Yknow, assisted suicide (or I guess euthenasia as it sounds a bit guilty trippy) is not necessarily meant for disabled people right. In the Netherlands and Belgium I know it's legal, it's mostly for elderly people who have a completed life, or people who really intrinsically want to die. They may be alone, partner passed away, did whatever they need to do, just sit around in a chair all day for their lives to end. It only happens when they actively ask for this, they're given multiple appointments with a psychologist whether it's what they truly want and it not being because of some other mental issue. If all is fine, green light is given, they take some drink and fall asleep peacefully and permanently. I get maybe suicide is against religion, but this doesn't need to be a consideration for people who find it offensive because of their beliefs. It's meant for a large group of people who don't go to heaven or hell but chose for a finite life. And they should obviously have the liberty to do so. I've seen a couple times the remains being scavenged from a suicide scene with an impact with a train (I live close by a crossing super popular with jumpers). Going out like this is dehumanising and hard to provide closure for loved ones. Atleast then assistance that keeps the body in tact makes mourning significantly easier on the family and friends of the victim. It's a beautiful thing it exists, and nobody cares what your opinion on this is. It's for people where suicide is already a given anyways. Thinking God or Jesus or whatever is going to fix this is very naive. Let's learn to live together and amongst eachother without pointing nasty fingers towards one another based on beliefs

Saved me from suicide with forgiveness, I was atheist and blamed everyone else for my problems. Now after graduating nursing school I will begin religious life. Long process not everyone will understand, but most with life experience do.
