Really interesting seeing the perspective of somebody who prefers the Wii version. The cursor controls are wayyyy better, but I find myself preferring the Gamecube version because I like controlling the Pikmin with the C-stick, and I find it easier to mash the A button without having the cursor vibrate all over the place. I remember playing Pikmin 2’s multiplayer through a GameCube copy on my Wii from a rental store. (The only GameCube game I played until I started collecting) My brother and I had the time of our lives. We had it for five days and just loved it. Pikmin 3 port? Well considering that the Gamepad is used heavily in the game as a live map and for the “Go Here” function IDK. Also what would the controls be like? Would it revert to the GameCube/ Pro Controller style controls or would they reused the Gyro Pointer from Captain Toad to replicate the Wii Remote Controls? Also what about the Gamepad Touch Controls, would they be exclusive to handheld mode? In short Pikmin 3 would need a hell of a lot of tweaking in order though be realistically playable on the Switch.

actually according to the pikmin 1 manual: the reason why Captain Olimar did not intercept the incoming meteor from the beginning of the game with the Nova Blaster is because the route he was flying through was usually a safe one, therefore he had put the S.S. Listen up dude when you get to pikmin 3 you have to spend at least half of the vid talking about mission mode & dlc mission mode is the one and only thing that makes pikmin 3 better than all the other games. You should think of mission mode as the primary game mode instead of story mode. It’s such an intense and rewarding experience. story mode may be a lot of fun the first time you play it. but mission mode will have you come back time and time again trying to get the platinum medals. And on top of that mission mode is co-op. this is what makes pikmin 3 my favourite game of all time. Everyone should buy the mission mode dlc because pikmin 3 is a Nintendo selects title. Please give mission mode the attention it deserves. And if this comment inspires you could you please like it so I know

Thank you so much for covering this series! This is one of my favorite Nintendo series and I feel it is very underrated! Funny thing is, I started with the GC version of the game, and have nostalgia for it, but I agree with you that the Wii version of both Pikmin 1 and 2 are the superior versions of these games, they just feel so much more natural! I have nearly perfected a no death run of Pikmin 2 Wii, the least amount of Pikmin I've lost is 5, to the second encounter with the Empress Bulblax and her stupid babies, my most hated boss in the entire game. Even the third enounter with the Empress Bulblax is, in my opinion, easier, as there is less time for her to pop out a large group of Bulborb Larva, despite there being less room to escape from her.

Last summer I completed all four Pikmin games, and while doing so I watched your three old Pikmin videos. They were great, but they felt a bit dated, so I'm glad you're going through the Pikmin series once again! I'm also really looking forward to hear your opinion about Hey! Pikmin.
