They should also add a new powerful Noise Reduction AI so we don’t need to rely on 3rd party plugins and deal with that step on our workflow. It’s strange how a big company like adobe doesn’t have their own version yet. As a micro 4/3 user I really hope they add that in future updates.

I'm pretty confident that the real reason why the product is being released on October 26 and not sooner is that that's the first day of Adobe MAX, the annual conference during which the biggest updates to their products are typically released.

Great news! I would love to see them add HSL/Tone curves adjustments within a mask. I've never had much luck using the Hue slider adjustment while using the Mask adjustments. Maybe need more practice.

The next Lightroom that the consumers need are: 1. Easy delete as in Ps; 2. Sunrays and lights effect; 3. Powerful Noise Reduction; 4. Better Sharpen the image. These would be perfect for this moment.

This is fantastic! This is a serious upgrade! I just wish for one more feature change... Auto Tone limiters...ie. Customizable limits to parameters the "Auto" button will adjust on images...example: Saturation/Vibrance limit of 5 or even 0 or limit shadow adjustment limit to 20. I am sure you will understand what I mean and the value of such.

This concerns me as an older user of LRC. It is difficult to take on new things as you get older and thats what frightens me about this. I dont like the new interface I wish they could have kept elements of the old one and added this new feature as an addition rather than changing the interface entirely. Its a bit like the colour wheels, I dont understand them and wish they'd never changed them. They frighten me and therefore I dont use them. And before the trolls pitch up and start making negative comments this is coming to you all at some point or other in your life!

Anthony you got me so excited! I thought for a minute that Adobe had finally achieved the big breakthrough and finally after all these difficult, frustrating, years it would no longer be necessary for the photographer to even be there to take the photo! Am I the only one left who believes that the "process" of finding the right subject, the right background, the right light, and the right moment is an essential ingredient of satisfying photography? When every aspect of image making can be "faked," "modified," and "improved on" in post processing the ultimate challenge of making worthwhile photos is damaged. We are already awash in doctored images. Getting people to even look at a great image is becoming ever more difficult as technology makes it easier and easier to manufacture photos that never existed in real life. All that's really left to do is make it unnecessary for the photographer to even be there...I can hardly wait!

They'll never implement a layer system, will they? Camera Raw at least should be able to show the under layers and over layers and turn them on and off and make adjustments to each layer. It's crazy that they don't do this to me.

Another great video! They just keep coming! 👍🏻 Will there be any ‘feathering’ of the selection or the ability just to target a small area of the image such as with the radial filter e.g. to add light to an area in a landscape, but not necessarily a subject?

Given the lack of precision of the “select subject” in Photoshop, particularly against busier backgrounds, I don’t think this will save me from going to PS. Using a brush to fine tune selections doesn’t seem very precise. Hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised..

This is exactly my concern. I have the Topaz AI Sharpen running on a 2013 imac with 32 GB of RAM. I can go have a shower and come back before the file is processed. There too, with each update the performance suffers. Right now I am running the old stand alone LR6.14. I am most reluctant to upgrade it, and for the love of god I can not afford the latest megabox macs just to run a few photo processing applications.

I edit 61MP A7RIV raw files on a basic Macbook air M1 8GM ram flawlessly. Performance is fine, well on the M1 that is :) But yes is sucks on Intel
