@@Gary-fq8cx Firstly, your assumption that scripture speaks about unicorns is hilarious. You're talking about things you don't know anything about. There's only two instances within scripture where an animal was documented as speaking in a literal sense...as in using a human language. Once in eden and another time when a man was beating his animal and God caused it to speak. I wonder what's more ridiculous, the bible or what you believe? Let's hear what you believe since you feel like you are so above this other person that you can laugh at them. Please, enlighten me. As is obesity, alcoholism, and addiction to legal opioids (prescribed by ‘doctors’). The western world is in very poor health, no doubt. 4. Child learning difficulties and allergies have rocketed in the last 20 years, no one is asking why. (And no it isn’t ‘new data’ collection.) 5. I grew up never knowing for certain whose interpretation of scripture was accurate. Seems seminary graduates approach scripture intellectually as though scripture is a document that can mean different things based on social or cultural trends or ideologies. Then, I became agnostic for years. Three years ago I decided to proclaim that I believe the Bible is the true and accurate Word of God. My life has changed for the better, finally, in my late 60's. For any endeavour, not just Christianity. Let alone all the Churchianity we go through. I must have read when Jesus said those standing in front of him would be alive when he returned a hundred or more times. and just kept on reading without pondering. The underlying teachings are timeless and can apply to us being human; with all the attributes along with the many faults and imperfections that we exude and display! The different dialects of English were revealed to me in the 1970’s when I worked in a construction company. There were two Englishmen from Yorkshire (northeastern England) and two Englishmen from Cornwall (Southwestern England) What I found amusing was that whilst these men were all from England, those from Yorkshire couldn’t understand those from Cornwall (and vice versa) and they relied on the rest of us to ‘translate’ for them, as their dialects were so different that direct conversation was impossible! And they were speaking their own versions of modern English!! Further to that, if either the two Yorkshiremen, or the two Cornishmen were talking between themselves, NONE of us could understand them! I've been fascinated with languages all my life, so this was very intriguing to me.

One interesting thing I realized is that the action taken at the Tower of Babel is ongoing. Even now we can see it play out in our lives. People confuse the languages. They will either dramatically change definitions of existing words, or, in the case of the urban dictionary, invent new words or phrases. People who adopt the new word uses have a tendency to break off from other people and form their own tribes. A command was given to fill the Earth and the mechanism to force that command was the confusion of language.

Y'all have fallen so painfully short of the reasons why God scattered the people at Bab'El - and other details of what God Most High did that day. AND - while you state that when there's a conflict between what the world says (science) and what the Bible says - THE BIBLE/SCRIPTURES always win the 'argument' --- WHAT ABOUT BIBLICAL COSMOLOGY????? WHY DOES AIG CONTINUE TO PICK WHAT SCIENCE TEACHES AND NOT WHAT THE SCRIPTURES TEACH???? The Bible DOES NOT TEACH a heliocentric creation view. There's NO SUCH THING as a solar system. Nor "outer space" ---- The sun, moon and stars were created on the fourth day - The sun was not created first. Yet AIG will not acknowledge their error in Biblical truth. Yes, the tower of babel is where men thru their intelligence and works tried to reach heaven without God's help same as today they try to get to heaven thru works instead of accepting God's way thru Jesus Christ so some religions are the tower of babel all over again.

Yes, I think so. When we hear the World Economic Forum’s (rather terrifying) vision for the “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” in which we are all somehow connected through technology and can read each others thoughts, and Yuval Harari saying we’ll be gods…Well, it looks very similar to the mindset of those who were constructing that tower. God stopped the building then, because the time was not right, and His Son still needed to be sent. Right now, the gospel has just about reached every tribe, language and nation. I don’t know God’s timing, but I’m watching and praying for wisdom, and standing on His Word, rather than the words of Men.

One of the most significant phrases in the Bible that is always overlooked is the commentary God makes about Mankind’s ability to do anything he plans to do as along as they speak one language. The Confusion of the Tongues only slowed Mankind down. As time moved on Linga Francas developed and large areas of the world were able to speak common languages, until the 20th Century AD when English has now reunited the entire world system into one language once again and enhanced through the internet and computers, which actually accelerated the world adoption of English. This One World Language sets the world system for a One World government, economic digital currency and system, religious system, etc. I can’t think of any prophecies concerning a one world language in the Last Days, but English adoption is certainly making all the other prophecies come to pass with incredible speed and precision. Jesus said when you see the fig tree put forth it’s leaves, you know that summer is coming. So it is with the Second Coming of Christ. We are seeing the world stage getting in position day by day to put the pieces of infrastructure into place to fulfill biblical prophecy.

At one time, French, not English, was the international language. The world adopted English for two basic reasons: the British Empire and later the power of the United States. Their cultural dominance - one gone, and the other fading - ensured the adoption of English. But if you went back just say 500 years, the English of that time would be a virtual foreign language. You'd really struggle to understand it, or make other sunderstand you. I'd bet you're American. The arrogance would be absolutely typical. Bible "prophecies" are bullshit, and bellievers have proclaimed the "end times" repeatedly throughout the last two thousand years. It was particularly common during the first and second world wars. As for a global religion, you know that Muslims will outnumber Christians in a decade or two, right? Islam is growing, Christianity is shrinking. It is already largely dead in Europe. In my own Great Britain, which did so much to spread and impose Christianity it is now a minority, the churches are empty and abandoned, whilst atheism is growing fast and outnumbers all faiths except Christianity, which is shrinking. And of the 48% who call themselves "Christian" on the census most of them are nominal. It was traditional for those with no faith to call themselces Church of England for official purposes here. No longer true. Only a quarter of those "Christians" ever pray, or go to a church. Ever.

@@richardgregory3684 Hi Richard! Thanks for writing about the comments. You are absolutely correct to say Christians have been predicting the future events for a long time, yes, even 2,000 years. The Bible is a book like no other in that it talks about the future events. From Genesis onwards prophecies were made and fulfilled. Christ’s first coming was given in great detail from being born in Bethlehem to dying on a cross. A KZbin comment doesn’t provide enough space to present this completely. Concerning His second coming, this too has plenty of prophecies. There are two ideas to keep in mind when thinking about this however. First, prophecy in the Bible is like a jigsaw puzzle. There are a thousand pieces, all of which are confusing to look at but as one sorts out various sections, the picture becomes clearer until the last piece finally makes sense and is very obvious. The other idea is, the Apostles saw things and knew things that were given to them by God but the Apostles lived in the First Century AD and what they were describing were events in the distant future. They were using First Century vocabulary and logic to describe 19th, 20th and 21st Century events. Their descriptions were accurate as far as they could write though they did not have the vocabulary to develop it further. As these events come into focus, then their descriptions fit perfectly into place like a puzzle piece. This all said, let me give you a couple of examples that I pray will be clear to you. Here is Second Peter 3:1-7 Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. 2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles. 3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. Peter tells about scoffers in the Last Days saying it has been a long time since Jesus promised His coming. Your comment to this discussion is exactly what Peter predicted. Peter continues by predicting the Rise of Evolution Theory where “they deliberately forgot” about The Creation by God in Seven Days and deny Noah’s Ark and Flood. I must assume here that you believe in Evolution and believe Noah’s Flood are myths. However, Peter predicts clearly that the Last Days will be signaled by Evolution becoming the default thinking. Darwin’s “On the Origin of Species” was published in 1859. Peter would never have thought that human thought would decay to the point where people seriously consider we came from monkeys. Also, allow me to give you one more example, from Revelation 13: 15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. 18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[e] That number is 666. This description is very obvious to anyone who knows the news and the development of the digital economy. Fiat money has been the world standard and the paper money to support it has become a huge burden for governments and banks and people in general. Very few people actually use paper money these days. Credit cards and ATM cards have become the norm. In the 1990’s the MAC ATM card came out with 18 digits, six zeros in the middle, then six digits on the left and another six on the right. Yes, three groups of six digits. Google it! I found it on line. It’s blue with rainbow stripes. This is just a sample of what I am talking about. The technology is in place where every single person on the planet will have a digital account in order to buy and sell. The Mark of the Beast more than likely is a micro chip implanted into your right hand or even forehead where it is easy to be scanned. There is more to say obviously. Please don’t think that Bible is irrational and irrelevant to what is going today. The pieces of the puzzle are being assembled step by step. It does take careful study like a puzzle requires but it becomes obvious, piece by piece as events come in to view. I pray that you will seriously consider the Truth of the Bible and turn your attention to Jesus before His Return. John 3:16 says 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. Some day soon, we will meet in the here after and you will remember this comment from KZbin and your opportunity to believe the Truth. I pray you chose wisely, when we meet!

@@musictheoryforeveryone7938 _You are absolutely correct to say Christians have been predicting the future events for a long time, yes, even 2,000 years_ Nope, didn;t say that, I said that Christians have been proclaiming that the predicted events _have arrived_ - pretty much every year for th elast two thousand, Christians have been saying that the prophecies are _fulfilled_ and that the end times _have arrived_ and that Jesus will be back very soon. Pretyt much every time there was a war, or epidemic, or earthquake. It was very very common around World War One, for example, a world war followed by a global flu pandemic. Of course, nothing happened. _Christ’s first coming was given in great detail from being born in Bethlehem to dying on a cross._ But you see, we have only the bible's word for that. It's easy for a prediction made in a bible story to be fulfilled in another bible story. LOL. Moreover, isn;t it interesting that the bible had to invent the Roman census in order to move Mary and Joseph from Nazareth to Bethlehem..but Herod's killing of the first born to move them from Bethlehem to Nazareth? The problem is, there was no Roman census of the type the bible claims. The closest is the Census of Quirinius which did not take place until 6AD - and the idea that a census would require everyone to travel to their birthplace is absurd. A census is about the current population - you would want to know ehere they live NOW and simpyl ask where they were born. Moreover, the Roman Empire never taxed it's provinces directly as the bible claims. Morever, Herod had been long dead by the time of that census. Crucifixion was also a common method of execution in the region, and predates the Romans by many centuries. And think how easy it owuld be for someone to know the bible prophecies and thengo about claiming to fulfill them.

It's called suppressing the truth in unrighteousness. Charles Lyle popularized doing so, because he hated Moses. And the hack Lyle started being treated like an authority by apostate theologians. Scientists dismissed Lyle and Darwin as hacks for years. Then, apostate theologians used their political ties to bully the halls of science into dictating the narrative, and completely destroying any scientist who wouldn't bow. Science gave in. So now, scientists don't seek truth. They seek whatever narrative gets them paid, and are paid to dismiss what contradicts the narrative. Those same to whom deepest darkness is reserved forever not only compromised science, but every level of society. That includes control of Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Brittanica.

Take a good look at the map and geography and think about people spread and the logical language shift that occurs when 3 sons take off from home in different directions. The differences are not just language they are language families and within these cultural differentiation and distinction that we can trace today, Indo-europeans have had different cultural sociological and technical emphases then Hamitic and Asian families, each with their own valuable distinction -as they fell (the gradual decline in gene structure, spirituality, intelligence, culture actual show a devolution not an evolution as mankind continually grasped for remains of something earlier.)

Yeah, the tower existed, like they say in the vid. It's the Etemenanki, which, by the way, wasn't so large as far as ziggurats go. Because yes, it was a ziggurat, a temple dedicated to a particular god or pantheon, Marduk in this case. It was there during the Hebraic exile in Babylon. It's no mystery. That much is true. However, the bearded old man in the skies - at about 200 meters high - being offended by nosy human neighbours spoiling the view from his cloud and then casting magic spells of some sort, that's the batsht crazy part, obviously. It isn't even consequent with itself: How come the Earth got populated so fast between Noah and Nimrod anyway? Here, one takes a kernel of thruth - the fact that humans scattered over thousands of years, but then he is wrapping up that true core with a naive yet zealous extrapolation requiring of course a lot of fairy dust, trampling over the fact that many other cultures had older, different creation myths of their own. How come these crazy things were only possible in the distant, hazy past anyway? Why there isn't some giant wise old men entities fixing things left and right with their magic powers anymore? The bible is no history book - it can be used as a historical source here and there, when in conjonction with other sources, but it is first and foremost a philosophical ouvrage, using contemporary metaphors and allegories to convey its meaning. In the above exemple, it is an allegory which aim is to prevent the sin of pride, to which the karmic response was confusion and general failure.

Genesis 11:5-9 King James Version 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

It is true that banu, as a perfect (I don't know Hebrew, I trust it is a perfect from the marking) might lend itself to pluperfect translation, but the LXX has ᾠκοδόμησαν and the whole verse translates as: *And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the sons of men built.*

Thank you, I greatly enjoyed this video. I have been fascinated by archeology and ancient history, particularly the history of the Mesopotamian region and those first cultures which seemingly (according to the conventional history narrative) sprang up simultaneously across the globe, since my childhood. As a believer, I know this is merely an effect of the confounding of the language causing the dispersal, forcing them to spread out, only to attempt to recreate their own civilizations modeled after what was left behind wherever they settled. At about 12:00 in the video there’s mention of the ark which lead to settling in the plains to build the city and tower, and I have to say this: The conventional belief is that the remains of the ark of Noah are on a mountain named Ararat in far eastern Turkey. Consider these points: •The ark came to rest on the *mountains* of Ararat, not ‘the *mountain* of Ararat’ (Genesis 8:4) •They traveled from the east to settle in the plains of Shinar (Genesis 11:2) •If Shinar is close to present day Baghdad, the mountainous region to the east of there would be in Iran, not in eastern Turkey, which lies to the northwest of Baghdad. I have seen an image of an ancient map of the Mesopotamian area, and off to the east, in the mountains of Iran, there is a region named “Ararat” What lies on the mountain in Turkey could likely be what was a ship from before the flood. There are pre-flood artifacts which pop up all over the world, most are embedded in coal. They all display an application of advanced knowledge of metallurgy compared to modern standards. Analyses of the iron spikes found at that shipwreck show a refining purity of iron which is near impossible with modern technology and processes. I implore you to do a little bit of digging into research on your own to find out for yourself. It is all part of a greater scheme of man to thumb his nose at God by debasing His word as a means to draw people away from God. Man did not evolve from apes. The Tower of Babel is an actual structure and not some myth or fable. Noah’s ark is not in Turkey, just as the 40 year exodus was not in the Sinai peninsula. Those lies are designed to keep people from looking in the right places so they won’t be able to find proof. If one is able to prove the stories are real, it becomes simple deduction that God is real. I, for one, know without a doubt that the Bible is not only the Word of God, but it is also the absolute truth; that God is in fact real; and that Jesus Christ was God’s atonement sacrifice for my sins through His fulfillment of the Law.

(22:14) Wish Bodie and Rob would have discussed more as to why that particular site is believed to be the tower of babel from Genesis 11. How is Nimrod "Bel" or "Marduk" and how do you get "Bel" or "Marduk" from "Etemenanki" and how did Alexander the great destroy it if God destroyed it? How certain are you that Etemenanki ruins are the tower of babel ruins? Could it be another tower built upon the same site? How certain are you that it is the same site? could it be another site that fits the description? I understand the other aspects of the tower''s destruction. The building of the tower of Babel was about 100 years after the Great Deluge (Noah's flood). Its collapsed and scattered location (it was never completed) is currently submerged under a dam (which was once a plain) in southern Turkey about 400 kilometres SE of Mt. Ararat. It was constructed around the middle of a 190-year ice age (the earth cooled after the flood) when the oceans had receded up to 130-metres below current sea level. This allowed for mass migration of tribes of different languages to follow sea shores and as the earth warmed and the ice melted, the oceans rose covering the once exposed land plains. The sea shores would have provided trapped marine life as a food source and the ice would have provided fresh water until tribes eventually ventured inland or seabound in boats. Disclaimer: This is what I believe from my own research and seeking the LORD for answers. (Matthew 11:25-27) Glory to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen

The location of the tower of Babel is actually Mount Kailash in Tibet. It was a massive pyramid-like structure. The funny thing here is that the flag of Tibet has a pyramid ascending into the heavens touching the sun. Long story short, the books of Jasher and Jubilees give the exact location of where it was built. It's quite fascinating if you ask me. Discoveries are being made and the truth is being revealed. All praise and glory be to The Most High God.

In Genesis, before Babel, Noah splits the earth up amongst his kids. Noah seems to have stayed put in the mountains, but everyone else followed the two rivers south until they hit Babylon, but along the way were no doubt scouting for tin, lead, copper, etc. By the time of the split at Babel, I believe they had already scouted, located and identified much of the regions near Babel. I do not believe they stumbled upon these areas AFTER the split at Babel, but rather were forced by language barriers to actually start living in the areas given to their family groups by Noah years before.

The Book of Jubilees helps answer alot of questions about the Tower of Babel like the location and the size it was and materials it was of. First it was in the valley of Shinar east of the Tigris in between of what would be the lands of Babylon and Asshur. And the Tower was constructed with Wood Fire Bricks which are much strongest then Sun Dried Bricks and they were building it for forty years before Yahuah stopped the construction. And according to the narrative Yahuah eventually sent out a great storm to destroy that structure completely down to making sure not one brick remained standing.

Why would they build a city and tower to defy God intentionally concerning His command to fill the earth? There is one answer that makes sense to me. They were direct descendants of those who literally saw the entire earth destroyed by a flood. Their defiance was specific to that fact. If they dispersed around the earth, they were afraid reasoning that they would be vulnerable to another flood, but if they stayed together, they could defy God by building a tower high enough that not even God could drown them with a great flood again. The tower was specifically to defy God's ability to drown them!

Language, regardless of where on the earth, have distinctions showing change. That's why when we speak with someone in the same language, you can tell by the dialect of where the person is from. Its easily apparent in these United States. The language spoken is English. However, you can tell a person who is from Boise, from someone from say Boston. Not only by region, or state, rather you can tell a person is from Butte Montana or Dillon Montana, they are only 60 minutes apart. Yet it is distinctive enough to tell it. Language is amazing.

The Tower of Babel was an attempt to worship the angels (the hosts of heaven) after the Gen 6 incursion. The tower was meant to open a portal to the heavens. Notice how the family of Ham yields Nimrod who "He became a mighty one". This language hints that Nimrod may have been a nephilim. A hybrid human/angel abomination commonly called "giants". He was certainly the first attempt at a world dictator and a global government. The fact that cultures all over the world were involved in building copies of the Tower of Babel, worshiping the hosts of heaven (star people, serpents, dragons, etc), and they were all aligned astronomically is very convincing evidence that the story of the Bible is in fact human history. Not a myth. This may be why the Lord Himself came down to challenge Nimrod. "He was a mighty hunter BEFORE the Lord." - Gen 10:9 - This verse leads me to believe Nimrod was actually challenging God's authority of the earth.

On a map from 1540, a KZbinr shows that Cairo was called Babylon, and that would mean the Great Pyramid is the Tower of Babel. That makes more sense than a little zigurat in Ur being extolled as a tower to heaven while the Great Pyramid is standing there, bigger than anything else for several thousand years.
