Another great video Anthony, and even after viewing many of your previous videos I always find a little nugget of new or enlightening information whenever I watch your channel. Personally, I like the shorter, broken-down videos especially when I want to look for something specific plus, it helps with my pathetic attention span. Having said that, none of your videos are exhaustingly long so it's not really a problem. I already have my own playlist set up for your videos and being able to quickly navigate to a specific tutorial is always beneficial to me.

Love the three comparisons side by side! I'm a bit surprised HDR Merge didn't produce a more 'aggressive' output. I remember back in the old Photomatix (or even Aurora HDR) days the output would be like...WHOAH!

Anthony, thanks for sharing this with us. Very useful information. One thing I'd really like to see improved in Neo is their histogram. It would be nice to display just the individual red, green and blue channels. This along with an rgb parade would be great. Just wishful thinking I suppose. 🙂

What are your thoughts on correcting converging verticals in architectural photography?

If it's work for a client, say a realtor, architect or designer then this should definitely be done. If it's for your own work then it's up to you. Personally I find verticals that are slightly off a bit visually jarring. If the tilt of the camera is deliberately and blatantly up towards a tall building then it's best left as it is. Correcting extreme tilts just looks weird.

I use Lightroom to get my photos off camera and do my first culling. I haven't figured out a way to go to Luminar Neo to use the RAW development. Do you have a recommended workflow from Lightroom? Any help appreciated!

For some of my work I have a lightroom + Luminar Neo workflow. Unfortunately the way Neo and Lightroom process raw photos isn't quite the same and therefore they're incompatible from that point of view. If I'm doing LR first I'll do my technical edit (raw adjustments) to get the file close to how I want it and then will export either hq jpegs or 16bit tiffs for Neo to work its magic on. I'll then export the versions from Neo as jpegs and throw away the intermediate tiff files.

Hey Anthony, I'm a huge fan of your channel so thanks. This may be off topic but I'm trying to add Luminar Neo as a plug in for Affinity photo. I added the plug in by adding a PS plug-in, selecting the Luminar Neo folder from my programs in Windows, clicking the "allow unknown plug in to be used" and then restarting Affinity photo. When I open an image, go to filters, click plug ins and select Luminar Neo, I get "bad" and it won't load. I can use Luminar Neo as a stand alone but would love to be able to use it as a plug in. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
