mandelbrot set is also amazing. AT&T once had a problem with static in their phone lines. They discovered that the static was occurring naturally because of fluctuations in the earth's magnetic field (if i remember correctly) anyway, Mandelbrot discovered that the pattern was predictable, using a mathematic formula, and they were able to muffle out the static. It’s the mathematical formula that paved the way for computer generated imagery (CGI) that makes it possible for computers to create natural looking images in movies. There is also Benford's Law that is actually used to detect tax fraud, because even the chaos of random numbers follow a mathematic formula. This all didn’t happen without a creator. Ps: the blood vessels in a cancerous tumor look like a briar patch instead of normal blood vessels because cancer and briars are the result of the curse, not creation.

This only proves that nature can be quantified by mathematical constants, something one would expect in a universe dictated by implacable universal constants i.e. the speed of light is the universal speed limit (for massless particles which also behave as waves aka photons) and anything with mass can never achieve _c_ because the closer to the speed of light a mass gets the more massive it becomes, and would become infinitely massive _at_ the speed of light, which is impossible, so a mass can never accelerate to _c_. Then of course the values of the weak and strong atomic forces, that hold atomic nuclei together, but allow for valence shell electron sharing to create molecules from atoms, and so on and so on. The universal constants were established at the point of the _expansion_ aka the "big bang", and they are inviolable. So the behavior of all mass and energy are dictated by these laws. And since everything we can interact with consists of energy laden mass, it stands to reason that the universal constants will be represented in the forms and the behavior the energy laden mass take, whether it's a dihydrogen molecule (hydrogen does not occur as lone atoms of itself due to its degree of reactivity, it occurs as dihydrogen [Hsub2], the same as oxygen, which occurs as dioxygen [Osub2]) or a galactic super cluster. So, my dear deluded theist, you ask, "what does that have to do with us and YHWH's master stroke called creation?" It's rather simple; everything is the result of the universal constants at work from the Planck scale to the scale of the universe itself. I'm agnostic, so I don't know if there is or is not a deity or deities, but I am certain beyond doubt that her/him/them/they had nothing to do with the formation and shape of the universe or the things which reside in it, they are not necessary for universal laws to exist or work. (They're also not necessary for us to have "souls" as you call them, but I prefer the German "geist" because it's a word with no strict translation to English without context, and since they lie beyond the corporeal veil, I can't cognize what they could possibly be or their particular relation to our corporeal forms). Now, as for how the Fibonacci sequence and its derivative irrational number relate to the ratiometry of DNA and hurricanes and spiral arm galaxies, and of course, those pretty mollusk shells, it is rather ironically selective adaptation. Yes, evolution. Because every creationist I've listened to so far with their nonsensical "theories" and "proofs" keep pounding on that word. Evolution. Evolution. Evolution. Evolution. Over and over and over. We here in irrepressible curiosityville, cloistered in the suburb of empiricism, have moved far beyond Darwin's simplistic "fittest survive to reproduce" idea to _selectionism_, and there are many forms of selectionism at work. There's the basic selective pressure dynamic at work, closest to the old evolutionism, then there's selective adaptation, which adds the nuance of behavioral predilection across members of a species either being adaptive or maladaptive, then there's group selection, where a monolithic species either gets divided by a natural barrier, or the species is already multi-adapted for say, ground foraging and tree foraging, and an absence of predation causes one group to prefer ground foraging and the other tree foraging, and selective adaptation leads to desirable mutations improving the reproduction of more and more specialized ground foragers to diverge from more and more specialized tree foragers. Then there's kin selection, which is how our ancestors arose and raised higher and higher to us. But that's all too much by far I am certain. I ramble. Back to the Fibonacci sequence, showing up across scales in the hundreds or thousands of orders of magnitude in size. For supermassive objects like galaxies, or merely large systems like hurricanes, the sequence holds because, what's that again? Oh yes, universal constants. It's not a matter of faith, but rather, "it just so turns out" that the universal constants acting at quantum or near quantum scales, well, scale. Think of the slug of U235 at the heart of a thermonuclear weapon, a few pounds of U235 surrounded by a layer of tritium, and then a layer of high explosive, and gobs of precisely tuned mechanics and electronics, if set up just right, will generate a fireball briefly hotter than the surface of the sun, emit a respectable amount of energy in proportion to the day's totalized energy emitted from the sun warming the earth and its atmosphere, and produce a prominence billions of times larger in volume than the device which created it. Though an imperfect analogy, I think the point I'm making is self evident. The shape and spin of a spiral arms galaxy started as a mostly formless blob of byproducts of young universe hypernovae, orbiting a supermassive black hole (like all galaxies observed thus far) mass and energy like rich soil and a stable parent star, beginning to order itself based on laws expanding fractaly upwards from the quantum scale. The first life forms, the prokaryotes (like bacteria; no nucleus, but modern bacteria are much more complex than their Hadean ancestors) "But where did they come from?" Well, of course, evolutionary microbiologists have yet to spontaneously cause simple life forms to order them selves from their building blocks, but I don't think they'll ever be able to, personally. They have a thousand hypotheses, but they don't have a naturally occurring spontaneous genesis of simple life forms example lying around, and there's a lot that was simply smashed and bashed to bits then back together in the young solar system, so the geology on earth is of limited utility for evidence of some launching point from complex organic molecules conjoining in to amino acids, and then those protean amino acids spontaneously folding by chance in to simple proteins. It's going to take studying an organic rich meteor floating somewhere between the planets to get an idea of young earth organic chemistry. So for the time being it has to be taken for granted that simple prokaryotic life was already growing at the en of the Hadean epoch 3.7 bilion years ago, and we knew this from the exposed rock of the north Canadian shield, which is the oldest exposed rock that survived the early cataclysms, an it's a treasure trove of imprints of the earliest life forms. Now, keep in mind, selective adaptation and pressures were constant during this period. We may not even be the descendants of the first organisms to burst in to life. There may have been multiple geneses of life before the end of the late heavy bombardment. But once the conditions became less chaotic there still may have been several early geneses of competing microbial life. This is where the earliest common ancestor of ALL life on earth would have come from. And this is the answer to the Fibonacci sequence showing up everywhere. The competing biologies would have been in the first and most crucial series of selective adaptations on Earth. The simplest and most robust biological basis would be the ancestral species of all. And clearly, it was a life form patterned after the same universal constants that dictated the forms taken by spiral galaxies, hurricanes, and every other robust and repeatable form. A form that just so happened to mimmic the mathematical pattern of the fibonacci sequence and its irrational derivative encoded within it. Why that sequence? It's simple, it's robust, it repeats indefinitely, and it achieves a stable pattern after very few iterations. And that's a dictate of the universal constants. And that's it. It's that simple. Robust, repeatable and stable forms which are entropy resistant (with the help of a stable star driving the nascent biosphere) are adaptively robust. And that's it. I spent two hours writing this. Try picking away WITH OUT resorting to mythology.

@artchnei8Industr You said art class?? I'm really blown-away!! Yrs ago when I finally was questioning God, I was out shopping & an elderly gentleman leaned over to me & said, "Did you know that God is left-handed?" WHAAATT? I'm obsessively left-handed, so he had my attn! He continued that he's an artist & it's believed in that sphere that God is left-handed due to the placement of petals on flowers & leaves, throughout all of nature, incl. the roll & shape of seashells, etc!! When I met that man, life was drudgery & deep gray to me. That brief discussion made me see color & beauty all around & instilled a hunger in me that continues today. So, if you receive the link or have other info you could please share with me? I would be forever grateful!! God's blessings on you!!

Atheists are not capable of making that assessment so classical atheism (which is the most widely understood definition of atheism) is a logical fallacy. Now you know what a fallacy is. The mathematical "law" is merely a mathematical sequence that is often observed in nature which is not unusual given its efficient properties. But if you’re asking “where does gravity come from” or “why does 2 + 2 = 4” you are simply asking a derivative of the question, “why is there something instead of nothing” which is a great question. The truth of course is that nobody knows. Given that nobody knows, is a timeless spaceless agent a possibility? Yeah it could be! But that doesn’t prove that God exists.
