I believe the band members statement, I do not believe that they have absolutely no clue what so ever he is a creep, but I do believe they are crushed. I've known people who have been charged of crimes I never thought they would do or ever be capable of. Creeps like that are really good at hiding their dark side and masking it with kindness and what they think the world wants feom them, but the darnkess always shows itself eventually.

I was at an anti-flag show in the late 90s. Somebody threw some water on stage and Justin freaked out. He threw down his guitar and chased the guy out into the street. He came back to the mic and gave a lame speach decrying the act and the "oppressive fascists" all around. It was dorky as hell and clearly not in earnest. I lost my respect for that band afterwards.

I’m sure the rest of Anti Flag is so sorry they disappointed you Dan for not giving a response in a time that you felt was appropriate. The woman in the podcast didn’t even mention Justin by name, probably because it wouldn’t have been believed by fans of Anti Flag. She literally says, in the video that she would continually look online to see if this happened to anybody else for years until she found one person. It literally goes against everything they supposedly supposed to stand for in their 35 year existence.They were alerted of the podcast, watched the podcast, called out Justin, and immediately quit the band mid tour. Your big concern is they quit their social media accounts who the fuck cares?

​@@RIKSOUNDZ Another oversight of @danframpt0n-imo as someone with loved ones who've been affected by SA-is that the rest of the band said they were processing their bandmate being a perpetrator and how dismissive Dan was about the whole dichotomy-they were grappling with-about someone who seemed like a good person, being awful in actuality. I've never been a fan of Anti-Flag (or had much familiarity with their music, for that matter), but I do think Dan failed to rule out the possibility of people, who were close to a perpetrator in whatever shape or form, being genuinely blindsided by the revelation of that person close to them perpetrating such atrocious acts upon others-in Anti-Flag's case, that's under the assumption the rest of the band were genuinely unaware. I think he initially pointed out their apparent cognitive dissonance fine, but then harped on it a bit too long and really undermined, in a general sense, how devastating it can be for those who were close to a perpetrator, but didn't have any idea what was going on until after they were reported. That experience of betrayal to this severity tends to require a lot of processing-even therapy to boot-to get through and manage how that breach of trust can profoundly impact peoples' ability to trust again. In closing, from my familiarity with Dan's other content, I sense it's not really his character or schtick-but, for any future content on SA and allleged SA, it may behoove him to approach the topic with a considerably higher degree of sensitivity compared to his usual content/approach, or at least attempt to do so to the best of his ability at the time. I hope Dan can learn from some of these comments and do better in the future.

I think they may have phrased the "kind and selfless" part wrong. I would have said abusers can APPEAR (not "are") kind and selfless. After all, abusers don't want to be scrutinized so they gotta put on a performance to dissuade criticism (no pun intended). But even then, what they did write is still icky and even talking about Justin Sane in any positive light is not okay. And keep in mind that my first sentence is speculation and not a defense for them. I could be wrong about that assumption and tbh the band is perfectly capable of representing themselves responsibly without online stans with no life.
