Same with Diablo 3, I recently began playing it again, and on the higher difficulties where I'm in the endgame it makes fun, because I get a couple of legendaries each rift/grift, then I decided to get a second character to the endgame, means i cant play the higher difficulties, and on easier difficulties I get maybe one legendary each rift/grift if I'm lucky and it's more excsausting.

It's funny how all these much-loved franchises and gaming companies have turned to crap. You take bungee are BioWare even blizzard Rockstar all these companies had great games and they've absolutely ruined their name their brand and their games. Much-loved IP's have gone the way of the graveyard from Mass Effect 2 dead space Red Dead Redemption was a good game but the online is actually destroying it now. The Fallout series undone by Fallout 76. Blizzard a much-loved gaming company I'm done by signing with Activision. Now games like Dragon Age an elder scrolls are being called into question because of the Shady actions of these corporations. That is why I have got no interest in buying the Next Generation consoles. If this is the area that the gaming industry is going down with this games as a service I'm not interested.

I'm getting sick of the constant bug where i can't interact with items like opening chests or opening resource nodes. I have lost so many loot boxes because when I went to pick it up, game was glitched so I couldn't open it and I needed to close the game and open it again.

In Warframe the devs sometimes keep unitended changes if they see it as fair. For example, there are rare mods (upgrade items) that can only obtained by finding and opening a vault with a specific key. However, you could only carry one key and there are 4 variants, which means you only have 25% chance to open , and the key also reduces one of your stats by 75% (health, damage, etc). So usually people would farm in groups of 4 for a guaranteed drop (but they still have to find the vault and you can get any of the rare mods, even those you already have). But then a patch came and you could carry multiple keys, so even solo players had guaranteed chance to open the vault. The catch is that they also get the 4 debuffs, which means 75% less shields, health, damage and movement speed. The devs became aware of it but decided to keep the glitch because they deemed it fair

@Jacob Howell - Yep it was originally called Zoren Coptering, and in one of DE's earlier videos, Steve talked about it, and how they saw what the players wanted (mobility) and implemented into the game as the now bullet jumping mechanic. In my opinion, DE/Warframe and EA/Bioware/Anthem are the prime example of why investor-led publishers need to be relegated to history. Without corporate fat-cats demanding impossible achievements at the cost of everything that makes games great, DE was able to create something truly special. If you want a good example, go look up Skill Up's Tennocon 2018 video, the first 2 minutes where he describes the note someone left on the window to DE's cafeteria says it all.

There were people even saying they didn't even improve their builds with the increase in drops (because again, the real value is in the inscription rolls) but it kept them playing because it still felt rewarding, which is what the developer should be striving for.

Diablo III only got fun when Blizzard stopped throttling the Legendaries (and also got rid of the god-awful auction house). Nowadays, you'll find plenty of Legendary items and that makes it all a lot more fun - especially since each has its own passive effect and you can extract those to use them without the item in question.

However I agree with OP in regards of Hearthstone and WoW. Those 2 games are fucking shit stained dick when it comes to effort invested vs. reward. Its a shame though, up to 3 years ago I actually had fun with HS. The last 2 years, its was more something I kept around because it was something to do while folding laundry. And I ended up uninstalling it 2 weeks ago because it is just not fun at all anymore.

Each appeals to different gamer sets, but we know EA wants everyone to be playing all of their live services so they can gouge wallets. Ubisoft are the same, Bethesda appear to be trying to play in the park too, it's unsustainable. Gamers don't have 48hrs per day to fit these games and work and sleep and life into said day. It's a pick one deal for the gamers, and that simple facet of reality means that companies will kill games at the drop of a hat if they have another "fresh" live service to offer.

Yeah this is a huge issue these days. Recently Blizzard nerfed most of the fun out of a pair of in-game goggles that turned other players in to corgis by giving them a 30 minute cooldown. Shouldn't a game be fun to play no matter what, whether or not you gain "progress"?? If it's not fun unless you get good loot it's probably not good to begin with. Also, once you have the best you can get from these loot drops there won't be any progress to be made, so increasing the loot drop rate doesn't really fix the problem anyways, they'd need to keep adding new overpowered loot over and over to keep people interested. From the video on a Reddit post "...it was an incentive to keep grinding knowing that you're not wasting 30 minutes of your life for 0 progression." That's the statement of someone who doesn't like the game at all and is just addicted to loot treadmills.

I don't think people just want to be able to get the best weapons right away. They did mention, they don't mind the grind for more and more of the best weapons to have the best stats or something because apparently the rolls for the weapons are horrible. But now, they not only have to deal with horrible rolls, they also deal with the almost no drops issue. Imagine how they feel, at first maybe they have to farm for 100 masterwork weapons to get 1 good one, and now the time to get 1 masterwork weapon is increased 100 times (might not be the actual stats but just using this as an example). So players are just getting too little out of playing such that they feel there's almost no progression. I for one know that feel because most mobile free to play games to that too, to force you to pay to progress a tiny bit quicker, but when I refuse to pay, the grind is painstakingly long.

This is just not the right way to look at it. People hated Diablo 3 until getting decent drops from your legendaries was a thing, and the rolls on loot are the same as gambling. Why would people spend so much on loot boxes if they didn't gain some sort of enjoyment? It works in the same way with looters you feel better being flooded in possibilities rather than seeing it as a chore with minimal rewards. I don't play anthem but in D3/Poe/destiny I've always went to grind to also get different builds and anthem is live service so it's not like they can't keep scaling up the end game by adding new items. Claiming that they're whiny or they don't enjoy the game is simply dismissing the problem because you personally don't have this problem yourself.

I've preordered game from developers I really trust a few times and been mostly satisfied, but it doesn't change the fact that constant online connectivity in our current consoles/computers has allowed developers to release unfinished games and use paying customers as bug testers. Honest developers don't use that as an excuse to cut down on beta testing/quality control, but they're not a majority these days.

Cupriferous Catalyst I think a certain amount of bugs at launch, is acceptable, given that it can take thousands of players and many hours just to find one out. I say acceptable in the sense that I know why they do it, because they're in the business of staying in business and making money. With that said, a good video game will always be one that pleases its consumers. Just playing division 2, this game has a few bugs but nothing that makes the game difficult or unfun. I'm sure in a few weeks that they'll all be patched. Regardless, I wouldn't exchange my game time for this first few weeks, to have a perfectly patched game at a later time. @@freaky45 Have you even played Anthem? There's no lootboxes in Anthem... you directly buy what you want for what's featured in the store using in-game currency- or buying the premium currency called Shards. And even if you feel you don't have time to get that cool looking Armor/Vinyl/Material/Emote/Landing Animation, the featured items cycle once every week. So it gives you plenty of time to grind for the in-game currency. The microtransactions within Anthem are a stupid thing to call out as they are beyond pro-consumer. Why bitch about something that literally isn't manipulating you? And has nothing to do with the economy of the game? Play the game before you bring up points that hold no ground.

Pretty sure everyone is well aware that they’re renamed common guns, as it clearly states that in the description of the gun itself. That’s not the point though, the masterwork perk is what makes the gun “OP”. I could care less if my Unending Battle is a reskinned Fulcrum, it has 110% more damage off its masterwork perk and 110% added melee damage. As long as the masterwork perk itself is interesting and can “add” to a build (an Unending Battle makes an Interceptor melee build OP as hell) then I have no problem with it being a “renamed common”. The problem is that the drop rate of said guns in really low, and even when you get the gun you want - you’re going to end up wanting the god roll Legendary version of said gun, which isn’t possible to get, because BioWare is a bunch of schmucks and doesn’t know what “buffing” loot drops are, which in turn makes it nearly impossible to mid max a build.

Who the hell said I wanted just guns? Sure I'd like to get an MW Autocannon, any kind at this point, but I'm mostly after more MW components so my guy doesn't die in the first fucking second when fighting a Titan on Grandmaster difficulty. Which also lets me bring up the "Health from components" glitch that happens sometimes. Notice how when you have more health your green bar has a lot smaller, sliced up segments? Also, notice how sometimes even with a full fucking MW setup your health reverts back to about 2 large green segments? That's because your health and shields aren't registering in the game! HOLY FUCK BIOWARE. I really don't get this games loot algorithm system. Some days you get really nice loot, different MW components that you haven't gotten before. Then you'll hit this fucking dry spell and you get no more unique MW components even though you KNOW there are more to be had. But the game NEVER gives you anything else except what you have already! Nothing pisses me off more than that. At least let me load up on one of each available component BEFORE you start throwing duplicate shit at my face! This game has made me aggressive. Can you tell? I'm taking a good long break from Anthem right now because I just can't with them right now. The moment Rage 2 comes out, everything else can bite my ass. (The shitty games anyways.)

Asain I’ve got way more shit to worry about, for example, a lack of content and only being able to freeplay and run the same 3 strongholds over and over again. Renamed guns is at the very bottom of the list with things wrong with this game.

Red Dead Online, Anthem, Fallout 76... So many huge budget endeavours, each showing incredible potential, none of which has been tapped into. All these games failing due to such simple changes not being made, despite fanbase wide uproar. Everyone wants these small things for games like RDO and Anthem, but they're failing horribly and killing their own attempts at capitalising on big name brands.

I remember in warframe there was a bug called bullet jump, but players loved that mobility, so de made that movement more fluid and better instead of patching it calling it a bug. Now I feel, it is kind of a unique movement technique of warframe and incredibly fun too So please listen to us gamers please cuz in the end we r ur consumers and we keep your product alive !!!

@@treacherousjslither6920 yea, it was called 'coptering', doing an aerial attack with a very fast attack speed melee weapon would propel you forward, and the players used it to 'speedrun' missions. Then DE made it the staple movement system in the game. And people loved it. Imagine that.

Bioware knows that those who complain will stuck with them the long hall. Fixes can roll out slowly, players won't go anywhere else. If you want Bioware to make drastic changes, don't just complain about it, ditch the game, stop log in, show bioware you are serious.

diablo 3 is dead af. go try PoE loot, lol. getting your own gear by yourself is either impossible or takes weeks of grinding cards to trade it. otherwise you just sit in browser and trade, instead of playing the game. it strives though, unlike "generous" casual crap.

What they should have done is done stat rolls but it's exclusive to the quality. That way masterworks have a masterworks-exclusive stat pool to work with, with rare exceptions being higher than usual, with the drop rate being 1-2 times per raid and so on and so forth. I'm not sure how bountiful the loot is because I'm smart enough not to play this game. Like, this is elementary-level game design and they fucked it up. I seriously think Bioware swapped out human staff for monkeys. Cuz all I see is shit. Shit, shit, and more shit.

Based on how other games have handled this, my guess is Bioware is going to nerf the good stats, basically force the gear to be on a much flatter curve between the bad and the good, while keeping the drop rates unchanged (or possibly even lowered). Exciting, I know. I also love the almost open admission that the game is in Beta.
