Since it has ZERO definition outside of scripture, we are forced to rely on God's WORD to define it; and right in the VERY first chapter of the Bible, He does define it as HEAVEN. What's interesting is that heavens are almost infinitely vast, with Galaxies Sextillions of miles apart from each other. The suns light passing through the firmament causes the light to slow down and separate into its elemental colours, that spectrum is then displayed on the rain that acts like a canvas....works much like a projector & screen. This doesn't work in FE with the sun being inside the dome.

Isaiah used the word "circle" in ch. 40:22, but used the word "ball" in ch. 22:18. Why do people always skip over that fact. He knew the difference between the two words but wrote them as he did. So the point @11:00 mark is not a very good disproof.

Because the word circle in 40:22 is used in a phrase "circle OF Earth" which can mean a flat disk or anything circular including a ball shape. A sphere is a three dimensional circle. In 22:18 it reads "..and toss thee like a ball .." "Ball" here is a direct simile. Yes, He knows the difference, but man doesn't always get grammar correct.

Here's an easy way you can test the 'flatness' of water for yourself without anyone else's help (which will spare you the embarrassment of having someone else present when your folly is exposed). Simply go to any body of water that is at least 2mi (3.2km) wide anywhere on earth on a calm night and position a bright torch or laser 8in (20cm) above the waterline on one shore, pointed towards the opposite shore. Now, go to the opposite shore, to where the light is pointed. If the earth is flat, you should be able to see the light from your torch or laser right down to the waterline. If the earth is curved, you won't be able to see that same light from less than 8in (20cm) above the waterline at a 2mi (3.2km) distance. The latter is what you will find, because even the water level follows the curve of the earth - which works out to 8in (20cm) per 1mi (1.6km).

A throne is a symbol of a king's or queen's authority, power, and claim to rule, and can also represent both divine and secular rule. A foot stool is a physical object. Commercial aircraft try to fly in the jet stream to conserve fuel. Do your research and you'll find there is four jet streams. There are two in the North and two in the Southern Hemisphere, so how did the guys who penned the Bible know about these four jet streams when they were only discovered in the 1920's, when planes could finally fly high enough to discover them? Thus, we have a dome shaped earth that requires cross ventilation. Much like a house has two ventilation areas. If you were to ventilate the whole earth, then you'll need inlets of air and outlets. That's why in Revelation 7:1 it states "I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree." Each of the angels on each corner of the earth would feed in a jet stream of air into the dome, much like a leaf blower to cross ventilate the entire earth. Jet streams would not work on a ball shaped earth, because they'd fizzle out to nothing very quickly) Additionally, there are 67 scriptural references which tell us that it is the sun and NOT the earth that move. But not a single bible verse or reference that tells us the earth is moving. Thus, the Bible supports a stationary earth. Electrostatic force works the same way with charge. The two formulas are almost identical.

AiG is a fantastic resource for so many topics, except Biblical cosmology. We really need to stand on the word of God to explain our earth. I am surprised since AiG is correct about so many things that this huge error would not be plainly obvious to them. You have to use the scriptures as the basis for Biblical cosmology, but AiG tries to piecemeal the parts of secular astronomy they are comfortable with into their worldview. God's word says the opposite of the heliocentric model. the sun moves. earth does not move. don't be afraid of those scriptures go back and read them again because they are there for a purpose. God didn't accidentally let them slip into the Bible. they are intentional. The reason this movement is growing is because the blinders are being lifted by the will of God. It is encouraging to see so many believers in the comment section who have had their eyes opened to Biblical cosmology. In fact from what I can see there are more for Biblical Cosmology than against it in the comments. Praise God!!! I pray the AiG team will have their eyes opened to the truth as well so they will stand boldly on God's word rather than trying to fit secular ideas into a Christian worldview. Word "ball" (dur or duwr) is used elsewhere of an army encircling a camp, clearly doesn't only mean ball! Khug was the appropriate word there. Faulkner legitimately doesn't seem to know the right answer about that Isaiah passage though -- that "earth" can mean and there likely does mean the land of Israel, and khug the circuit of its border, as JP Holding shows. Either way, khug can mean an archlike shape, so dur would actually have been better if it means Planet Earth and it was flat!

Firmament is debunked. The word is raqia, expanse, said in Genesis 1 to equal the shamayim, heavens, and birds are "of" the heavens in the same way fish are "of" the water there, so clearly raqia includes the air. Or else you wouldn't be able to breathe, let alone a fish to fly, if it was solid!

Ships sailing out of view is only a proof that the ship has sailed out of range of your vision. Anyone reading this can verify it for themselves if they have or can borrow a high powered camera or telescope. When an object dissappears over the "curve", simply aim at where it was, and zoom in, the object comes back in to view. Well what about once it goes out of view again? Now it FINALLY went over the curve right? Nope. The human eye and optical lenses do not have super sight capabilities with polarized optical enhancers that have the power to see indefinitely through miles of water vapor and atmosphere. Let's illustrate it another way. If a pool was 2 miles deep and we're looking straight down, should we expect to see the bottom? Is our inability to see the bottom caused by the curvature of the earth since we all should have super sight but can't see it? Anyone that has taken care of a pool knows it can even be difficult to see the bottom of a pool that is only 10 feet deep if it isn't cleaned properly or a little cloudy. In reality what we are seeing is the limitations of light reaching our eyes caused by MILES of water molecules in the air between us and the object we are looking at. There is rarely any significant light beyond a depth of 200 meters(656 feet), though in perfect conditions light has been detected at a depth of 1,000 meters(3,280 feet). Keep in mind there are 5,280 feet in 1 mile. Water collected together in a pool is obviously more dense than the surrounding water vapor in the air, but it adds up substantially when looking through a few miles of it. Depending on the humidity and other weather conditions, visibility can be increased or decreased drastically because of these varying factors. When you look at water right in front of you or next to a boat what do you see? There is a constant bombardment of waves and swells slapping up against the boat. This constant water movement right in front of you covers up part of the image you see. Now increase that effect over miles of water sloshing around between you and the image you are viewing from your angular perspective. Of course there is going to be visual disturbances between your line of vision and the bottom of the object you are looking at, especially at a distance of 3 miles or more. This is basic common sense and logic, not a proof of imaginary curvature. Fog is another easy example of how dense water vapor can obstruct our vision. We've all experienced driving in fog where it's difficult to see even a few feet in front of you. Poor visibility in foggy conditions isn't proof of curvature, because you understand there is a dense layer of water vapor obstructing your view. For some reason people decide to neglect their known experiences dealing with the accumulative effects of all these distortion variables as you look out over miles of them.
