To embrace "all experience" you must have some. After awhile, you see that some experiences are similar to others and can extrapolate to expand your sense of experience and simulate some of those which you have not experienced. In conclusion, you catalog what you know to use your knowledge in any number of unknown situations: in short, you *learn*.

When you come to the point in life when your not afraid of dying....only then will you start to live.
@rae05215 жыл бұрын
Hey, lion heart, that's not bad! My father used to say "Hell, you don't even know what's going on until you're 40." The fastest way to get over your fear of being dead is to eliminate organized religion from your life. NOTHING will screw up your ability to think rationally and logically about anything than the utter nonsense spewed forth from the pulpits of the nations. "Life after Death" - what a crock! Notice I said "fear of being dead" - that's NOT the same as getting over the "fear of dying." I believe it was Woody Allen who said “I'm not afraid of death; I just don't want to be there when it happens.” Me too. Being dead is a snap - just like being sound asleep - big deal. But GETTING DEAD is another story... if you're lucky you'll be hit by lightning, a bus or a bullet between the eyes. INSTANT DEATH bypassing all pain and suffering. But... lying in bed, full of drugs, for sometimes MONTHS slowly losing "it" - that's a form of TORTURE I refuse to have happen to me. If I ever get to this point at the end of the road, I'll find a way to END it myself.
@rae05215 жыл бұрын
@@lionheart9902 I fully agree - MILLIONS do. The same can be said about many ADDICTIONS. Believing in "God" alters the mind; but so does alcohol and many other drugs, recreational and prescription. @@forbleu Thank you for your intelligent response... and don't apologize for your "English" - it may not be perfect, but I've been speaking and writing it for almost 80 years and I'm a long way from perfect in English still. We all worship something and I agree that if choosing a "religion" makes life more comfortable for a person, then who am I to say they're wrong. However, for me, I worship the "natural" world that I can see, hear, touch, smell and otherwise experience. I cannot "believe" in an invisible "God/Creator" and cannot understand the concept that once we are born, live and die, we somehow will continue to "live." I might be wrong, of course. That's why I don't count myself among the "believers" nor the "atheists." I don't even agree with just labelling myself an "agnostic." I like the term I recently learned - POSSIBILITARIAN... meaning, to me, that because there is no evidence to confirm or deny the existence of "God," and because we humans know very little about ANYTHING... I think the only reasonable position to hold is there's a POSSIBILITY of a God and afterlife. I can live just fine without KNOWING one way or the other.

I had a stroke and was outside my body. I looked down and saw my body in the floor. No fear. No pain. Those feelings didn't occur to that being that I was. Those feelings are a survival mechanism of the bodies we inhabit now. There was no question. No figuring anything out. I just knew. It was like coming home after 500 years working abroad. The most powerful feeling of familiarity. I had no solid body. No physical. If I could describe what I was it was just the emotion "love". Child-like glee. Eternal warmth. This is what we truly are. This is what you were before you came here. It wasn't just me there. I was you. I was every atom that had ever existed in the physical realm. Most importantly, there was no fear. I used to be a very anxious person. Not any more. I know there is a plan. I know somehow we are projecting this physical reality ourselves. I don't know why. Bad things happen because this physical place needs to be balanced for some reason. We're all one being. We separate to come here to these bodies and it felt like the reason we find love so amazing is because it's our natural state before we come here to these bodies. I haven't explained everything but the original post surprised me. Its describing exactly what happened to me. Never give up. U chose to come here. We just can't remember for some reason. U chose to experience the bad AND the good. Trust the plan. Be good to others. Never Never give up

I'm a 72 year old grandpa...i have 3 sons. First son came when i was 40. Other 2 came at 42 and 44. I was born with something that carried me through my entire life, "work ethic". Work ethic has given me my life and still is! I've always made my boys help me, no matter what the task....even as little boys. Chores, working on cars, building things, fixing stuff, splitting and stacking wood, raking leaves, etc. One day my boys were bitching and they asked, dad, why do you work SO MUCH!!! My answer....because i LOVE IT, AND SO SHOULD YOU!!! Two years ago my oldest called me and told me that he'd never forgotten that day....and by the way, i now understand. I said What do you understand? He said, 90 % of the time, hard work and dedication ALWAYS give you gratification and gratitude. My response, 90%, I'd be happy with 70%. My gratitude....all 3 boys, 27, 29, and 32 are all very successful, have plenty of money, fairly happy and love to make fun of me and how they can now outwork me. A year ago i asked my youngest son how was his combat tour in Afghanistan. He was a flight medic. He said that the movie Black Hawk Down during the stressful combat scenes was a good description. I asked how'd you do? He said, "my work ethic is what got me through ". What a GLORIOUS reward!! And, knowing that he received 2 medals for carrying 2 wounded soldiers out of a combat area and getting them to the helicopter....which was about 300 yards away. Good luck...PTL.

5 yrs ago I had a stroke, which took away all use of my left side. As i lay cursing and blaming everyone and everything for the state I was in, a sudden thought came to me. I was never sure whether or not I believed in a God. but I decided to pray. I asked that all these negative feelings please be removed from me - and almost b4 I had finished asking, the most incredible feeling of peace came over me and remains to this day. I am now disabled and live my life from my wheelchair, but I am able to state, totally honestly, that I believe this was an immediate reply from God and yes, I now believe totally in His existence and yes, that He is the help of the helpless. Mind, I had a 'flu jab on the same day as my stroke and I DO blame that, but will anyone from the medical profession ever admit that THAT could be the case? I very much doubt it. PS. I now speak to God on a daily basis - and no, I don't think I've gone daft..

Sara, to assert that there is an ultimate truth of spirituality is, and then defined it as entirely subjective, is self-refuting and self-contradictory. Either there is an ultimate truth or it is entirely subjective, but if it is wholly and entirely subjective, then there really is no ultimate spiritual truth, as such a definition alludes to meaningless. Furthermore, to suggest that this form of spirituality came without influence is not only preposterous, naïve, and perhaps arrogant. Such is the westernized form of eastern spirituality, but it is not new, nor is it original.

Physical body returns to dust, but the Soul lives forever in heaven or hell, depending upon acceptance of Jesus as your Savior & going to heaven OR rejection of Jesus, meaning your soul will be in the Lake of Fire at the final Judgment.( Hell). I'm truly amazed at the millions of people who are so ignorant as to what happens after we die, that the Soul lives Forever!!! Get right with God, you only have this life to make the most important decision you will ever make. God gave us Free Will, so it's up to each of us to choose, Jesus or Satan. And, the Soul is fully conscious no matter where you end up, the glorious & beautiful heaven or the agonizing horrors of hell, remember, your choice. 🙏🙏🙏♥️✝️✝️✝️✝️

It doesn't matter how smart someone appears to be, it is always difficult to find the right words to explain the seemingly unexplainable. But if that someone is famous and successful (in our arguably definition of success),we are always incline to listen and pay mode attention to their words. We easily allow ourself to be inspired by their lives. Hell and Heaven are two rooms located in the same building called consciousness. The classroom and the recreational room. Light and darkness are brother and sister. In unity the form the perfect team for the essence of creation. God is the Divine result of timeless evolvement of energy in existence. Somewhat relatively easy to understand the concept of it ...quite challenging to explain the complexity of it all! Great words Mr Hopkins. It's time. 💫⚡💞🌎💞⚡💫
