Mundine wow when I was 17-18 my ex bf owned a limo company he surprised me to 1 of mundines fights in Wollongong backstage & all. It was the happiest girl in the world I had no idea we were driving Anthony Mundine back to Sydney in the limo , we all sat in the back his hands were in the ice bucket & he was sooo humble . He Was so lovely spoke so respectful to me , told my bf to respect me & treat me well ,I was screaming inside to have such a respected man in front of me , 17 year old me it was the best day ever . I’m 38 now & I can still say that was one of my best days to remember such a great Man ! Much respect ✊ to you both 💕 Thankyou Spanian

Always been a Mundine fan I remember as a child watching him do the backflips after scoring tries he was a freak. I’ve always been team Mundine even if I was the only person in the room barracking for Anthony Mundine. I think Aussies hated seeing an indigenous brother succeeding on the world stage. Always had a bit of a negative vibe with Mundine, but I was wrong, it must have been the news I was reading too much at those times, now having listened to him calmly explain his life story, I feel embarrassed and guilty of not supporting him more in his boxing career, I guess I also was upset still a little bit in the back of my mind that he left the nrl, as he was the most fun to watch on the footy field on every aspect. What a winner, what a great role model, one of the best footballers ever to be walking this earth. I did some work at his house for a few days as my boss at the time went to school with Anthony,at the time i didnt really like him that much,but i met he's wife and kids,you wouldn't find a more down to earth family,he's children were respectful, he's wife was wonderfull,then i met him on the last day i was there and i was blown away,thanked me for what I'd done,shook my hand,admittedly very softly cause of he's sore hands,it totally changed my view on him,very humble man,i told my local pizza man about it,he told me a story where Anthony walked into pizza league and shook all the kids hands,pictures,autographs, the lot,such a beautiful human being

Anthony Mundine was never given the full opportunity to exhibit and use all of his talent and potential throughout his career due to his strong opinions in pointing out the "elephant in the room" subjects that politicians were even afraid to speak of. The MSM and the sporting authority, under instruction of the "system" just hammered him relentlessly from every angle possible that failed miserably due to Mundines passion, perseverance and mindset, instead of embracing him which I think was detrimental to all sport loving Australians He defied every stereotypical conditioning, bigotry and prejudice with all odds stacked against him to be a success story well deserved. I have no doubt Mundine would have been knighted, or given a few kind of prestige orders if he was from a white christian background imo.
