In regards to mass deportation, this quote circulating on social media comes to mind: The people making $700 an hour have convinced the people making $25 an hour that the people making $7.50 an hour are the problem.

People who earn 25 dollars an hour want to earn 700 dollars... On that basis, they can be convinced of anything. Especially since they've been brainwashed into believing that 100% of Americans can make it. Everyone will be rich and no one will work.

$700/hr * 2000 hr/yr = $1,400,000/yr. That’s peanuts compared to a CEO’s salary. Try $7,000/hr.

Thank you, Mr. Scaramucci. Finally, someone with authority on the subject. The government should NEVER be run like a business. A simple explanation….A business is in business to make money. Government exists to govern a society through laws etc. that allow people of that society to proceed. Hope never to hear again how America “should be run like a business.” It’s apples and oranges.

@Yppengasse28 Narcissists don't know how to change. They can't. They've been raised to be tough, killers, bullies -- all of which they're not. They get others to do the dirty work of being tough, killing or bullying. Their ego is shriveled & fragile. They need to be bowed down to, obeyed, and have their feet kissed. They don't know how to be empathetic, how to love. Sadistic, malignant narcissistic- danger to others. To save themselves, they bring the world down and themselves. They blame others, never themselves, can be charming & beguiling. They throw and break things and can harm others who are weaker and smaller than they are. They demand absolute loyalty. It's a sad situation and incurable.

Diamandis isn't a politician or someone who plays in the political space. Scaramucci is. Which is why what he does is important. He's a key player in the pro-democracy space for communicating with the business and entrepreneurial community - folk who are often quite smart but who are just too busy to be politically engaged. And these are folk often ask really good questions, and will dismiss you if you don't give them good answers.

I'm glad Scaramucci explained budget reality to you guys. The military, SS, and Medicare are the only places you could possibly cut the needed numbers. The better idea is to tax wealth...not to penalize the rich...just enough to stop the economy from collapsing. Remember, non-defense discretionary spending and cutting regulation will only get you an order of magnitude less of savings than you need.

No way Trump will deport PhD's. He's and Ahole but he isn't completely stupid. He is a racist and he sees farm workers, service people, et al as vermin. He's made them into monsters but it's politics. Homeland security has and always will go after the violent criminals expecting the US to be a place to hide. They rounded up thousands under Garlaand and deported them. Them media ignored it. It's all BS and a successful campaign that the country is rife with immigrant criminals. Trump knows it's BS but it worked politically. Aren't you fn tired of being manipulated? I'm sick to death of stupid people who believe everything their told that causes them fear and anxiety (bs that doesn't exist). Exactly, in the case of social security and Medicare you're taking it out of the hands of senior citizens who have paid into the system for years and who will most likely spend it on their own survival or basic dignity. Generally, poor ppl put money right back into the economy, rich ppl sequester it into places to escape taxation through clever accounting creating stagnation and lack of opportunity for the vast majority of the country.

It is the exact opposite of what you say. The only people who would be there would be people who are doing it for the public good. As you say "independently wealthy who can devote 80 hours a week at no pay". If you can give your time and life away to cut back the massive bureaucracy, and have most of those people and leftists hate you, but you are doing to save the younger generations from poverty under the debt of the US Gov...You aren't doing this for yourself, you are doing it for your country and for the younger generations. Personal good would be people who are doing it to gain money, power, land. You know like bureaucrats or Larry Fink.

I am so sorry to hear Peter say some of these things. He really does not appreciate what Scaramucci is trying to to say...and the tremendously corrosive effect the promised Trump immigration action will have on the American dream. You cannot, for example, create any law, policy or penalty for smart Indians who get degrees at prestigious American universities and decide to return home. And there is very little correlation between the families of those students and the criminals who come to the US to commit violent crimes other than they are all immigrants.

The reason why America and the free world prospered after ww2 was because America gave security and trade security guarantees to Western European countries and all the other countries that are aligned with America, and the west , and in return they aligned with Americas interests and later agreed to use the dollar as the primary currency…. So if America decides to not honor its obligations or becomes incapable of honoring those obligations then America and the dollar and the world order and economy will crash , which is kind of what we’re in the middle of right now and unless American people and politicians understand this it’s going to be over for America, we can not be isolationist and prosper because American prosperity isn’t just powered domestically

If we Americans don’t realize and step up soon the world is gonna regress back to the dark ages and slavery and imperialism, we’re gonna go back to the days before The French and American revolutions happened

Often it is a madhouse. You need really skillful people. And I don't know if you can just take a scalpel to whole parts of the government without some degree of chaos. It takes time. And money.
