I live in Florida. You can swim with them and there are places that let you interact at certain times. :) They are amazing. I live by one of the springs they come to in the winter

I miss my grandparents house in the Keys. We had a family come visit us every year. They loved when we would be swimming in the canal. My grandfather would give them a garden hose to suck on for some fresh water.

I'm glad there was a question about head carriage in the shows. Many years ago, their heads were so low they were called "peanut rollers" and it looked incredibly uncomfortable. I half expected the rider to just slide down the horse's neck. I heard some people say they looked like they were 20 miles from the nearest water and why was that called a pleasure class? I'm glad to hear that there are rules in place to manage it. For myself, I like a higher head carriage, but that's just me.

Today I discovered a western riding Rail class. They are so much more forward going than the pleasure horses. Its great to watch actually.

I don't think it looks natural for a horse to move in that manner and am not sure why it's done at all. Maybe Katie would explain the concept.

I from the UK and I think you'd love it over here. Every year in July we have one of the biggest agricultural shows (The Royal Welsh Agriculture Show) in Europe I believe. It's on from Monday - Thursday with some of the best animals in the country (even from Europe) showing. That's a perfect excuse to come over xx 😊

Go swim with them in Crystal River, FL. We've done that before. I love manatees. They are so sweet. You can also kayak with them. What about chickens? I watched part 3 before I watched this video. Hi! Firstly, have you watched The Witcher? I love it, secondly, if you come to the U.K. there are so many major horse shows/events to see! Horse Of The Year Show is amazing, it’s over 5 days and runs from 7am to around 11pm each day so you generally pick and choose what you want to see, the down side is that it’s in October so the weather is rubbish! The event is all indoors though, also, if you do come to the U.K. please don’t do what other people do and just focus on London, there are so many truly stunning places here, my personal favourites are The Lake District, Ireland and Scotland. If you do decide to come see us, you’ll all be very welcome!😊

Get a pair of camels! Alpacas spit, I suspect llamas do as well, so NO. More pigs would be fun - The back pastures slope down to the back, so they are well set for a wallow. Jonathan could build a pool like structure to hold the mud, along with a nice oversized roof for shade. Sheep are boring and need shearing, so too much maintenance. Zebras are mean. Also, you and Jonathan might enjoy Longmire!

When you say that stallion bred a horse that “could have won the congress a million times last year” is “the congress a show that happens a number of times a year so you could have 5 horses that won the congress in 2024. Or is it a show that happens once a year where there’s one overall congress winner who is in effect the best of the best of all breeds against each other OR is there one congress winner for each showing group eg English under saddle, western pleasure? Apologies I’m from the U.K. so am trying to get my head around how there can be SO many horses that are “congress champions”. Thanks 😁 x

I’d like to learn more about farm operations. Who does what? It would be cool to learn more about the employees, too. What’s the day-to-day? The stuff you might think is boring because you do it on the daily would probably really interest a lot of people. I’m also interested in ownership. Is it jointly owned by Katie, mom & dad? Is the mini farm a part of Running Springs? Does RS own Katie’s house? I understand if you don’t want to tell us the details. And what does Jonathan do as his career? I know it has to do with landscaping & large equipment he stores at the house, I think. But landscaping is so broad. Does he even want to work at RS full time?

I agree about swimming with manatees in Crystal River. There are lots of reputable businesses that run guided tours, with you in a wetsuit and snorkel, and they will get you right on the manatees. I have done it multiple times before. It is true that you can’t touch them BUT they can touch you and you do not have an obligation to move if they choose to touch you. Just sayin!

Get some alpacas, I have grown up with alpacas. Sheared once a year, gets vaccinations,feet and teeth done at the same time. I find them so low maintenance and they are little puppies when they bond with you. Plus you can give them cool haircuts, one of mine has a mullet
