Armeries always insert other members when someone praise Hsk... And yeah, he had many in-home producers to learn from, it is a natural process to learn technical stuff from other people who are Pro and longer in the busines but he is a real artist who figured out his own sound so why some of you need to insert other member when Hsk has his own unique sound and style?

The best thing about the rappers of BTS is that there is a rapper to fit your every mood. If I'm in the mood for some lyrical stuff, I go to J-Hope, and he makes me smile. When I'm angry and frustrated with life, I go to RM, and he sets me straight. When I feel some type of way, and need to express some serious emotions, I go to Yoongi, and he expresses how I feel perfectly. There's no best rapper because they really don't sit in the same lane as each other - they each have their own rap lane that they rule over. So there's no need to try to come up with one best answer, one best rapper. And it's funny you picked out Hobi's jaw line - he is famous for having an exquisite side profile. It's a very well-known thing.

I really love his raspy voice, and sometimes he use his high-pitched voice, and his singing voice is also beautiful. I really love his rapping, the flow is amazing. There is so much emotion whenever he raps and you can feel his energy through the music. Maybe it's because of his background as dancer. He's a well rounder performer, he's a dancer, rapper, singer, producer and he's good at everything he do. On every day life he's a sunshine and always make people around him smile, but on stage he's a beast, the king of stage present

About the rebranding in 2017. It's not necessarily a name change, but more of a name extension. They're still Bangtan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boyscouts), they just added the meaning of Beyond the Scene to make it easier for the Western world to know them. Fun fact: they introduce themselves differently depending on the language. In Korean, they use Bangtan Sonyeondan (their full group name), but in English, they use BTS.

The rap line are very much at the top of the genre, they just aren't given enough credit because of the language barrier. Suga for me is a rapper that tells it as it is be it something he is angry about, happy about, mocking or hurting from you know by the way he tells his story. RM does have an aggressive way of rapping and his rhyme schemes can be off the wall smart. J-Hope I think he has such amazing presence just by the way he raps. So confident and the way he mocks or talks down to whoever the rap is aimed at.

ah, so glad you're delving into J Hope... had to be after seeing him perform w/ his boys doing Outro: Tear live lol ;) J Hope's def a skilled, meticulous artist on so many levels (took me a little while to realize just how much also). he's clearly multitalented - raps, sings (he's a sub vocalist for BTS), is a songwriter, is their dance lead (and you know that alone carries prestige) keeping all his boys' choreo in check...and a chisel-chinned model (they're Louis Vuitton House and Fila Ambassadors too). something V (one of their vocalists) mentioned about J Hope that stuck with me, describing how J Hope would tend to act extra/playful in front of the cameras, like during interviews, so people don't realize the depth of his talents. his boys really respect him a lot. but like random people wouldn't know how dude's a skilled rapper by watching him perform Permission To Dance lol. on that note, their recent English songs - from Dynamite, to Butter, to PTD - are all meant to uplift due to so many of their fans worldwide and locally struggling with the pandemic. they're genuinely concerned about the current circumstances, and say in every interview they do that they're anxious to get back on stage to see their fans, while also working tirelessly to connect with them/us until then. they also know that doing one live in-person concert right now could cause an outbreak (all their concert venues are massive), so they're keeping it safe for everyone. do some of us wish they'd get back to releasing more cyphers or bangers like "ON", "Black Swan", "Dis-ease", "Ugh", etc? hell yeh. but they also got a taste of a Grammy nom that they want more of, and that means English releases - despite how their best work is primarily in their native language. what will come next, we'll just have to wait and see. but we best believe that BTS are full of surprises. on another note, the way you described how you pre-judged BTS is so relatable (i thought the same until i started diving into their content just last summer during their Dynamite era, because i kept hearing it everywhere lol). by watching you go on this journey, i'm learning a lot through your perspective and really appreciate it. i look forward to more of your reactions to BTS. btw, funny that you mentioned working out to BTS's rap line... i was just working out to your reactions of them LOL!

14:00 6che and 8ja are plays on Korean words. 6che sounds like Yookche which means 'body'. 'che' means a lot of things and can mean 'as a whole' so your body as a whole OR can be used to call a beat in traditional Korean percussion-. 8(pal)ja means the number 8 and can mean 8 characters but in this case a play on the word"palja" which means someone's destiny or fortune. So it can mean "your 6 beats are under my 8" - 'you (say/rap) 6 beats when I rap 8", and also mean "your body (you) is under my destiny" which can by interpreted as "you are way beneath me" lol. Basically putting those haters into place.

For me, j-hope is the rapper I like the most about bts, his voice is very addictive, I love his flow changes, the versatility that he has shown in all his solo songs is crazy. Please react to j-hope's Boy Meets Evil, it's a song by his vocal and rap combination.

14:00 6체(sounds '육체' means flesh), 8자(sounds '팔자' means destiny or life). So, the line means 'your flesh is under my destiny'. It makes more sense since number 6 is lower than number 8. And I think it seems like it has more meaning in a sexual way, but I cannot get it yet.

they’re the best rappers with their own style, but generally speaking, Suga top it all because he really makes music from tune, instruments, melody, lyrics and arrangement

Cypher Medley live 2017 made my 57yo self listen to rap. I would've never ever imagined that.
