glorybrooks Matt not speaking it is actually a good thing because it makes their brains develop more. Switching languages instantly, is such a benefit to learning and handling multitasking. Especially in boys. And when the little miss comes along, she’s will easily catch up with the boys and the language’s. It’s the cutest after a while when you see all the work flourish. And don’t worry about not knowing it perfectly. Just speak it confidently, after being with Gramps, they kiddos will start telling you what to say. And when I tell you the overwhelming feeling of pride of hard work will be there( in a good way). Plus Matt can also learn that way. The way kids learn is the best. But he ( for learning purposes, should not speak Korean TO them. But can learn together. Even more or a bonding moment. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My favorite verse is Matthew 9:12&13. It’s a good one when you are feeling like you’re not doing enough or if you’re struggling. “On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
