Mackie is the best! A few years ago I was on the NYC subway traveling through midtown from work and Mackie was in the same subway car. It was packed so he, I and a bunch of people didn't have seats. He was crouched in the corner with some papers. I'm guessing a script. No one seemed to recognize him but I sure did. At some point he looked up and we made eye contact. I smiled, he smiled back and gave me the "brother " head nod. It was cool and he got off shortly after. 🙂

But if Doctor Doom's mask falls off while Spidey's fighting him, he'd definitely have the biggest shock of his life & would let his guard down, completely unaware that it's not the real Tony Stark. Let's be clear. The Russos introduced the character as VICTOR VON DOOM. Not as a Tony Stark variant who is a bad guy and takes the name "Doctor Doom." The Russos introduced Victor Von Doom as the following... 1) as the most important character of SECRET WARS (either Shooter's 1984 version or the 2015 Jonathan Hickman's version, that is just undeniable basic reading comprehension). Please note: NOT the most important VILLAIN of SECRET WARS (yes, he is that too). But the most important, most ESSENTIAL character. Essential as in you CAN'T make this story without Doom. 2) as PERHAPS THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER in all of Marvel. Note: not just the most important or greatest supervillain of Marvel (he is that too, btw). 3) as one the most complex and entertaining characters in ALL of fiction. One of Doom's many skills is his ability (learned from the Ovoid alien race) to switch minds. Perhaps they will explain that the real Doctor Doom found a Stark-variant (maybe a missing Illuminati member from Earth 838?) and switched minds... but if you have seen DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE, then you know that they need not rely on that device.
