I’m biased as Colts fan, but at the same time, I know when a QB has IT, and AR has IT. He’s not polished by any means, he still has to improve on his accuracy and for sure he needs to work on his touch but man he has superstar written all over him. And he’s not just a freak athlete playing QB. His pocket presence is genuinely elite, he’s not a 1 read and run QB, he goes through his progressions and when he starts to take off, he keeps his eyes up to see if a throw opens up. Like these are things that box score watchers don’t see and it annoys me so much when people only bring up the completion percentage. Just watch the entire game and you can see he passes the eye test. To me he has the arm of a Josh Allen with the legs of a Cam Newton but he’s also somehow faster than Cam was. Add on the fact that he’s a very quick learner with the PERFECT HC to develop him, the ceiling for him is limitless.
@zeusmith1 Жыл бұрын
100% agree. I thought AR should have been the #1 overall pick, but even Im surprised by how good he looks right away. Knew he has the arm and could actually make progression reads. But damn, he looks like he can be elite.

His arm is next-level. Indy has never had an arm like this that I recall (with this much velocity). If that arm gets dialed in (and it's not that far off), it's going to be scary. In practice, the Receiver's coaches need to dial-up the football throwing machines another few notches.

Shane Steichen runs a lot of RPO when he was with us as the OC for the Philadelphia Eagles last year and if you watch the highlights most of the run options or pass options in the Goal are RPO's it is easier for Anthony Richardson to score touchdowns when he is running or using the same pass options that where used with Philadelphia Eagles with Jalen Hurts you see the films last year and compare that with the film with Anthony Richardson it is the same It's also tough on the defense because these are quick-hitting plays especially when they’re passes. Shane Steichen is a mastermind when it comes to quick read options passes their O line Quenton Nelson plays a big factor in RPO it allows AR to Run lose and free under the skim of manipulating defense's making it hard to Stop a QB when is able to gain more than 20 per yards compare that with Eagles running that paly it works every time and it is unstoppable because there are many read options to run when looking at who is getting the ball before the snap it is a Masterpiece when Shane Steichen is able to run that play with a versatile Quarterback

AR is hitting him in his hands on multiple occasions every game on 50/50 balls and he's just dropping them. It's literally the reason he was drafted. He was a 50/50 guy in College and a deep threat, and honestly, he made those 50/50 more like a 65/35 in College. Pierce, my guy, please, just catch it. You were great at it, so what happened? Jt is back as well. This offense is going to be very fun to watch. They really need a true WR1 though. Pittman is a great WR 2. Kinda like Gabe Davis to Diggs.

after checking this game's highlights, it was EXACTLY like the jets / chiefs game -- jets started slow, then their offense started clicking, but came up short 23 - 20. if the jets had moved the ball from the beginning, they would have won that game. so just like in that game, i think if the colts would have started this game moving the ball, they would have won this game

Maybe an idea for the future, JT. Matthew Stafford film was awesome to watch but you can obviously only go through so much tape. What if you picked one game to do both QBs? Switch back and forth between the two.

83 Kylen Granson is a really good route runner and has good hands, a mismatch for most guarding him
