Totally agree with Anthony. They’re a constant drain on your energy, money, resources etc., and that’s compounded tenfold if you’re unfortunate enough to have a child who has difficulties like a friend of mine had. Ask someone who doesn’t want kids why they don’t and they’ll give you plenty of logical reasons, ask someone who does want kids why they want them and they’ll rarely give a reason beyond “I’ve just always wanted them”. Just because you feel compelled to do something doesn’t mean it’s a smart thing to do or that it makes sense.

I’m 38/single and whenever any of my friends have kids I know our friendship is essentially over in a practical sense. It just doesn’t work because you’re living in completely different worlds and it’s hard to relate to one another. That and the fact that married people don’t have time to hangout anymore which is completely understandable. I can definitely relate to Anthony here. I’ve also noticed how in 99 percent of modern day marriages the wife calls all the shots so in turn most guys turn into a complete shell of their former selves. It’s unfortunate but what the christ. I was watching demolition Man the other night and Sandra Bullock mentioned how people in the future had to get a license and approval before they could have children, how wonderful would that be, have a good child isn't in accomplishment it means you know how to have sex without protection, in about 80% of the people who are having kids have too many and are terrible parents who shouldn't have been allowed to have children in the first place. I have VERY sensitive hearing and sense of smell....having a kid sounds like hell. I grew up with a younger brother (10 years apart) so I know what its like being around an infant. It sucks ass! Having kids doesnt fit my personality and I know Id have issues with any in-laws bc I saw how my grandparents treated my family and they were basically like Ant's ex mother in law. And no I wont applaud people that want kids bc its something you want to do! For me, Im a musician and songwriter. Not a lot of people can successfully produce music that could potentially be a hit in the music industry. My offspring is my art.

Tfw when you weren't ready to have a child the first time nor was then girlfriend of 3 months, both young and very aggressive after child that relationship flatlined, we were both young enough that our parents could on occasion allow us to go out and have something of a social life that ends badly on the 2 year mark,then six years later with the perfect girlfriend who I had just proposed,she falls pregnant just as we are getting ready to start a new life abroad, I thought we weren't ready when I found out and didn't worry as she said she wasn't the motherly type until she became pregnant, end of the day I have 2 lovely children and zero partners because she could barely wait six months after having our child to hitch up with someone else, because the life I offered wasn't what she wanted for her and her daughter even do it was fine when it was just my son from the other relationship living that life oh they change alright make sure you you don't get to attached if your young and having kids cos the she's going to duck straight off once the child is out because nobody else will look after her when she's pregnant and woman of the millennial persuasion are notorious for this more then any other age group of having children out of wedlock with one guy and subjecting the child to various other men confusing them altogether me being a male was very concerned about introducing my first child to anybody I was seeing, because I didn't want to let the kid down if it went sour and they had attachment which was the case and when the half sibling thing comes into play and you indoctrinate them into oh this is your sibling even do you have two different moms and this and that but when she left it wasn't just me she left I feel it for my first child he can barely look at my ex and his half sibling because for 2-3 years she was always there for him and a second mother despite my concerns, now he sees both of them for a half hour a week and is too shy and confused to care... Don't blame him take that as a cautionary tale, the pill had failed in both cases btw I used to believe that, more then likely it was they who failed to take the pill, so men of the ages of 22-34 beware because ive seen it and heard of my case repeated over and over again in so many couples
