All that picture taking and FaceTime-ing sounds great. HOWEVER, I had one man trick me with all that and another man trick his fiancé (whom I knew nothing about) with that as well. I would get pictures and videos of his whereabouts only to find out he was doing the exact same thing with another woman. The last guy (a celebrity to boot) would leave me to do things like grab me a Starbucks or have a quick meeting, get the car so I didn’t have to walk far etc… but, come to find out that in those moments he’d be FaceTime-ing his fiancé. Both of these ladies and I had no clue about the other. People can be real slick with the “honesty”. Heart breaking, really.

Great video, A month ago, my five-year relationship came to an end. I really can't stop thinking about the love of my life, who made the decision to leave me. I've done everything in my power to win him back, but it's all in vain, and I can't imagine my life with anyone else. I genuinely miss him and just can't stop thinking about him, even though I've tried my hardest to stop thinking about him. I'm not sure why I'm saying this here.

Understanding the relationship is key. It sounded like the gentleman started this clip describing a dating relationship. Whereas, Dr. Bryant was describing a marital relationship. There are different boundaries that get established between the different types of relationships.. But, what should be constant is open communication. I will accept Dr. Bryant's term of transparent communication. You should grow more transparent with your partner as the relationship grows from dating, to a commited couple, to a fiance, to a marriage. Added note: I am reminded of the second stanza of that Donny Hathaway tune - "I know it's you" I tell you nothing's better When there's no need to look 'Cause you know who's there I smile the world over The second stanza says

Divorce rates arent high enough. The truth is too many folks get married when what they should have done is break up and never ever get back together....hence the high divorce rate. People use marriage as a band aid for some odd reason. It doesn't work like that. Staying misrrably married isnt the goal. Being happily married is. 🤷🏾♀️

While I agree in reassuring our partners, Doc should have also spoken to the reality of the fact that he should have been transparent and vulnerable by saying hey I heard some guys in the background and it made me think that some guys were around you and I second-guessed what you said “… After all that is why he asked… if his girlfriend then freaked out and accused him of being a narcissist, then I understand… However, him asking a question and not effectively communicating why he asked a question was also the issue… Vulnerability should be a part of honesty and transparency

One thing I was taught, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. When she said then after we gain this trust we can come to the table and change it around. For what?
