One thing that I really dislike about heavyweight boxing is how out of shape "professional" boxers get Ruiz vs AJ was supposed to be the pinnacle of the division one of the biggest fights in recent times and Ruiz comes in "fat" and out of shape, imigine a footballer, tennis player or any other sports professional entering a pinnacle event like a world cup final fat and out of shape then actually use this as a excuse when they lose

You were spot on about what AJ should do, and AJ mainly did what you advised. Ruiz does have poor head movement at range and comes in too straight up, doesn't bend enough at the waist, and his footwork is too slow. Ruiz does need to work on his boxing technique and his disgraceful physical condition, coming in way too fat, should be fighting at about 245 pounds. Came into the ring close to 300 pounds, even put on about 10 pounds more then his obese 283 pounds at the weigh In the day before, unbelievable.

I think Andy Ruiz is a bad matchup for deontay wilder. He’s got an iron jaw, faster hands and better combinations. Wilder doesn’t run, he will be a stationary target for Ruiz and I’m not sure how he would do under the pressure and body shots. If Ruiz can focus on negating that right hand then I’m sure he can win. Imo it might be more beneficial for Ruiz to come in heavy for wilder aswell. To increase his punch resistance and power
@mdizzle70345 жыл бұрын
If AJ boxes the same way against Wilder he wins easily. Ortiz's small movements and steps to the side gave Wilders all sorts of problems. He simply can't deal with guys that move around. The second Ortiz gassed out and stopped the small steps to the side he got ko'd. When Fury gassed and slowed down against Wilder he got ko'd. AJ's stamina looked very good last night.
