Excellent conversation, thank you!! I so agree about the tracking!! I've been using Cronometer religiously (virtually every morsel that goes into my mouth) for over 3 years and LOVE doing so!! It truly is eye-opening for learning portions as Matt said - plus knowing what I'm getting, both micro & macro, have helped me cut out some supplements because with the info I get from tracking, I know what I may be lacking, and then make an effort to tweak my diet to get those nutrients from food - it's a fun challenge for me!!

Veggies caused my rosacea and acne. As soon as I got rid of them and upped my fatty red meat, skin cleared and also became more plump. I glow now and I'm 35. Also, my PMS and insomnia went away completely. So I'm basically doing the opposite of what this guest recommends 😂

As someone who had a decade of antibiotics from age 3-13 and am still fixing my gut, I would suggest that you gut is messed up. Fixing it would improve your overall health and likely allow to you tolerate plants (which have benefits for many).

Could you please make a video on ADHD and how it correlates with food addiction and binge eating? Just found you page and love your videos!

Hey, what a coincidence - I have an interview coming up next week about dopamine and food addiction. We don't discuss ADHD but it's relevant for that, too! And this topic is great. I'll add that to the list. Thanks for the request, and have a great day 😊

I've understood there's not much difference between daily TRE vs. longer fasts. But could be wrong.
@peterz53
@peterz53 5 ай бұрын
On CR vs fasting suggest research from Lamming Lab (and ARDD talks). Seems that they overlap but also affect different genes. My view is that very mild DR combined with TRE makes sense as there are other lines of study which suggest TRE improves various health parameters. Dr Courtney Peterson is an expert on TRE having done research in this area over a number of years. She would be a great guest.
@iaminkaland
@iaminkaland 5 ай бұрын
I agree with you. DR seems to be necessary. But I also think that the general nutritional recommendations require a massive update. They're just mostly off... TRE makes logical sense, considering the light pattern and hormonal cycles. Thanks for the tips - I'll check everything out!

@orion9k

Regarding skin creams, everytime I have skin rash or something that looks like fungus, it's cured after a single day with using either olive oil or black nigella seed oil, so it's really not that complicated to cure skin issues in many instances.

After watching hours of these types of videos, it comes to light that the human body is too complex to truly understand. Do not eat man-made foods, keep sugars down, including fruits, to a low number, and exercise to some degree. That's all we can do folks... lol

That's interesting. In this study, they indeed reversed several aging markers in humans, and they observed an increase in FGF‐21 levels, which Dr. Kaeberlein also mentioned. However, they used Metformin (calorie restriction mimetic) and DHEA too. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6826138/

Thank you for the comment. While mTOR (mechanistic Target of Rapamycin) research has been around for some time, it continues to be a a key protein and pathway in the human body that regulates cell proliferation and survival - hence the key role in aging. I'll definitely keep featuring diverse experts for a broader perspective.
