Dr Chaffee is the best! 58 y/o female. 7 months carnivore starting up powerlifting- first competition will be in 6 months. It’s hard to believe how sick I was and how healthy I am now. Dr Chaffee’s message is so clear and motivating. I’m never confused and always smarter after listening to the good doctor. The message is spreading, everyone in my life is intrigued and some have already converted. I think they have all been waiting for permission to eat a good steak.

Been carnivore a year and back in the gym for 7 week. I'm 47 years old and my body is changing soooo fast, I've been asked if I'm on trt! The rate at which my body is changing is ridiculous... And the only thing cutting my sessions short is my schedule. I generally train for an hour but I have the same intensity at the end as I had at the start. Carnivore is the ONLY way to get big quick when not taking PED's.
@TechTeam713
@TechTeam713 Ай бұрын
My experience is different... carnivore diet definitely works for weight loss, but as gains are concerned it didn't work for me, as I lost too much weight too fast and made me look skinny...used to go to the gym 5 times a week...so I ended up looking lean but in the eyes of others either skinny or looking I'll as I lost that much weight
@stevelauder1976
@stevelauder1976 Ай бұрын
@@TechTeam713 Sorry... Late back to the party. Potentially it's water retention. For every 1g of carbs you usually eat, your body needs 3ml of water. If you've been training a long time my guess is you're on 3000-4000 calories per day? Significant carbs? If so, your muscles would also be nicely plump with water. I guess the benefit for me is in already being carnivore. My water weight, fat (etc) went away some time ago, so the contrast is easily measured. If you were already big, I guess it's going to be a different impact, and one you may not be too happy with in the first instance

Can confirm! I built virtually all my muscle originally on a cyclical keto diet and have been carnivore for the last 6 years now (strict for the last 2.5). Started training at 15, 5'10" 150lbs, put on a little muscle in high school, and then started keto in college and boosted up to 200lbs within a couple years and have been getting leaner, stronger, and more athletic every single year ever since. I'm 33 now and still 200lbs but can bench 100lbs more than when I was in college, squat 200lbs more, and deadlift 300lbs more, plus I'm leaner than ever on carnivore and getting leaner and stronger every day! And I can even do Olympic lifts now too (which I was never athletic/flexible enough to do even at my peak in college) and all of the chronic pains and joint issues and back issues I used to have disappeared completely 🙌💪

My hair did that for months but now it's all grown back even fuller and thicker on carnivore! Wrapping my hair tie only twice instead of three times is also proof! 😂 Why not try the tallow on your scalp and hair a few times a month to deeply moisturize? I used a little once to heal a few areas that reacted to my hair dresser rubbing some kind of herbal crap in it without asking me. It was so itchy and dry for two weeks after until I figured out why! Then with only a few applications of the tallow it healed. 😂

I'm basing this on myself. My optimal has been fatty red beef, predominantly rib eye. Adding extra fat generally slows the process of fat burn or getting ripped. Usually once a week I eat kangaroo cooked in beef tallow. I don't add extra tallow or butter. So when I record this into macro counting app it indicates usually my protein intake is slightly higher (occasionally double of fat intake). Only reason I use this app is to control carb intake for days where i may divert off my lion diet.

@@c.j.howard2857 that was to accommodate his vegetarian readers, doesn't mean he wholly advocated it. The point, just in case you needed it pointing out, is that he believed in a carnivore diet in order to repair muscle after a workout 🙂

@@neilmercer2508 Actually that wasn’t to accommodate his vegetarian readers. He only advocated it for 5 day periods, not long term, and he used it himself. Gironda also advised against his steak & eggs diet or hormone precursor diet (AKA 36 eggs a day) for long periods of time. Furthermore, even in his steak & eggs layout he had a carbohydrate meal every 3-5 days of STRICTLY carbohydrates, no added protein or fat. The ideal example he gives was a meal of spaghetti noodles with tomato sauce. Doesn’t sound carnivore to me. And where I take umbrage with Chaffee, is that he has claimed multiple times in multiple videos that Vince Gironda basically just ate steak & eggs and on the 5th day he just ate “whatever”, but this couldn’t be further from the truth and simply shows that Chaffee hasn’t actually read Vince’s work.

55 and always been a lifter. Also was always roughly Atkins school of thought for 20+ years. I know , carbs right😂. But after multiple surgeries and getting fat I decided to carnivore. Lost 80 pounds and now lean as ever without even working out. Mind you I have/had a strong muscle base. So , just started lifting again and I am pissed😂. The muscle is stacking on noticeably fast. Faster than in my 20-30’s. No slow, stiff recovery days etc. and at 55. Only wish I hadn’t stretched my skin while fat for a couple years, but it seems to be getting tighter and tighter so all in all happy. I can take loose skin for the obvious health benefits I am seeing.

It's not just the easy muscle gains, it's the stamina too. I am a powerlifter and I was really worried when I switched to this diet that I wouldn't have the stamina primarily due to a lack of carbs, but I feel like I have more. My workouts have increased to 2 hours (lots of it is practicing form) and I have no issues getting through it. The hunger signals are probably the weirdest thing to me, I never really feel hungry like I used too so now I just eat when I think I should (morning, after workout etc) and he's right, either you are going to find 1 steak isn't enough or half a steak or some eggs or something are a chore to get down because you just don't have the appetite and that is when I stop. Fascinating nutrition really, so much better than wanting to eat my whole pantry multiple times a day.

I lost weight before in my late mid 40's but I was drinking like 4 to 6 l of ice water a day and just eating regularly, with body weight workouts only. With that said, I haven't lost any weight as of yet this time and it's about a decade from those original results. I've was a heavy Pepsi addict for the past 40 years. For now I think I'm just going through some body recomposition?! I'm not worried about the weight loss so much for now, I know that I will come. What I am worried about a health issue that may or may not be not be a result of the diet itself?! After about a month month-and-a-half I started breaking out in hives and itchy all over my limbs and torso I saw a video you did on oxalates, however, I don't believe that's what this is?! I have a doctors appointment next week but I don't know as if that's going to shed any light on the situation?! Any ideas!?

I eat about 1½ lbs of ground beef a day (5% fat content) which is very enjoyable, but I hear reference to those on carnivore eating fatty beef instead? I’ll have lost my excess weight soon and could go into ‘maintenance’ rather than ‘loss’ mode, but my understanding of fatty beef etc, was that the fat was where Omega 6 is stored, most commercial beef being corn-fed etc. What is the advantage of eating fatty beef, and won’t I dose up on Omega 6 as a result?
