Thanks for covering these AK rounds. Truly amazing how much talent he possesses, this round just proves it again. The broadcast mentioned he didn’t own clubs a long portion of the 12 years away and he also broke his ankle just last year jumping over a creek while initially trying to start his comeback. No clue what his ceiling is now but I can’t wait for him to tell his redemption story, some people on socials will put him down but the real ones are glad he’s back and support him and his journey

Hands down the wisest and kindest KZbin golf video of the year. I didn’t know AK as I got into golf during his time out but I’m hooked. And your “two products for two audiences” story is spot on. I love both, some love one. That would be celebrated in most cases and it should be here. Great job

Liv is a great product. Problem with PGA is it’s American centric. News flash, USA is not the centre of the world. As an Aussie I love that Liv takes golf stars globally and new audiences get to experience high level golf, and maybe inspire the next generation to take up golf instead of another sport. Let’s go !

Yes, that wrap around all year round tour really took away the stars from going down under to play the signature events. As an Aussie living in Hong Kong, appreciate that LIV brought the best ever quality field to hong Kong shores. I miss the signature events in Australia. Especially the Australian Masters at Huntingdale (the tradition continues, not any longer unfortunately).

Remember PGA already think they are a world tour. World in America means inside The USA. They have the World Series baseball open to…… and NBA finals winners are known as world champions also. The world doesn’t exist outside the states as proven by just the wording of these 2 sports

Gotta be honest. After seeing him last week and the first day of HK, I thought he was washed up and would be out FOR SURE at the end of the season. Now I'm not so sure. If he puts in some solid rounds, he may make enough LIV points to secure his place for next year. Maybe even do something even more special...

I think Phil Michelson purposely played a certain way to be in that last group. I know Phil hasn't been playing well, but I think it's because he's the ambassador of that tour and wanted to boost AK's energy and familiarity. AK has history with Phil, and those days, he was out on tour, so that helped, I'm sure.

I actually thought his putting game would suffer when he came back but he's one of the best out there right now. As far as LIV/PGA Tour situation goes - in order to bump up the sagging interest in golf (I know this would only widen the divide between the 2 sides....but...) the powers that be need to organize a Ryder Cup type match between the LIV and the PGA Tour. Their best 12 against the PGA Tour's best 12 - I'd love to see it...

I LUV AK and appreciate you covering his comeback Matt. Dude is a stud, fun to watch play. Folks need to lower expectations because Golf is hard. Competitive golf is ridiculously hard. AK's only problem is off the tee. Once he cleans that up watch out. His short game is already really good. Sand play is excellent (has had a lot of practice) and his putting is lights out great. He is just rusty off the tee that's all. As for the PGA vs LIV. It's over. The PGAT and DP World Tour are qualifiers for LIV Golf, which is the big show now. I enjoyed watching LIV over the API this weekend.

There was never just one pro tour...back in the day Japan, Australia and Sth Africa had strong tours,,,and of course Euro tour....PGAT has tried to make all tour feeder tours to US, but LIV stopped the monopoly....so it nots much different to way it used to be...PGAT bannings and OWGR corruption is how they reacted..

Changing the game for better or worse? I’ve watched professional golf for a long time and the reason I liked it so much is because they had to go out and earn their keep. It wasn’t given to them like every other sport. Liv is trying to make golf like every other sport and these players are paid ridiculous amounts of money before they even tee it up. Professional golf is in shambles and I think a lot of people are tuning out to all of it. But to each their own, just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents.

@chuddy06 it opens up their spot on the PGA Tour. The PGA Tour is paying more to the golfers as well now because of LIV. LIV players are really boosting other tours like the Asian tour which is good for golf. It's a growing game world wide now and tons of talent. Last point LIV bringing in some awesome young talent it's not just "old guys"... If you don't like LIV that's cool don't watch it or follow it. It's really that simple. I love the format and think it's fantastic for golf. The PGA has changed its format in the past from match play to stroke play and people were saying the PGA were ruining golf then as well. This isn't the first time golf is evolving and the pots been stirred.

I thought this was a pretty good event and a great finish. Courses like this are both rewarding and punishing and it actually makes it fun to watch because ancer was for all money going to win at the start of the day but then the field caught up and he fell back a little aswell but then showed he was a deserving champ by birdieing the playoff hole after the other 2 made bogeys. Paul Casey made a great late charge to get onto the playoff. This just shows you don’t have to have a course that’s super long, these courses require more precision and strategy to play them well

Loved the course and the locals were appreciative of having major league golf in their city. Seeing glimpses of AK's former self was a thing of beauty. We have a course about an hour from me here around Pittsburgh, it's called Grandview G.C and it's only 6000 from the tips, but it's a super tight course and has some hole punch cut out greens and a lot of people don't like it because it'll make you feel like a beginner if you don't bring your a game, but I love courses like that. Another course that was my favorite was blackmoor in wintersville Ohio but I closed a couple years ago. It was 7100 from the tips, super tight, glass greens, but playing that course is what got me to the level I was playing at at the time. Then life got in the way, I didn't play for 5-6 years, finally dusted off my clubs last summer, and was like I was starting back at 15 again. That being said I went from high 90's back to the mid to high 80's in one season. This year I'm determined to make it back into the 70's. 👍💪

wow on a 6700 yard course, that is a pitch and putt for these guys. half the Korn Ferry tour would destroy that course

Short doesn't mean it's easy to score 60s.

his face changed a lot in 12 years... i haven't seen that much wear on any of my 45 year old Asian friends faces. I'm sure he's happy just to be alive and his words are telling us that right now. I'm here for THE COMEBACK!

It's pretty wild, he doesn't even look like the same person. I hope he makes a netflix special of what happened.

Although I'm rooting for AK I didnt exactly agree with your prediction he'd go under par today and was I wrong! -5 today is the 3rd best score in the entire field! Anyway right after watching the regular coverage I really looked forward to your post game commentary so please keep it coming. Hope you can find a way to cover also the Macau open where AK along with a lot of Liv players are joining as well. Do you think a team will sign AK next year? What's your prediction on that?

Another great video. Like what your saying but man AKs best round. You could have given the speech after and did a little more commentating through out. But I get it you were super excited...awesome to see. Thanks again for the AK coverage. Hope you keep it up.
