The goal of the game is to get loot. If your drop rates too high people will get loot too fast and stop playing. If players dont get enough loot then they'll stop playing because they feel their time isn't valued. It's a thin line to walk so yes it's not an easy thing to balance. I'm not defending the fact that this game launched with no issues. Far from that but to say that there is an easy fix is not possible.

Interesting, I heard people really didn't like original Division all that much. I remember laughing at Division 2 announcement, "They're making a sequel to a game that didn't go well the first time!? HAHAHA" but considering the dumpster fire that is the current game industry, I'm happy people haven't wasted their money on something. I'm not a fan of shooter games so won't be buying it, but nice that some devs actually know how to make that genre fun for consumers that enjoy it.

@@ExireHG Div 1 at launch was a horrible, horrible mess. No major real bugs, but just poorly designed and an overall bad experience at endgame (though I loved the dark zone). Fast-forward 12 months and they fixed all of that and made the game incredible. Div 2 surprisingly builds on where Div 1 was. I still can't get over how much content is there at endgame. It's insane.

After the lie that was the "our world, your story" trailer it's clear that Bioware/EA have reached a new all time low, they've lost my trust a while ago. People love brands because they expect the same quality each iteration. The problem is that developers/publishers have abused brand loyalty/desire so much that you cant trust that any game will be good, even if it is the second or third in a series. Hell, Fallout 76 is basically a cash grab based purely on the Fallout name. Same with Metal Gear Survive. It almost feels like if a game is a sequel or follow-up to a successful game, it is going to be terrible (I know the latest God of War didn't fall into that). Not that many names left that haven't been dragged through the mud. Rare (Sea of Thieves), Bungie (Destiny), Bioware (Anthem), Bethesda (Fallout 76), Blizzard (Diablo Immortal), Gearbox (Every non Borderlands game) I really enjoyed the mass effect games, the second most of all, but never picked up Andromeda because mass effect 3 felt so lackluster. At this point, after being burned a few times by sequels to games I loved, I never pick up any game preorder/day one these days. There are a few series that I would look forward to a new release, but still wont buy them day one.

and mass effect even after andromeda. i was the biggest bioware fanboi jade empire, kotor, DAO mass effect, then 3 happened....and a bunch of the old guard had moved on or began moving on in decent numbers, then andromeda that appears to have been a colossal mismanagement issue on the biowares home office front mostly not keeping tabs on wtf their sister studio was doing with their IP. Cant fault EA for being hands off except in the marketing dept they sure gave montreal tons of rope to sink their own game. The old bioware is dead and gone hardly any great loss at this point.

I'd say there r no reroll mechanics of gear stats or any mechanics to recalibrate the already present stat in ur gear in the game unlike there is in division, so by dropping more masterworks or legendary they kind of serve a similar purpose of reroll kinda so it's good to get the buggy more loot

regarding picking up loots, it's not really helping as well with interceptor user where half the time (if not most) they defeat enemies with melee and loots are dropping right away. wish we can drop it mid expedition/mission/strongholds/anything where combat enabled.
