I'm glad Dr. Bryant brought it to Anthony's attention on the "choosing" aspect in dating. We sometimes get mad when someone we're interested in or pursuing does not have substance, but it's about who you choose. If you're leading and choosing your partners based on looks/exterior only, you can't be mad when that person doesn't rise to the occasion when you want more than looks.

Dr. Bryant never claimed to be a “Super Saint” in the dating world, nor did she present herself as a pastor’s wife in training. As a psychologist and life coach, she offers valuable insights, but critics often attempt to undermine her by focusing on superficial issues, like her appearance, rather than her message. The type of man who approaches a woman with her level of self-assurance and confidence must also be self-assured, or he may feel emasculated or inadequate in her presence. A woman like Dr. Bryant will naturally yield to a man who makes her feel safe, supported, and protected-something both will recognize at a soul level. When you have some your work you will know the difference.
@JohnBrown-dx6zh3 күн бұрын
She does have good advice for women looking to get married and stay married, problem is she needs to not use her own current dating experiences because 1. It hasn't gotten her married 2. It's bad examples that contradict the man and relationship most women are looking to marry. For example, It's like an unsuccessful player with pro ability not making the the pros, but being a much better coach of the game than a player of the game. Moreover, they can coach a player with similar abilities they had to be a pro, but could make the pros based on their ability. Now, they have the pro mindset to go with the ability but are too old with too many past injuries to get there.
@missty1043 күн бұрын
@@JohnBrown-dx6zh I like that example. Playing devils advocate here 90% of the dating youtube content is run by men who are also still single. I just think she is judge far more harshly. But yes I did like your analogy. 🫡
@JohnBrown-dx6zh2 күн бұрын
@missty104 lol you just pulled that Stat right from the feelings over facts journal? I'll pass you one back, there are more single women that men want in the world than single men that single women want, therefore she is judged accordingly by a society that thinks she worth much less than what she (feels) she's worth. Especially being over 40 and childless w/o her background. Facts over feelings - KS

@iamjohnene5 күн бұрын
I like this and love Dr. Bryant. I’ve been intentional about studying more and I noticed the scriptures you referenced might be slightly misquoted. Romans 4:17 actually emphasizes God’s creative power and Abraham's faith, rather than a formula for manifestation. It’s about believing in God’s promises despite circumstances. For Philippians 4:8, it's more about focusing on virtuous thoughts rather than attracting what we desire. If you’re looking for verses that address God fulfilling desires, you might consider Matthew 7:7-8 or Psalm 37:4. They speak more directly to asking God for what we need. Just a thought! Great episode!
@buiefamily54544 күн бұрын
She's not a believer... never claimed to be. I'm sure her clients are from diverse backgrounds and faiths so she tailors her coaching and guidance accordingly. Women like her who are "spiritual" have a world view that is an amalgamation of new age and judeo Christian values. They patch together phrases in the Bible to draw in Christians but don't submit to the core tensnts. She's a great therapist not a minister or theologian.
@almmason72 күн бұрын
I've heard her claim to be a believer, but from the Catholic tradition but sounds like she may have been around protestant believers and be seeking or a baby Christian in need of a mature discipleship relationship as we all do because were all on different levels and places. 😊 @buiefamily5454

Although I disagree with this part like you do. It's not impossible for that to happen. At the same time. It's definitely not wise. The Bible says to "Run from the appearance of evil." They're putting themselves in a dangerous situation if the goal is to be celibate and honor God.

The biggest concern with how things start sometimes is how often they can also shift. Meaning.... people can change. You may respect each other and converse well during dating and the chemistry is great... but then after marriage, he or she is no longer wanting to communicate in the same way that worked for you. The once perfect dynamic is now a memory and now he or she wants to change what worked. How do you deal with that even after communicating your wants?
