against larger bugs don't make choke points you have the numerical advantage so take it by massing your forces against their smaller numbers. chokepoint will make it like the battle of 300

This game is really fun to watch! Keep playing this and TABS please :) Also, I have an idea for your next TABS battle! The Battle of Gaugamela! Persian Army- 30 Poachers divides into 2 lines of 15, inbetween them is a gap big enough for a chariot to get through. On each wing is 1 chariot, and in the back center there is a 3rd chariot (This belongs to Darius III). Behind each line of poachers is 5 footmen, they represent the Persian immortals. Macedonian Army- Double line of 28 spearmen, 1 ballista behind this line. 1 Chariot in front of 5 archers on the right wing (This chariot is Alexander). 10 Archers on the left wing. Have fun with it, and keep up the great content!

A hint for lvl 2: MAINTAIN CHOKE POINTS and take it slowly, especially as you get closer to the second queen. Also, try to keep enough spare food around to hatch reinforcements, you're gonna need them as there are some battles back to back.

I have a vague feeling that you've heard this before but, a choke point favours you in a situation you have a small number of strong troops. It prevents the enemy from swamping you. For example 1 tank vs and 100 infantry: in a choke point, 3 shells and the tank wins... In open field? At least a couple of infantrymen would get behind the tank to sabotage it. In your scenario... You are playing the infantry. TL;DR: swamping works better in the case of ants. P.S: Nice video! ^.^

SimAnt was cool AF back in the day, and I think it's free (abandonware) now. The nests run pretty much autonomously in that game, you can adjust behavior and the ratio of larva but you can only directly control one ant at a time in the world (although you can influence behavior as that ant by dropping pheromone trails and also recruiting other ants into a swarm). There were also cheat codes so you could do things like, IDK, play as a LASER SPIDER.

The ants need to be more autonomous. For example if youre dealing with threats from multiple fronts you're gonna need those soldiers to be able to simultaneously respond these threats. Perhaps for a more manual option you could place multiple pheromone points with percentage values. For example one point will have 30% soldiers going to it. This percentage will be maintained by the soldiers them selves. So if one soldier dies at either points the soldier cast as whole will shift to make sure the value at each point stays true. How these values can be set is with multiple points set in one area to achieve a certain percentage. In other words you have placed 3 points and 2 of those points are place in one area. That means 66% percent of soldier ants will be their. The other option could be just typing the percentage value. I draw inspiration from the arcade game darwinia (btw send me a message if you wanna play) as the first option was precisely the strategy I used to maintain the order of my legion.

No he is correct, Large halls will not only collapce but will also aid an invading insects. This is why ants build relatevly small halls (exept for the queen), separated by long and narrow tunnels. Ants exist from more than 140 millions of years, and posses DNA memory, modern ant knows how to deal with problems that her ancestors encountered ages ago. So they must know what are they doing.

If you had a chokepoint, then you would be at the same (basically, to your 4;1 odds) loss count, and then it would REALLY stackup for you and you and would be drained (I paused at 26:35) and really you want to make a wide room for a funnel then a chokepoint and have them all clustered while you're swarming from all their angles. While you're doing the chokepoint, spam warriors at the funnel.

Pretty cool game. I think they should encourage "ant-like" room systems by causing collapses if you make rooms too large and unsupported. Say, a certain amount of cleared tiles in an area will increase the likelihood of collapse. Obviously a collapse would kill any ant, structure, or queen, in its area.

If you have the smaller units, chokepoints are bad for you. If you can surround the enemy with soldiers you get lots attacking them. With chokepoints in narrow tunnels, it narrows it down to about 1-on-2 which is much more manageable for them.
