This is one of his best sets. I can almost never predict his punchline. I wouldn't be surprised if he writes some of his jokes backwards. Starting with the punchline and then building the premise afterwards. The kid in Africa joke is one of the best.

He doesn't actually. Watched a podcast with whitney cummings and he said he starts with the premise and just finds the twist to it. He also has a notebook he uses but whatever goes in there will essentially die there because he never goes back to it. He's pretty proud of his craft and takes it seriously which makes everything better. He also said he always shrinks his jokes to just the needed amount of words because he would never go on stage and do crowdwork on people's time since they paid to see him. His work ethic is on point. Sorry, I'm fangirling, been waiting for this video lol

Jeselnik is the king of misdirection. Every time you think you know where he's going with his setup he yanks the rug from under your feet. His laid-back delivery is another reason why it works so well. You get sucked into the build-up of his story and unconsciously let your guard down. Then, BOOM!

Please make reaction to Diana Ankudinova - the most unique young talented singer. (rarest contralto with polyphonic overtones) One of my favourite things to find and enjoy is music that gives me chills and goosebumps. I was cruising KZbin recently and discovered a Russian talent show contestant that did just that, with one of the best, most unique voices I've heard in many years. Her delivery was nothing short of magical and I searched out more and more and more, and...more chills. I was stunned to find that the first performance I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 18 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English and Arabic. The covers she performed on that show are very popular on KZbin. Many KZbinrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Take On Me" and others. Please react to one of Diana's songs and I promise she will surprise you.

To put it in American sports terms, Jeselnik sets up the joke and no matter how good you are at predicting where he might go (if you even have any idea at all... other than it's likely to be dark & twisted!) he's like a good wide receiver in the NFL and 'Dekes you out' nearly every time! :)
