Thanos was pretty close. It's just his plan needed tweaking. His plan was dumb because planets all have different levels of resources and populations. Arbitrarily killing 50% across the universe means he likely wiped out many species that were near extinction with low population issues. He could have done a series of other plans that make more sense: 1. Instead of halving the population in the universe double or triple the resources. 2. If the action can only take life then at least specify that the lives be taken only on over-populated planets. 3. You could even specify the snap to take the elderly only and not kids. 4. You could specify people with diseases or illnesses likely to cause them to die anyways. Overall the snap plan Thanos hasd was just too simplistic and dumb.
@Spycopter Жыл бұрын
@@mcfail3450 I did think about the same ideas but had some ideas as to why those were not followed up with: I agree with doubling/replenishing the resources being a more benevolent idea but I think that the point why Thanos never followed that path is that doubling the resources simply is not a sustainable path to go. For one he could believe that you would almost every doubling need another powerfull being (seeing as Thanos possibly never expected "regular" people to be able to wield the stones) that can be trusted to wield them. And rather sooner than later you get to problems with waste and pollution, not to mention that every time you need to replenish or double the resources, where do they go? As an example: what happens with double the oil in an oil field that was never drilled for? Does it just start existing on the surface? Does the oil get double its density? Why should it not seep up or down? And if one was to replenish the resources...what happens when people settled where once stood a forest? In essence there is a multitude of problems that one maybe could solve in the long run for one planet but certainly not for a universe of galaxies full of planets. Concerning your other points about halving the population: If (and based on the onscreen representation I think this should make sense to be expectable) Thanos was truly going to reduce the population by half, he would not do half it by simply saying left or right half. Based on the scenes that set up his decision finding or rather the explanation of reasoning why he does want to snap half of life out of existance, the only logical thing to do is to snap every second thing. Not by universal standards but locality. Because what good would snapping the left half of life do to the right half? Why should you snap one planet but not the next one? The only sensible thing how this idea even remotely works is by snapping every second thing. Not methodically but in total. That would affect everywhere the same way and the only species that would be killed off by that are the ones that are a population of 2 or less. Plus: this way would absolutely affect densely populated planets more that those with lower populations. I do however agree that Thanos was a "good" villain. And we definitely need more well written movie villains. If you read this far, thank you for reading and sorry if my English has some mistakes, it is not my native language.

For a second I emphasized because I remember what it was like being bent on revenge. I forgot who I was, and why I was ever like that. I forgot what I was missing, and how blind I had become. When everything felt hopeless I thought to myself what was the point? And I became bitter and out of touch. All I seek is redemption, love, reclamation, and forgiveness in myself. But I have a long way to go.
@1991mikerisumfeldt Жыл бұрын

@DamienDarkside Жыл бұрын
@@1991mikerisumfeldt Yeah don't worry revenge is actually really sweet, it's honestly really awesome when done right and can be the most fulfilling things you can do, especially as a male. The problem is that you have to PLAN and the DO the revenge, it can't be mindless actions for lashing out. Otherwise you get lost in the sauce, and then it isn't actually revenge at all. Whoever tormented the original poster won, they won so completely it took over their life. The is the opposite of revenge, it's just continuously being a victim. OP never truly got their revenge. I'll teach the proper steps: 1) *Identify the Cause* - WHY do you need revenge? Revenge is 100% always retaliation, never an opening aggressive act. Bugs Bunny was the MASTER of revenge, and you know he never did anything until someone hurts him and he says "You know.... this means war". Same to you, this is only for when people have done something to you directly with them knowing they did it to you. They deserve revenge! Recognize they they had the choice to NOT do this thing to you, and decided YOUR SUFFERING was LESS important than THEIR GAIN. They shouldn't have done that to begin with. Now you just have to make sure you know everything they did, this way you can formulate a proper response. If you don't know, you can fall into the trap of not being satisfied with your revenge due to not indulging enough. They did this first, now it's time to retaliate. 2) *Plan your Actions* - If you still want to be socially active with the person, then you plan your revenge to make sure they don't know it's you. If you wish to send a message, you have to make sure they know it's from you but without you suffering social consequences from others. Do you plan on causing physical harm? There should be no "accidents" in your plan, or "mistakes". You are delivering precise suffering to someone, plan it, don't wing it. Otherwise you might end up with egg on your face if you don't plan on the actions correctly. This also includes how far you will go. Always plan how far you will go, and then plan on stopping there. Understand WHY you are stopping there, if not you may have to pull plans back, or do even more. In order to be satisfied with revenge, it should be at LEAST about 25% more severe than the action that was done against you, up to double what they did. This way you know that you not only balanced the scales, but it was worth doing it due to you now having MORE than the person did at the start. This is key, you have to do more than what they did to you. 3) *Take Responsibility and Go All In* - There is no half-way for revenge. Once you commit, commit. You're an adult, you are smart, you have planned this action against someone who has wronged you and got away with it. Now it is time to deliver revenge. Do the thing, and don't back out halfway or you're going to regret it thinking "what-if"? You take the burden and responsibility of doing this action to it's complete, planned end. "He who dares, wins" is the motto of many successful people for a reason. 4) *Reflect and Indulge* - You won, you are actually better than that person. If they were better than you, they wouldn't have done that thing to you to begin with. If they were better than you, they wouldn't have done something to you. If they were better than you, your revenge would not have worked. They thought they could wrong you, but they can't. Justice has not only been served, it is now understood on a new level for you. They did something to you, then they suffered the consequences. People who don't learn, are just bound to do the exact same thing to someone else or worse, escalate. Then also reflect on how you'd improve in case this happens again. Always learn from your experiences, even if everything goes well. OP didn't follow the steps. They didn't fully understand the wrongdoing, so they acted out of instinct. Then they suffered the consequences of their actions, because they didn't think it out fully. Then they didn't go all the way properly since they didn't know were that was, and either didn't take enough or got lost in the sauce. This is what happens when you aren't responsible with revenge, as it is serious and needs careful planning. Revenge is so fucking good in the end. Do it, or you'll likely be a victim full of regrets. Don't let others do ill to you without consequences. Jesus taught us to treat others as we wanted to be treated after all, you're just the other side of that coming back at that person and showing them it's REAL.

I even confess then I fought against my father and he fought back all I did was break our hearts because of all the times that he has punished me all the times he has disciplined me and even over disciplined to me at times most the time it filled his heart with regret and to this day he thinks I have never apologized him for it but the truth is there are times I wanted to fight him to the point where he was so afraid of me but I couldn't do it because he has so much to live for and now look at him he found God he became a member of a non-denominational church but he still has a long way to go because despite the fact that he has found God he is still a very judgemental man because of his personal hatred towards gay people something that he doesn't want to admit and he also chose to push himself away from my godfather. Regardless of how it is said what my father is missing is 5 Decades of good friendship he may have his other friends he's known since he was a kid but he's missing his best friend because from what I understood your best friend is your brother for your sister for life. I hope that my father will try his best to talk to my godfather even if I have to convince him to talk to him tomorrow on Christmas the point is we need each other more than ever in regardless of how angry my father gets we lost a lot of people since the covid-19 pandemic and we are losing hundreds to thousands because of the war with Russia. So you see my friend we need everybody more than ever it's like the old saying I need you more than you need me but it should rightfully mean we need all of you more than you need us. I believe that there is still a sense of hope I still believe in God regardless of how cruel the world is we must remember that we are not alone and though the days seem long and the road may be longer but with the aid of God and good people in our lives the road becomes shorter and life becomes more simpler. If you don't mind me saying so I would like to pray for you I admit that I'm not a good Christian because I still have sins I got an answer for but I'm hoping that God will forgive me and I hope to become a better person in life but the prayer I want to make for you is simple. I thought Bale was an extremely weak villain and the worst part of this movie😒He was getting thrown around like a ragdoll in his " toga",and not very intimidating in my opinion. The kids going into battle also sucked🙄..I did like Thor's opening battle scene and the one in Olympus. Actually i thought the coolest thing in the movie was ( lady) Thor's hammer reforming itself after separating into pieces and wiping out the monsters attacking that village 😮Loved the metallic sound of the pieces rapidly flying back piece by piece reforming the hammer🤘🤨.. now that was pretty cool. I hope the next one will have the same 300 style visuals ( like opening of Ragnarok,with the Dragon ) ..and would be cool if he battles Hercules,then they end up joining together to fight some demons or dragons or some other Gods. (maybe some comedy..ok..but mostly action/battles) and just generally more serious tone.Hercules was always the hero in other movies and i would want him to be a hero with Thor as well💪🤨.. and please let " Lady Thor " stay in Valhala guiding them from there🙄... the " serious tone could come from Gorrs daughter being killed and Thor seeking revenge.( that should tone down the jokes🙄)

This movie makes me sad. Because the pieces were there. Such a clear parallel between Gorr and Thor and losing people they care about. This and that deleted Zeus scene. So sad that Taika had to Waititi all over the film.
@EchoObserver929 күн бұрын
Taika had to Waititi Ahahahah... He seems unable to have something be simply serious... I think he would benefit from a co-director or writer who can be his foil and simply say NO we are being serious here... This movie started and ended with the most somber scenes imaginable... How in the F did it end up being an 80% kid's movie??? It deals with a child dying in her father's arms who find out it was for empty cult manipulation like all religions... Decapitate his god while the MC has to deal with his love dying of cancer... And he decided to make it a kid's movie??? Makes sense with Jojo rabbit as the MC is a kid but not with Thor and Gorr! They are grown ass ppl! Yeah someone with a more "mature" sense needs to be there to Watiti down the Taika a bit...
