Good morning, Angie. Just wanted to take this time to thank you for all the work you put into your channel. I am also 60, and I think I have been watching you for about eight years. I’ve learned so much and I’m so grateful. I will miss you on Tuesdays, but so happy you’ll still be doing your Friday videos (or whatever day works for you!😊). Good morning skincare lovers!! I've been looking for sunscreen companies that use coated zinc oxide & titanium dioxide in their mineral sunscreens so you can layer them with your US chemical sunscreens with confidence! So far I've read that SuperGoop & Paula's Choice use only coated minerals in their sunscreens! I'll keep looking and add more here as I find them. Have a great weekend! 💜 *Update: Just read that another term for uncoated zinc is non-nano zinc so if your mineral sunscreen is non-nano then I wouldn't mix it with a US chemical sunscreen.

Retin A is the gold standard but it really is true that some people can’t use it, no matter how slow they go. I kept trying for years because I had fomo! But my derm finally convinced me that I’m one of those people,doing more harm than good, even at 1x/week. I give Agency credit for telling me the same thing when I tried the Future formula, thinking it might be more tolerable at the lowest level. Inflamation is terrible for skin and can make other issues worse so,for some, we are better off w/retinaldehyde. It’s important for people to listen to their drs and not beat themselves up for being tret intolerant! Thanks for always providing science backed info. ☺️

When I started tretinoin, I used short contact therapy very successfully for my sensitive skin. Apply, wait 5-30 minutes (add time slowly depending on your skin's response), wash your face, and apply your skincare. In the clinical studies comparing short contact with traditional overnight application, results after a year were the same but irritation & side effects were dramatically less. It's another great way to work up to daily overnight application.
@9NightRaven Жыл бұрын
Did you still start with 1x per week or were you able to do this every day?
@dyoungerman. Жыл бұрын
@@9NightRaven I started with 2x/week for 5 min and monitored the response. After 3 weeks, I started adding a few minutes each week and adding a day every few weeks. Once I got to 30 min 5x/week, I moved to all night once per week over nighttime skincare & moisturizer. Then, all night once per week plus short contact once per week, and very gradually increasing from there. I currently do all night twice per week over skincare+moisturizer, plus 2 nights of prescription treatment for melasma, with 3 nights of skincare+moisturizer only.

Hi Angie, lots of great Q&As today on the use of Retin-A. I want to toss in my two cents worth and tell people not to use this product too close to their brows if they have had microblading and want it to last. So, to make my self feel better, I leave face wipes in my bedside drawer near the mask and give my face a quick wipe. Then, when I am done I will use the wipe to wipe the mask and let it air dry.

I really don't think you need to worry about your skincare interfering with the light... the wavelengths used aren't blocked by ingredients in skincare (or sunscreen). Omnilux even sells a sheet mask for use with the LED mask and the light gets through that.

Great video as always. I follow your skincare exactly and I’m 50, blonde, live in Texas and was a sun lover. I get compliments on my skin regularly. I tried the Maysama green tea and had a serious reaction. Bright red and burning. I’m certain it was that product because it was the only one I put on before using my LED mask. I contacted the company and they immediately refunded my $$ and sent me another product to try. They said it could be the niacinimide or aloe. So if you are sensitive beware! I just use a green tea toner by Isntree and no problems. Just sharing my experience so others are aware.

Angie, does Agency list the actual weight of product on their bottle? I tried Curology once and noticed no weight on the bottle. Not only that, the “free” bottle came with a small size of cleanser and moisturizer - which I hated both products. I had no idea that I had to opt out of them sending me full size tubes of those 2 items with my next order and got a surprise bill with the extra cost. And of course, they are way overpriced for the size. I felt extremely duped. I stopped my subscription and made an appt for a cosmetic consult with a dermatologist. The first consult was $150, I get a 45g tube of tretinoin for just under $55 and a 28g tube of hydroquinone for under $30 - much much cheaper than the approximate cost of $720/year for mail order subscriptions.

Hi Angie, I so need to have this question answered please. First, I love your channel. I have bought the Nuface, the Omnilux face and neck mask and the Nira laser as well as your recommendations on Timeless serums, sunscreen and moisturizer. I watch you almost daily. My question - If I use the Tria Smooth Beauty Laser on my face and am receiving the Omnilux masks soon, how would I combine these two into my skincare routine? I reached out to Omnilux and they said that Red Light Therapy is non-aggressive and non-invasive and is a very safe treatment for all skin types. Contour treatments are complimentary to a laser treatment, and results are much more enhanced, but didn't advise on a skincare routine using these two devices. Can you advise or lead me in the direction to learn more. Your reply will be so appreciative, so thank you

Do you have oily skin? I am 66 years old and I've had very dry skin since my teenage years. I am on Lancome night and day creams since I am 17. I never had pimples. I have loose skin on my cheeks. I don't have lines but my cheeks look like collapsed since I have lost 40 pounds. I just started Retin-A and I think it is drying out more and might not be good for me. What do you think? Thanks!

Hi Angie, when do you use your Nira? Before or after applying Retinol?

Thank you for this. You answered many questions some of us have. I apply skincare and makeup every morning and sometimes struggle with the best point in the process to apply sunscreen. Some combinations can peel off the face.

Hi Angie. I wish I had found your KZbin channel earlier. I am now almost 66 and started to incorporate your skin routine about two months ago. I hope at my "advanced" age I will get some benefit. I have noticed some smoothing of my skin. I do have a question. What are your thoughts on skin peels? Although normally for acne, the companies providing these peels purport a skin rejuvenation. Have you every tried skin peels?

Thanks for answering all the skincare questions, Angie. I followed your advice when starting tretinoin and never experienced the "ugly phase"..very little, barely noticeable peeling and then no issues. I just purchased a Tao Oma to deep clean my face and love how gently, but thoroughly, it works. I double-check with my dermatologist when I consider new skincare, and she's always on board with your recommendations. The Tao is my first "gadget," but I hope to get the others ASAP. I ain't gettin' any younger! 😂 Thanks again! XXOO ❤️

Hey Angie I was wondering if you knew about or tried the Vitamin C serum from Fig 1. They claim that it contains 15% L-Ascorbic Acid 1% Tocopherol, 0.5% Ferulic Acid but don't disclose the pH value . This brand sells refills (at least in my CVS they do) and I was wondering if it's a potential fresher option from the drugstore. It's more expensive than Timeless though so I didn't want to buy it without seeing a review first.

Great video as always. Question if you are using the hair max laser band? I would love to know if there was any improvement in hair thickness, etc. Thank you!

Thank you, Angie! How many pumps of the Agency do you use on your face? I’ve been doing Agency for a year now and really like it. Agency tells me to just do a “thin layer” but is that one or two pumps, etc.? Thank youuuu! 💕💕

Great info, Angie! Thank you. You are always a wealth of knowledge! ❤ (And just to clarify, Beauty of Joseon is a Korean sunscreen, not European. I pretty much exclusively wear Korean or Japanese sunscreens at this point!)

I just happened to see your packing vlog for your past trip to Greece. I would like to know what skincare you bring when you travel and how you pack it. I'm particularly curious about how you bring your serums and if you decant them and how. Love your videos!

Here’s another reason to layer sunscreens. I like the way my chemical sunscreen wears under make up but want some visible light protection too so I layer some Elta md uv physical on top. Probably not an issue though since my chemical one is European- bioderma. The Elta I have is not as good under make up in sufficient quality

After make up is applied and more than two hours goes by, do you reapply sunscreen throughout the day?

Hi Angie, I have recently bought a Retinol Serum which contains Retinyl Palmitate, plus a gazillion other things. Is this the same as Retinol?

Thanks for everything Angie! I’m 59. I can’t really afford all the devices at once. Would you recommend one as a can’t do without and I can get that and then the others later?

Angie, did Neutrogena discontinue the chemical sunscreen you used to use when you first started recommending sunscreens. If so which of the Neutrogena sunscreens is closest to the one you liked the most?

Hey Angie! I ordered futures formula through your link. The PA prescribed 0.009% Trentinoin for me to start. Do you suggest I start using it slowly or every night since it's such a low dose? Also, do you recommend the sandwich method with this low of a dose? Thank you so much!!

Hi Angie. Can you please comment on the ingredients and effectiveness of the Agency cleanser and moisturizer? It is an additional 14.95 every two months and I don’t know if I should be using it or other tried and true products. Thank you. Patty
