A habit I've had since I was a little kid that everyone thinks is strange is that I never drink when I eat, no matter what I was eating. Growing up on a cattle ranch I've pretty much always been a hyper carnivore but for the past 4 years I've entirely eliminated plant foods & all I eat now that isn't meat is dairy & eggs. I'm 43, my 23 year old daughter is expecting my first grand child in January, and not a single person I tell that to believes I'm that old since I look like I'm in my early 30s. Most of my ancestral relatives live into the triple digits, the majority of them being ranchers & farmers, & the striking characteristic of them all is their incredible cognitive abilities even at 100+ years old. My grandpa died in 2019 at 87 years old & he was the youngest in his family ever to die. He was a boxer in his 20s & 30s, back in the 1950s, and we're told that's very likely why he developed hydrocephalus in his 80s which made it so he could no longer communicate, eat properly, or accomplish the simplest of motor skills. His older brother died earlier this year at 103 years old. His mom was 104 and his dad lived to 99. Something that is prevalent with the women on my mom's side of the family, including my daughter, is gluten intolerance. So they never eat any grains/breads etc. as it negatively affects their thyroids. It's hard for some people to accept because of the incredible brain washing that's occurred for decades, but we're absolutely unequivocally obligate carnivores.

I'm sure it's all that clean living that ranchers benefit from. Outdoors, hard work therefore exercise, and clean nutrition! It doesn't get any better and congratulations on your family lineage! Something to be celebrated! 🙂🇨🇦

@@bonsummers2657 Nothing other than an occasional wine/beer. My dad's side of the family though...lots of drinkers, & my dad's father died at 67 from emphysema because he smoked 3 packs of unfiltered Pall Malls a day from his days in WWII til the day he died. My dad is 71, was a functional alcoholic until he retired so he could be a full-time alcoholic lol. His health has caused him to slow it down a bit but the contrast of family that take care of themselves & those that abuse substances is as clear as it gets.

I've heard the 'don't dilute your stomach acid' from 3 other sources, the first being chemistry class back in the early 80's where we watched a high-tech film of a camera view in someone's stomach. There was almost no bubbling when the person had full strength stomach acid, and then when water was imbibed, there was a lot of bubbling, and the lesson was that having fluids with meals interfered with digestion, and made you burp, which forced acid up into the throat where it did damage.

Recently in the Uk there has been an E-Coli outbreak it has killed at least one person , they tracked it to lettuce in sandwiches. When thirsty, water gets absorbed directly from the stomach lining almost as fast as we drink it. Food on the other hand stays in stomach much longer as it gets broken down in stomach with acids and muscular contraction churning and then gets absorbed in small intestine. So moderate water consumption likely doesn’t raise ph of stomach significantly.

Dr Chaffee, i hope you can give me an answer. I went for blood tests on July 5, my ldl was outrageous. I live in Canada and ourtests are different than in the US. I do not know how to convert to an American reading. My ldl came in at 679 and the high point of normal is 300. I have read as well as heard from several people that the amount of cholestrol in the blood does not relate to heart disease. I have been ketovore for 162 days as of my test. I only have 30-35 gms of avocado mixed with 1/4 can of salmon and a garlic clove. I stir it together to make a bit of salad type thing. I have beem ketogenic for 7 year before starting to increase my protein. I never ate very much protein back then. Dr Eric Berg always said a serving size should be 3-6 oz. I was OMAD for 7 years, and still am. It is hard to eat more food but I am trying. However getting the verdict of my ldl I am worried about eating more. What is your opinion.

On top of what has already been posted while you figure out what is causing the issue a possible alternative to antihistamines is drinking a little bit of raw milk3 to 4 times a day. If you're lactose intolerant of course this is not an option but otherwise my father and I have solved our histamines issues with raw milk. In fact it even works on my cat who has eye allergies. Take into consideration that milk does have around 5% carbs so don't drink too much of it, I tend to drink a small quarter of a liter per day divided in 4 portions, this gives me around 10 grams of carbs total per day in small enough doses (2.5 g) that it doesn't raise my blood glucose or kick me out of ketosis. However we all react differently so be mindful of this possible issue. I also wouldn't recommend this to someone with carb addiction because milk can be addictive quite easily and it does have carbs that could bring back cravings. Oh and the reason why I suggest switching from meds to milk is that the antihistamine meds are very very bad for liver and kidney so taken daily for a long period of time they're going to make some damage.

@JezaGaia
@JezaGaia 11 күн бұрын
@@jax9349 I would have said so but oxalate dumping doesn't react to antihistamines. I have histamine issues and I know that egg whites are touch and go but most than anything matured meat is not my friend. I managed to find a butcher who sells it to me as fresh as possible and I freeze it immediately to prevent histamine buildup. However my biggest issues are from things I can't control like perfumes, chemicals in most cleaning products and also gas (the one you put in cars is that the correct name, sorry I'm french :p) and while I can be mindful of what I use at home I can't control what is used everywhere else so I take my raw milk and always have some antihistamines on me in case of a big reaction.

You need to take apple cider vinegar before you eat. Heartburn happens from not having enough stomach acid to close the sphincter at the top of the stomach. That allows the burning feeling.

While it is true that the pH of the stomach in humans is generally similar to that of many carnivorous animals, our gastric pH ranges from 1.5 to 3.5 when fasting and is NOT among the lowest in nature. Typical carnivorous animal such as lions can often consume bones along with meat, which humans cannot do given our level of stomach acidity. Our stomach acid is strong enough to break down cartilage and smaller, softer bones, but not larger, denser bones. In contrast, animals like hyenas, vultures, and some large cats have a much lower stomach pH (as low as 1.0 and even lower) and more robust digestive systems specifically designed to handle bones.
