I am the twin, and the middle child. I can somehow be teased by someone half my age and older by a minute. At this point we have been through so much that it’s all in good fun. We never stay mad. Anthony is such an amazing interviewer. The fact that he never really used the word “normal” and instead said “individual” as someone with a chronic illness, I despise when people use the word normal. Carmen and Lupita are so sweet and sassy, and I really resonate with them. But I (and my husband) have the added baggage of being physically and mentally disabled with Genetic conditions. We can’t in good conscience pass those on, even if we desired children. I think if you can grow and learn from your trauma and break the cycle it’s absolutely something you should do. I hope all the best for you and your family, current or future.

Can't speak for them, but as a person with a visible disability animals are just amazing in the way they don't treat you any differently than able bodied people whilst people seem incapable of seeing us as normal

Yeah, I grew up with a love and affinity for animals and wanted to be a vet. Until I learned that sometimes you can't save and animal or you have to euthanize. I don't have the thick skin to survive as a vet, so instead I work an office job and donate some spare time to our local SPCA. All the animals I have, have come to me over the years. I even had ducks for 1 year!

I am totally blind and sometimes it can be very overwhelming with the questions, assumptions and negative stereotypes and attitudes people have towards those of us with disabilities.
